Okay so what comes to mind are all the games of NLT Media, for example Treasure of Nadia.
The gameplay is pretty good, the animations are godly and you will have a lot of playtime.
Then there is also Night Of Revenge, in terms of actual gameplay one of the best games out there, sidescroller.
Another one with good gameplay and very good animations would be Goons Raid Her.
If 3d isn't your thing then Claire's Quest will have good art, gameplay and a lot of different routes.
