VN - Ren'Py - Lovephobia [v0.40] [Kuviragames]

Great VN! The writing is really well done and the story has branching narratives. Also the first time I've seen netorase done well and it was emotionally compelling (definitely felt bad cheating on the main LI). All the LI's though are very attractive and well written, renders are pretty high quality, and the lewd scenes are 10/10 and well paced.

The story feels more realistic than other games, but its not a slowburn and doesn't give long dialogue dumps (which is good imo). 'NTR' seems to be mostly focused on the mom and sister's individual relationships, who dont even seem to be LI's or planned LI's. That might change though.

Really hope the game continues development!

This VN wasn't what i expected. In a good way. Also it's not the average porn game nor a traditional harem game.

I'd say this is more of a soap opera rather than an adult game. Story focused VN. So expect lots of drama dealing with relationships, forming connections and people in general. Basically real life situations, challenges and dilemmas in a slice of life format. And as mentioned in my opening it's not the traditional adult game. The women around you can be currently in a relationship or have been in relationships before, hence the ntr tag and i believe this is not an ntr themed game(also mentioned in dev notes). I'm unsure if the characters who you do not engage with, will form relationships of their own but it seems likely, besides there are characters that presumedly already having an affair but not with you. So yea, some are loyal, others are unfaithful, some are one night stands, some are experienced, or you have history with, others might be your family or close friend. In other words, real people with their own life. Its up to you how you navigate through your relationships with them. You'd also have to deal with your friendships & the family as well as taking you first steps into the working world and adulthood. In essence it feels more of a coming of age story of adulthood.

There's multiple routes, they do lock you out of certain girls and scenes, at least for now. Not sure how it'll all play out later. Seems to have lots of options, like cheating, polygamy, playa bachelor, faithful monogamy etc. Definitely needs a walkthrough. That said, due to the complexity of branching paths, this becomes a concern because its a huge undertaking. Moreover this also means updates might be small and far in between as i doubt dev has the bandwidth to create content for every route for each update. Hopefully the dev is determined and committed.

Characters are beautifully written. They have their own backstory, motivations and personality. Most of the character stories are grounded in realism but a bit of drama spliced in, its a soap opera afterall. I really like the myriad of personalities in the cast and the very real relationships & friendships you forge. They have their own character stories dealing with day to day challenges, traumas and insecurities. I'm neutral when it comes to the protagonist. Certain cheating scenes make him out to be a bit of scumbag, the neutral/harem ones see him as an idiotic fratboi while the faithful route displays the more pleasant & mature side of him. Your choices determine his character to a certain extend. I'm looking forward to the different kinds and type of relationships you can have with the women.

Renders and models are absolutely stunning. Models are gorgeous, not top dollar stuff but still eye catching. Background in scenes are tasteful. Scenes have a lot of thought put into them. Storyboard feels well planned and to the point. The filter used isn't my thing but admittedly it helps give it a photorealistic and artistic look.

Very little lewd scenes for now, probably because its still early on in development and its primarily a narrative focused VN. But what is there is quite good. Most are vanilla with a little bit of kinkiness. But the affairs and infidelity are passionate and hot as it is meant to be, it's done right and arguably the highlight.

Highly recommend this. Good story if you're into drama serials & soap operas. Huge focus on interpersonal relationships. Beautiful renders is a huge plus and the lewd scenes are pretty good.

On one hand, it's a rare game trying to tackle the idea of "not every girl is a virgin for you, dumbass." On the other hand, the writing lacks the nuance to explore something like this without getting tropey or awkward.

To expand on this, let me say it like this. You know how there are those safe space harem games that goes out of its way to drive home the point that yes, yes, of course, all these girls are virgins, no other guys exist, and if they exist, it's a comic relief friend that gets no pussy except maybe the throwaway ugly girl? The ones that specifically plug in the dialogues that feel unnatural but is there to signal to the player that the girls are worthy of being in their harem?

Well, imagine the complete opposite, and that is this game. It really comes off as the dev trying to make a statement that they want to write a story that goes against that one dude's harem bible thread (which is admirable, cus that thread is hilarious). But in doing so too deliberately, it feels forced and unnatural.

Every girl is either cheating on their boyfriend/husband (with the MC and/or with someone else) or got sexually assaulted. Instead of every girl being virgins, every girl has a partner this time, and most of them have traumas that the MC has to fix. The MC is just some kid that got out of college or something? But somehow, he can work as a therapist (both physical and mental lol) without a license, which is illegal. Basically the entire game is treating various women of their traumas.

The writing veers from extremely cringey to actually decent at times. Yeah, some interactions are better than others, but in most cases, I wasn't really feeling their banter. It feels forced.

I'm being overly harsh, but I tend to be quite critical if I'm reading in non-gooning mode. This one tries to be more of a drama than a fap game, so I have a higher standard.

The game is nice, nothing exceptional but overall it's decent.


The renders look good, the models look mostly original and the story is okay. It's your typical slice-of-life game where most things that happen are at least to a certain degree logical and realistic. The main girl is likable and I liked that not everything that happens is tied together by porn logic.


The game started off promising with only a few girls that were all pretty interesting, and unpredictable character dynamics with some lingering NTR / cheating tension. Unfortunately none of these relationships are thouroughly deepened. Instead the dev keeps introducing new girls, each one less interesting than the previous one. Your best friend, who seemed to be the main girl at the start of the game, just becomes one of your casual sex buddies overnight and apparently that's it for now? NTR / cheating scenes are currently far too brief or implicit to be enjoyable.

Overall the game isn't bad. I think it's slightly better that most games in this genre. It's just starting to become a bit boring and it doesn't seem to deliver on the promise it showed after the first updates.

Very solid game, it's a fun slice of life read with some dark themes underlying it. I really like the female character models this game, however it can be inconsistent. . Decent amount of lewd scenes as well. Just inconsistencies in grammar and model quality would honestly make this a three stars. However story is actually surprising decent for what it, it has it's humourous and dark & heavy counterpart which makes it a interesting read. Most of the characters have their own personality and identity to them. Was mainly interested in the NTR content when I was looking for games to play, currently it's teasing some NTR which appears to be exciting in the future.

PROS
Its got pretty decent set-up. I didnt find myself bored and it has enough drama to draw your interest. Nothing over-the-top like supernatural shit or drug cartels like in other VNs, but the plot instead sticks to regular slice of life drama which is nice to see.

To be honest, this game feels pretty realistic compared to a lot of the other titles on this site. The girls have their own stories and it doesn't feel like their entire lives revolve around pleasing the MC. They have their own relationships and goals outside the sphere of the MC. This is very refreshing to see.

Its got a decent amount of lewd scenes for a game thats just starting.

CONS
There is a unavoidable main girl. Even if you select all the bad/negative options with her, you are still forced to be in a relationship with her. The game seems to be kinda centered around her so if you dont like her then your gonna be annoyed (I never seem to like the "main girl" cause they are always super plain or just some sort of super virgin childhood friend).

It improves later on, but there is a significant amount of basic grammatical errors and spelling mistakes in the beginning. Random words are capitalized when they shouldn't and he doesn't capitalize 'I' which should always be the case even if its mid sentence.

wow, a really promising start for the first game. The story is interesting and the dialogues are easy to read despite small spelling and grammatical errors. The consistently sex-driven behavior of some of the women in the game is less believable. Of course it's a harem/porn game, but some some scenes seemed a bit rushed or too early. 5 stars to push it

The first update was good done

• One of the strongest aspects of the game is the originality of the character designs. This level of creativity is a rarity, as 99% of games fail to deliver on this front. The distinct and fresh appearance of the characters adds an extra layer of appeal, making the game feel both unique and memorable
• The characters are all attractive, with a mix of some being hot, some being beautiful, and others having a sweet charm
• The renders in the game are quite satisfying. While they may not be exceptional, they certainly meet expectations
• The writing in the game is enjoyable
• The atmosphere is another strong point
• The music, while decent, could have been improved. Perhaps a softer, more romantic soundtrack could have enhanced the emotional depth of the scenes. Additionally, during the NTR moments, incorporating heartbeats along with a slightly darker, but not overwhelming, piece of music could elevate the tension and add another layer of immersion
  If there’s a potential weak point, it might be the appearance of the main character. While it’s fantastic that the design is original, his soft, pale skin combined with his physique gives off a vibe that feels slightly off—almost struggling to strike the balance between masculine and neutral(leans slightly towards a more feminine aesthetic). Don’t get me wrong; I’m not advocating for an overly “alpha” look, but perhaps a more balanced, average appearance would feel more fitting and relatable

Story so far seems pretty standard slice of life but I like all of the girls so far. If you are the type of person like me who doesn't like overpowered MC's and NTR as a consequence of not being smooth enough to get the ladies on merit then you would probably enjoy this VN. This types of novels are usually all the more satisfying when you have to put in the work to get the girls.

For such an early game worth 5 stars author just needs to mostly correct the grammar.
