HTML - Love and Corruption [v0.4.6 Public] [Airell]

I was considering giving this a 3 because overall it is pretty good, but it is just coc without some of the worse fetishes that game offers and really shines light on the bad parts of this game. The absolute worst being the writing. Seeing as this a text based game, the bad writing is very apparent. It reads like the dev doesn't speak English natively and has maybe 2 years experience with speaking it. Grammar and spelling errors are in abundance in this game, and the writing would be bad even if it was written by a native speaker. The dialogue is stiff and doesn't feel natural, characters' personalities change scene to scene, especially the mc. One moment he gives off the vibe of disliking or outright hating his elf companion and a scene later he flirts with her. Gameplay is simple, if you played coc or any game like it before you've played this. Sex scenes suffer from the poor writing and the dev has thing where he writes actions like *thrusts dick inside* which is absolutely awful for smut. I would suggest just skipping this one until the dev gets an editor, an actual editor mind you not just some random fan with less English experience than the dev, and wait for the dev to get better at writing in general.
Edit: For posterity I will leave my previous thoughts so people know how far this game has come. The writing has had a significant improvement which was a huge issue previously and no longer has things like *insert dick inside* and characters like MC are far more consistent in how they act. The dev has very clearly attempted their best at addressing issues over the year since I last reviewed and deserves support in at least some way. The only thing stopping this from being a full five stars for me is I can't breed the inn milf. Once I can put like 5 babies in her I will update to full five.

This is a text based porn game where you play as a young man whose father is killed and home town is sacked by demons. Taken in by the elves and set on a quest towards stopping the evil demons who are out to corrupt the land.

It is basically a CoC2 clone, but vanilla.
Same GUI, same map style, similar combat style.
But unlike CoC there is no rape, no futa, no furry, no gay, no trans, etc etc. Sounds wonderful.

Also the bust art is fantastic as well, very cute girls. Each with two images (clothed and naked)

The problem is that the writer's English is atrociously bad. Which is a really big problem in a text game.
It is hard to tell if they are using a translation software here. Some of the mistakes look like only a human would make them. On the other hand there are consistent he / she mixups that are endemic in machine translation.
Unfortunately I am just forced to lower my score because of this, as this is a text game.

If they get an editor who knows what they are doing I will raise the score. As it is, it is just painful to try to parse this.

Very good take on the corruption of champions genre, it has a decent amount of content at this point. Combat is still a little difficult without doing a lot of prepping/rng in some cases but for the most part its pretty easy to keep going.

After playing through most of the content up to 0.1.8 these are my thoughts, and ill try to tell you if should play this game or not

Pros
- Heavy pregnancy/impregnation theme game, you can tell the dev is very passionate into this aspect, going further than any dev on this site, adding a very detail system and even taking it a step further where you can talk/interact with your kid with very wholesome moments.
- Attractive art, you can even see the LI baby bump get bigger through the days.
- You can enslave some LI.
- Theres a variety of bodies to them, a great variety of species, the guy before my review had a problem with "feminine hips" i personally like them instead of male looking ones, if you play more through the story you can see the more skinny/shorter ones.
- Theres a full drawn sex scene and possibly more in the future

Neutral points to take into account if you want to decide to play this or not
- There are a few misspellings and misgendering (sometimes he uses "he" to refering when a girl is talking and viceversa) in the game, if you are sensitive to that then you had a headsup
- Theres no rape, no gay, no futa and obviously no ntr(which i think is a dub in my opinion).
- The story is not GRR martin level writting but its good and interesting enough from going to 0 to something, basically building your own character
You can play a route withouth pregnancy but that would be a shame in my opinion, since this is the best game on F95 with pregnancy involved

I would 100% recommend this to everyone even people that don't like html games like myself , you shouldn't miss this gem because of it

1/5 - DNF; didn't get me off

With there being dozens of CoC clones out there, Love and Corruption needs to do something to stand out. It tries to do this by being more vanilla - no rape, no gay, no futa, no beastiality, etc....

Now while this may be enough, Airell doesn't deliver on it. The big problem is the writing - there are so many grammar mistakes it's like it was run through Google Translate. Descriptions are detailed and thoughtful, but this is all overshadowed by the jarring errors. Wrong tense, wrong punctuation, wrong words even. It makes it hard to get into the game, especially so since the game is almost entirely text based. After an hour I gave up.


+ Most characters have their own busts. Clothed and nude. Well drawn

- Combat descriptions need more detail
- NPCs need to be more varied. Most characters are repetitively described as having D breasts and feminine hips
- MC is too passive. It's one thing to exclude rape from the game, it's another to make MC a mute who just does whatever the girl tells him (even during win scenes!)

A very interesting game idea. I really like the fact that you can create a hero and modify the appearance of the hero which affects the dialogues. I want to praise visions of the world of fantasy and very interesting drawn characters.

The game has great potential! I liked the game.
