Identify Looking for an old side-scroller where mc wears a knight armour

Basically the title. It's a very old game and all I remember is that MC(most likely male) wears a western knight armour and
and used a big axe if I remember correctly. It's style was similar to Street Fighter but the theme was medieval. The game was 2d. You'd have to cleave lots of enemies each stage and fuck downed enemies to recover health. I hope someone remembers it. Thank you.
