I like this chart. It really shows that it's way more profitable to cater to whales than it is to make something for everyone to enjoy.

Explains why the majority of games feel like hot trash catered to whales: they are more valuable than hundreds of players.

The code is generated on the fly and the game is required to be always online to generate said code. The only way to bypass it would be to turn the if statement that checks for valid code to always true or to skip it entirely, but the files are obfuscated to shit so I doubt anyone will bother.
