I am a novice dev looking for a 3D modeler/artist that has assets that are modular.
As in, heads, torsos, arms, legs, etc are all detached from each other and are expected to be put together at runtime.

Some other preferences:
+ Anime-style
+ Free (Commercial use restriction is fine)
+ Multiple Hairstyle
+ Multiple Eye styles

Any pointers to sites for this, a collection, or a specific artist is welcome.
(Looked around the asset forum and it's mostly specifically for certain programs)

I am working on a character creator and animation system built on Unity and want a starting model to test things as I go.
If there isn't a fitting artist, then I can cut up a base model.
I'm trying to avoid that because I want to see if the 3D style matches certain shaders and animation styles.

Thank you in advance!

Why do you want torso, legs and arms seperate? These are normally changed via blend shapes/keys or the rig's bones directly. Even with the face you can get away with a lot of customization just via blend keys. The hair and clothing are the only seperate parts in my latest game. I only randomize the face, hair and clothes atm. I might look into smaller breast option in future but this is also done via blend shape rather than replacing the mesh.

As for artists for hire, dunno about any but you might be interested in looking into this (just contact the author to get persmission to use in game since these mainly target vrchat so some might not be okay with use in games. they are normally open to this. it is where I found one of the models I use in my game)

Keep in mind what I said about blend shapes cause you will note a lot of these models have such options on them.

Oh, and since you are after an anime style, vroid is another option. I used this for my previous game to generate the base models. You can find a copy on steam

No adult stuff in it so you will need to hack that in via texture and/or mesh changes in Blender. You can find some stuff related to it on the booth site I mentioned before. Just search for vroid there.
