I love the corruption genre. It's probably the main reason I play h-games (and why i mostly play female protagonist and cruel netroare focused games). One of the forms of corruption that I recently got a taste of and enjoy seeing is when the female character (either a female protagonist or even the main female character in a cruel/betrayal focused netorare game) has her morals corrupted once she gets a taste of luxury.
These stories have plots such as the hot young but poor female protagonist debasing herself and her morals to get together with the person who can provide her a high society life, which usually is a rich, ugly, old man.
Or in other cases, it's the story of the female protagonist who already has a 'pathetic' poor boyfriend/husband who she 'truly loves', but as the game progresses, she meets a rich man who seduces her and shows her luxuries she could never imagine, causing her to initially cheat before ultimately casting aside her previous partner to continue living the high society life.
I think that the main reason i really enjoy this type of corruption story is that it's a story in which the intially poor and struggling female protagonist, in a very twisted way, ultimately ends up 'winning' by living a life that offers her things that most others could only dream of. Like sure she ends up losing her dignity and 'true love', but it's not a story in which she ends up as a drug addicted street whore (ala Metamorphosis). Instead, its a story that ends with the female protagonist living in a mansion, wearing expensive clothing and jewelry, and being provided with the finest of luxuries that she could ever want.
Here are some titles that feature this plot line that I have already played.
Star Knightess Aura - the story of a bookworm girl named Aura with a 'poor, pathetic' boyfriend. As the game progresses, depending on your choices, Aura is mentally corrupted to slowly transform into a bimbo/gyaru. Rewriting things like her love for books with a love for fashion. She goes from focusing on being the top student in the country to making sure she looks as best as she possibly can. She eventually (depending on if your on the corruption route), starts to realize how pathetic her boyfriend is and slowly starts succumbing to the hot, 'heir to one of the biggest companies on the planet' antagonist of the story who gifts her all the luxuries she wants (and of course, has a bigger dick than her boyfriend). She can eventually fully get together with the antagonist (Richard), leading to the full corruption ending. I really, really enjoy this game.
Inside Jennifer - Jennifer, a very pretty, young girl moves with her boyfriend to the big city to try and make something of their lives. One of the main routes/endings is her realizing that this old, but wealthy man is smitten with her and can provide her with luxuries that her boyfriend probably never would be able to attain, so she purposefully chooses to throw away love and ditches her boyfriend to end up marrying the rich man and become his trophy wife. One of the ending scenes of this route is her sunbathing at the pool of her mansion, with her looking like she's undergone a lot of expensive beauty treatments.
A Wife at Stake - still somewhat early in development, it's about a beautiful, smart 26 year old woman who runs a fruit stand business with her 36 year old, average looking parter. They want to buy a house but can't really afford it, so they have the wife go on a reality show contest with a cash prize. Through the show, the woman meets this actor/singer celebrity who of course is very rich and handsome, and you the player can make the choice of whether she falls for him and the luxuries he is showering her with. The most latest free update featured her intial steps into cheating on her partner.
Katie's Corruption - Katie is beautiful college student with a boyfriend. Throughout the game and depending on your choices, she can succumb to her ugly old boss' demands to be his fucktoy secretary. One of the endings is her marrying him, bearing his child, and although it's a marriage without any ounce of love and she is just a plaything, she is content because she lives in a luxury penthouse, dines at the finest restaurants, wears the finest (skimpy) clothes, and overall is in a place on the social bracket that she would never have been able to obtain.
Descent - very similar to Katie's Corruption (as it was directly inspired off of it), but it's about a woman joining a law firm in an apprenticeship and trying to make sure she is selected to stay on board. One of the characters is this rich, old, sexist ceo who is a client of the firm. Depending on your choices, if the female protagonist does not meet the requirements of getting the law firm position but has charmed the rich ceo, she can get together with him.
I was hoping to get some recommendations for games/vns that feature this type of plot/route. Where through some sort of situation, the female protagonist ends up getting together with a rich person/throws away her old relationship to live in luxury. I'm fine with it being a female protagonist game or it being a netorare game where the main love interest leaves the main character. Just hoping to see more versions of the story of a woman abandoning her dignity and/or her boyfriend/husband to live a life of luxury.
