This game is pretty good, there is a good amount of h-scenes that are all earned and not just given away, the game mechanism is pretty good with the job, promotions, studies, etc...

But there's a lot of bad things:

• Most of the girls are tall big boobed bimbo and while there are some different personnalities, the cast is mostly composed of them
• The other girls that don't fall under that category only have 1 or 2 scenes and that's a real shame because they have a lot of potential

Jesus Christ just take a fucking shower dude... I promise you people do care if you smell like a rotting carcass irl they just wont often say it to your face. But they will talk about you to others and eye you with disgust. This review dedicated to the man below me. Someone please buy him soap and a power washer so he can clean himself of his melancholy... and flesh rot. Also if you thought I was seriously mad.

Oh the game is pretty fun too more of a 4 than a 5 but I wanted to build the average score up a it... Game is good, Dialogue could use some variety but most of the girls are fun... Except for Alexis stay away from that one oh and Sasha will ask you to do a MMF threesome and the dialogue option for no is weak sauce and doesn't let you be nearly spiteful enough, nor does it give the option to break up with her then and there, and saying yes just makes you feel like you are being played especially because it is with the ex she supposedly wanted nothing to do with when she moved in with you and Bree. Actually stay away from Sasha too and again make sure you shower and eat regularly both in game and out.

I always appreciate life simulators for what they try to do, make things realistic and offer us a variety of experiences and opportunities. We get a plethora of apparent options, many places to go, and individuals to talk to.

The first real reason this whole thing falls apart in my eyes is the lack of dialog options. You click something, get a shitty pickup line, and get them to hate you for clicking said button. It doesn't really feel natural nor does it communicate much.

Another issue was the fact that literally nobody wanted to interact with me once I started refusing to take showers. From experience, I can say that nobody cares if you take showers if you are a code monkey, so being unable to toil away at my job because I didn't keep my body clean feels like an unfair restriction. What is the point of a life simulation if it is going to arbitrarily restrict you?

With no real ability to continue my job or ability to interact with people, I proceeded to stand around the office and stare at a wall. Then I would get kicked out, go home, and do the same. Not one person got creeped out by my obsession at staring at walls. Nobody came to help me out of my spiral of depression. When my hunger meter got too low that it got nagging, I inevitably went to eat, then I would return to my duty of starting at walls and contemplating the point of life.

Desperately, I tried to get out of my funk. I decided I must buy a spy camera with the purpose of getting voyeur tapes. I then realized I didn't know how to use the spy camera. I tried going to college and asking, but nobody wanted to deal with me on account of me smelling. Due to my life choice of refusing to take a shower, I also ruined my chances of operating electrical equipment.

If you, dear reader, wish to play this game I must warn you that the developer makes it almost mandatory to take a shower. If you get depressed to the point that you can barely get out of bed in the morning, nobody will hold remorse. Love & Sex is a cruel world where most will find success and harems, but it shall come at the cost of lowering your dignity and standing underneath a shower head on an almost daily basis.

At some point I stopped even caring about the basic rules of survival. I stopped eating. I stopped sleeping. All I did was stare in the middle of the living room. People would come and argue, then they would leave. I was mostly invisible to the world. Nobody cared about my depression, nobody cared about me. Nobody saw the warning signs, nor did anyone reach out and bring me to a councilor. Do councilors even exist in this world? I have yet to see one and feel more alone as the seconds tick by.

I inevitably break down and forget all rules of society. I start masturbating furiously in the middle of the living room every few hours. Nobody ever mentions anything. Not that it really matters, everyone pretty much hates me at this point anyways.

People still talk to me and still have events. Quite a large number of various chains that could be likely exciting if I actually cared to talk to people. I got some goth roommate who tells me I am shit, some other roommate who wanted me to do stuff for her but I couldn't be bothered, and a fat friend who mostly mocks me. People talk about how great the place is and all the wonderful fun I could be having. All this does is make me lament for all the opportunities I am missing out on. The virtual simulator is telling me that it is my fault for making these choices and is actively telling me to change.

So what can you, dear reader, take from all of this? Maybe that Love & Sex is much a parallel of real life, playing it as a depression simulator will make things even more depressing. What is even more depressing is perhaps that literally nobody cares however. There is zero support networks. You are supposed to be happy and enjoy the stuff you have been given. If you don't, Love & Sex will show zero remorse and continue on without a care in the world. Why eat and sleep if there is no risk of death?

In the world of Love & Sex, everyone cares about you properly taking care of yourself. No mercy given to those who don't. Conform or rot in the middle of your living room since you can't even escape to death. I didn't do my chores, the girls will be mad. Also, the rent is due, except I can't even get more money and I spent most of mine on a spy camera I can't even use.

Inevitably, I ran out of money. Nobody seems to even care. Nobody cares about much. People just sort of ignore me. Everyone holds a bit of disdain. I am a miserable wretch who has made a sunny beachhouse his prison. I get a lot of unknown callers. Nobody in my phone I even recognize. I feel alone.

7/10, great misery simulator.

I am changing my review to give the lowest rating because this game doesn't deserve a high rating. Let's start with the gameplay which is where you play, it's quite slow to move from board to other, as well as the conversations and the back function. You spend minutes and even many hours to grind the game so that in the end you end up being disappointed in something. This game was supposed to be a dating sim, but it doesn't even come close, even a mod TheSims gets better if you find something competent out there.

Now I want to talk about the arts, some people say they are good, aren't they, if you see some games around here the arts are amazing and the arts in this game are poor. The girls hardly look alike, one minute you notice your nose is small and another scene you notice your nose is a little bigger. This is just an example, the game itself, should improve in several aspects and details, yes, details, something that doesn't have in this game.

The fun that this game brings gets to be disappointing many times, not to mention the bugs that can arise in the game and cause your gameplay to be compromised by some error preventing you from moving forward and restarting a new game. Can you imagine the hours of grind you did even with cheats and having to go back all over again? not to mention you have to keep an eye on the walkthrough because the gameplay isn't sophisticated when you imagine it, there isn't a relationship where you're flirting with someone and there are detailed options in conversations, it's just earning a love or kink score and that's it. The girls are not jealous unless you kiss them in front of another, by the way, it's as easy to get sex on a first date as you might think, too, if we didn't have that option we'd be sticking around forever to get a scene. There are also many places that don't take you anywhere, you go to the cinema and you can't even get a handjob or blowjob, if you want to take the girl to the beach or waterpark you will have to invite her on Saturday or Sunday afternoon in summer, at spring is impossible. So you are in winter, autumn, spring without being able to have fun or better, without being able to take a girl to some specific places. The freedom to do what you want is limited and scripted, and as for making a girl your sex slave, it's totally useless as there isn't much specific content.

This game had everything to be good, with the amount of $ they are earning they could hire a better artist to create their models designed for the game. They could hire one more person to help with the coding as the game needs it and also add more function to the game that would appeal a lot more to other people. Why am I saying this? you keep grinding so much that there are very few sex scenes for you to enjoy, in the blink of an eye you've already finished with character X and the game forces you to marry her, (unfortunately we don't have more content with this character, come back in a new game to you unlock the endings with others) not fucking way.

The game is good, there is an excellent variety of ladies to choose from and even some legit harems that can be built with the girls openly agreeing to such a relationship. The art is good, and the sex scenes are nice. While the game can feel grindy, once you get pass that there's plenty that will keep you busy and happy.

The music choices for the game are nice with some girls having their own personal themes. However, game has yet to implement a specific theme for sex scenes. Instead, whatever music that playing before the scene triggers is what plays during the scene. In most cases this will be the game's general theme, which feels REALLY out of place.

Lastly, the writing for the most part is good, and in some cases great. However, the writing for the sex scenes is an exception and feels flat and lifeless. This is especially the case, on a second read where you can notice the writing's use of generic and often unnecessary words that don't add anything to the sentence.

Overall it’s a fun game, with obviously passionate creators that I recommend to those looking for a fun and enjoy dating sim with a lot more content than most out there.

The sandbox thingy is very good in this game, you could do anything, and the route system is neat (well at least for the main girls). The gameplay itself can be very grindy, but it pays off by meeting different girls and different scene as the relationship escalates. The artstyle is not the greatest, sometimes can be kinda rought, but still pretty sexy. Recommended game for yall horny gentlemen

Review:
It is definitely one of the few games that was difficult to evaluate, because there are good things and there are also bad things. The game surprised me a little, because I liked some mechanics and others not so much. Even so, it is one of the games that many creators don't usually put on, a small thing that could make a big difference (or maybe not, it depends), which is the option of getting a girl pregnant. Yes, I see a lot of tags in games saying "pregnancy", but you don't actually see a pregnant girl in the game. Otherwise, that's why I said "it depends", as this game has an art style different from standard DAZ3D games or any similar art style.

PROS:
There are two things I congratulate, the first is the scenario that has the 4 seasons (summer, autumn, winter and spring), because the scenery changes depending on the weather of the season and after 30 days the season changes. And the other is that it is possible that you can get a girl pregnant, she get pregnant and you can have sex with her. Relationship building is also great, the writing is also good, the story is interesting to follow.

CONS:
There are several bad things in the game, the navigation between places is confusing and bad. In this regard, it should be more organized, because we always end up clicking in the wrong place, but this is not a big problem, a small problem is the delay that happens, that sometimes the game ends up being a little slow while we are clicking. It is necessary to follow a walkthrough so that you do not get stuck in some process, which is very bad, as there are times when you end up wasting your time. Gameplay:
I like sandbox games where you move through board to get from place to place, without having to click on scenarios (like point-n-click). The grinding you have to increase the stats I think is normal, because many times I don't think it's so bad, but the tasks that you have to do to trigger the progression and have to go to a walkthrough, I thought it very bad. Not to mention that in some cases you end up wasting your time getting stuck in some progression, and there is no information to give you any hint of what you need to do. But, at least the game has an in-game cheat that makes it easy to not waste time with the game's own grind, the MC having to eat, sleep, etc. There are plenty of girls for you to interact with, which is good. The relationship between the girls varies from one to the other, but they all follow the same destiny. The game works well in the relationship.
Graphics & Sexual Content:
I am not going to talk much about the arts, because this goes from each one. Some characters I thought attractive and beautiful, and others not so much. But talking about the sex scenes and animations, it's pretty weak content. Well, to tell you the truth I don't think I saw an animation and since the game has voice action, I didn't hear any moans.

Why I did gave 2 stars?
Sincerely, I thought a little childish visual, it's like the game is for a teen audience, you know? But the content of the writing is good, although there are a lot of texts. The game has good things and bad things, but I'm not saying the game is bad. About being worth playing, yes, try to experiment, maybe you like it, but the fact that I gave it two stars is because there are few sex scenes and there is a very high gameplay grind.

Very good, engaging game with tons of content.

Lots of girls to choose from, I guarantee you'll find a couple you like. The content was surprisingly erotic to me given the art style, not normally my speed but I got off multiple times in this game, which is really unusual for me! Kudos to the developers to building tension and offering release, most can't get it right and this game absolutely does.

Given the amount of time I enjoyed this game, I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I just can't because of the going back and forth between the areas.

Click on living room, click on hallway, click on bathroom, click on shower, click on "okay I'll leave the bathroom," click on living room, click on kitchen, click on eat, click on coffee, click on living room, click on neighborhood, click on city, click on office, click on my office, click on work or work hard, click on work normally or slack off.

Really? 75%+ of days start with that sequence. 17 clicks before you can start what you're actually trying to do. And odds are you'll click on the wrong area every few navigation attempts, as all the squares look so similar, and have to go back and click again.

Then, after you get deep into the game, you realize you need to advance like 24 days before you can do the next thing that you want to do. There is no way to do this quickly, it will probably take over an hour of clicking, no joke, even if you interact with nobody, because every day you need to click around the house several times even if you want to do nothing. You can't even just wait easily, as if you wait, all the girls will text you, saying they miss you, so waiting for one hour results in clicking through at least one text from a girl, sometimes several. Why?!?

But, despite that massive annoyance, this game is very entertaining and you can joyfully sink a few hours into it. There's a lot to discover and a lot of fun to be had here, definitely recommended!

PROS:

- lots and lots of characters, events, stuff to do
- in-game guide
- nice progression system with girls
- beautiful art
- ETA you have some control over how the heroines look (giving them items, affecting their stats, progressing their story) - this is a HUGE pro

CONS
- a little too much text - even the simplest events are padded with a ton of unnecessary internal monologues, thoughts etc. About 30% could be cut out without losing the whole meaning.
- inconsistent art (character sprites, sex scenes and random events all have different art)
- navigation is still a little bit awkward (the panels are too small and too similar)
- Sasha reminds me of my EX.

I spent quite a lot of time with it, and it was better than I was expecting.


Even though this game is incomplete, as I'm making this review, it already has a lot of content and even some endings(I got one for one of the first two girls, but I assume that there's already one for the other one, more on that later on the review). But with that it also gets a little unforgiving in a way that if you skip a lot, without ever looking at any kind of guide you might lose a character out of nowhere.

I've been playing this game since before the art changed, when it was still made from blurry real characters. Since then, a lot of work has been done, and a lot of content added. However, i'm now a bit lost with so many (too many ?) characters around. It's getting repetitiv, will there be any end ?
I guess I miss the fun to start the game from the start and discover it.

Very good writing, with a diverse group of characters, and reasonably good voice acting. Project is updated regularly with content and bug fixes. Art style is subjective: I like it, but you may not. At present, NTR content can be avoided; and most "grind" can be minimized (without cheats) by consulting the fan Wiki.

Story 4 Stars: The story has several paths and romance options with all kinds of outcomes. Enough to keep you replaying.
Characters 4 Stars: Tons and tons of romance options! There is a type of girl for every guy.

What I liked: I liked that so many storyline interchange and connect weaving a spectacular story with incredible detail and focus on personalities and viable realism.

What I didn't like: None of the storylines are actually completed. You could Argue that Sasha or Samantha's are yet I call that a load of hoey! Yeah I said it! What are you going to do, cry at me? Jokes aside even though Samantha's storyline feels the most fleshed out you are left without a full love score of 100 hinting that more is to come. I'm also very sad that there are currently only 3 marriages atm, 4 if you count Sasha and Bree together as a separate marriage.

Final verdict: I highly recommend. This game can be a little grindy so if that isn't for you feel free to walk away, the game is clearly unfinished and far from being completed with several minor bugs and glitches but if you can look past all the bugs in skyrim you can easily look past the bugs here.

Recommendations for the Devs: Please start finishing some of these paths and add some more marriages/endings before adding more characters. The one issue i face now is once you have that perfect save there really is no longer replay value without additional endings. Just my opinion and thoughts.

Please try this game it was a lot of fun!

So I have been a patreon for over a year now and I wanted to upgrade my opinion of the game to 5 Stars. This game although far from completion has had far more growth in a year than I've seen some games have in 3 years. Therefore I feel the need to give credit for the games actual growth.

Usually I dont like japanesse animation and games but this game definitely one of the top 10 of 2020. The characters are really well done in both appearances and personalities and there is a lot of content .

Awesome game. Of course the gameplay is not new, but some features make it interesting.

If you do not want to miss the most interesting events tied to the game days, then you have to do good management and really try.

It is also worth noting the excellent art, and really cool stories of some of the characters.

The game turned out great, good job.

This VN is getting more interesting and it have much content that other titles of the same genre as it updates. I enjoy the BDSM content of this game especially when it come to Sasha who can become submissive or dominant depending on your choice. The overall rating of this VN is excellent due its immersive and complex development of each characters.

This game just has tons and tons of content and more is continuously added every month. I gurantee you'll find a girl or girls that will scratch whatever itch you have. Only downside is it's a little slow to start (if not using a cheat mod) and certain girls have very limited sex scene variation. Most of that problem will eventually go away once mroe updates are released. If you are looking for a game that can take up to 20 or more hours of your time then this is your game.

Grinding and too clock work like gameplay takes lots of enjoyment out of this. It is still very good game but it has potential to be way better. Girls are unique enough for this kind of game and there is some nice voiced lines. Definetly worth a check.

Easily one of the best games on this site with a lot of content and interesting mechanics. The devs are literal legends. The story is intresting and there are a lot of possibilites.

I will definitely play it again when it is completed.

Love & Sex: Second Base is by far one of the most polished and driving games of the genre. The character portfolio is diverse, each bringing with them a unique and interesting take on some common stereotypes that are perhaps overly prevalent.

The art style. The absolute happy medium between all things desired; not too realistic, not too cartoonish or 'anime'. All of the scenes, backgrounds, and character designs fit perfectly together and hardly make you question their place.

The writing. This one I'm generally more picky on, and yet I have almost zero complaints. The wording used in the dialogue and the scripts perfectly nail down the emotions behind the characters, and their place in the game world. The graphic scenes are hot and while they tilt on the edge of being over the top, that's the point, and it fits well.

The music. I've not much to say about this other than an interesting addition, by way of the fact that I've caught myself humming the backing tracks to this game over, and over, and over.

Supporting a wide variety of kinks and other interests, this game still sits pretty close to the top in my book. I look forward to this one being finished.
