nothing special, average puzzle slider-gem game.
attack gems, magic gems, rage and heal.
skills + grind a ton of money.

    issue with this is

    english isnt the best
animations are really weird (the first girl literally has a boob that moves around like an eyeball in a horror movie, while the other boob doesnt move one bit)
    slow on attack animations etc.
when you mix 4-5 gems, the special gem doesnt appear where you matched them, but rather somewhere random in the chain of pieces. this makes trying to set up combos rng heavy and is just dumb.
there seems to be a glitch where you cant rightclick the rainbow gems if you skip the tutorial. and even with cheat engine at 3 times the speed, the tutorial took like 6 minutes. for a watered down version of candy crush.

imo these games are so overused that the majority of them deserves a 1* for being nothing special. but since they are all mediocre its a 3*.

but due to the flaws, this one is a 2*

You've played one Match-3 game, you've played them all. In terms of gameplay, Love Fantasy does nothing different. It has a very similar to Mirror, another Match-3 game with RPG-lite elements sprinkled over what is the usual Match-3 affair. Despite the scenes being excellent and well animated, the game isn't fun at all to play because it kinda fails and giving my monkey brain the joy that a Match-3 game should as it feels too rigid.

I'll be honest, I didn't pay attention to the story at all here because unlike RPGM games where your actions actually might have consequences in terms of H-Content and provide some titillating context, Love Fantasy is the type of game where sex will ensue in the same way regardless of what you do and is utterly disconnected to the game itself that it doesn't really matter. The short of it, at least what I gathered from a cursory glance speeding through dialogue, is you're in a different world trying to find a way back and fighting some disillusioned goddesses and fucking them into shape. Huzzah.

The H-Content is sexy, imo. It's all animated. You get two scenes per girl (there are six of them, the last one getting unlocked after you beat the final boss which is a non-girl) with one scene dedicated to teasing and the other one to fucking. Frankly, I'd avoid clicking the Story Mode when unlocking the scenes. You should go into Free Mode. Story mode is slow as hell for some reason and the dialogues don't seem skippable. The flavour-text is been-there-done-that variety and doesn't add anything. I say scenes but they aren't really scenes, more like seven distinct images involving a different state of teasing or fucking. Meh.

Where the game doesn't really work for me is the actual gameplay. Match-3 games are really hard to fuck up. However, somehow, Love Fantasy makes destroying three Macguffins in a row look terrible. Whereas the likes of Mirror and HuniePop have some fluidity to their animations with lots of explosions, movement and dynamism to the gameplay, Love Fantasy feels awfully rigid and boring. Blocks don't move as nicely and fluidly, when they explode they don't shower you in colors, your mouse gets locked when things are cascading so you feel trapped and the cascading itself doesn't look good either, being a jittery mess that's far too stolid for a game of this variety. The backdrop isn't light enough and tile art gives a feeling of the blocks being heavy stones, difficult to move rather than the light airy things they should be. This severely detracts from the experience as you're not enjoying destroying things and the girls clothes in the process. Why not just simply google the CG instead or get a save game?

Luckily, there's a "Win Battle" button that you can use at absolutely no cost whatsoever if you're getting bored (I did get bored while fighting the final boss, it was taking too long). The game isn't difficult and you'll lose maybe once or twice because of some attacks the Mermaid has but otherwise it's smooth sailing.

But really, the game isn't all its cut out to be. Look at the CG, they're good. The gameplay is awful. You're better trying one of the other myriad Match-3 games if that's what you're feeling on a particular day.

With the recent patch, the game has solved the troubles I had in my previous review, meaning I'm releasing that four-star score.

Yes, it's still a simple Match-3 puzzle game, with some mild ryona elements during gameplay (not during the sex scenes AFAIK,) and a placeholder story. But it an amusing timesink nonetheless, and playing on hard mode can actually be a bit of a challenge. So yeah, the game's anything but a masterpiece, but it's good enough.

    ::OLD REVIEW BELOW::

The version available here (1.0.0) is bugged, and might not let you fight the third girl, instead placing you in an endless load screen. I don't know if there's any way to circumvent this issue, and thus I can't give a higher score than 2 atm.

With that said, for what this game appears to be, it is decent enough. We all know the drill: Match three puzzle the girls into submission and then go ham on them. It's a good time waster.

    Version Reviewed: v1.00

Overview: Battle and then sex up some goddesses in a match-3 puzzle game with RPG mechanics.

Story: Your character is dumped into a fantasy world that's falling apart because the gods that are supposed to be holding it together are bickering and you gotta fuck some sense into them. The game has an issue where the text box draws WAAAAY TOOO SLOOWLY, so you can click to fast forward, but the clicking is buggy and will tend to skip the next line if you use it. There is no rollback if you miss a line. The dialogs are also extremely long, and you get to go through them again if you lose a battle. You can hold CTRL to fast forward, which is amusing because it also speeds up the boob jiggling effect.

Gameplay: Generic Match-3 game for the most part. There are only a small number of tile types so chain reactions are fairly easy to pull off. Each tile has a special effect that can be triggered if you've built up special tiles by doing 4 tile matches. There are also special tiles you can get from 5 tile matches. Each match win or lose gives you some money depending on how well you play. The money can be used to upgrade stats, buy different effects for the special tiles, or buy single use items you can use in the match. Your opponent has passive effects that change the game slightly and active powers that trigger every few turns that usually put negative status tiles on the board.

The difficulty curve is a bit of an issue. There are 6 battles. On a 10 point scale I'd rate the challenge level as: 1, 1, 7, 1, 1, 10. You don't even really have to understand the game effects to do 2/3 of the battles, you can win just making the best match you can. The Mermaid and the final boss however are way harder. The final boss requires basically a perfect build, perfect gameplay, and a whole lot of luck in the tiles you get to make sure his ridiculous healing effect is shut down or he's just straight up impossible.

Graphics: Each girl has two sex scenes as well as some "battle damage" cheesecake. You unlock the first scene after beating her twice, and the second after beating her four times. That's it. They are all animated, but it's kind of flash-animation looking. Lots of stretching of the static picture to make motion. The porn scenes have the same dialog box issues and way too long text, but you can also thankfully choose a "free play" mode that just lets you see the animations without the dialog.

Overall: Shallow and unsatisfying match-3 gameplay with a messed up difficulty curve combined with buggy and wordy romance mode makes it hard to recommend the game.
