VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Lucky Bastard [v2.0] [LLP Clerik Studio]

I wanted to like Bastard (v 7.0) but I can't say I do. First of all, the story makes little sense and it is poorly written. Most sex scenes so far seem to come out of the blue or are the result of forced plot just to add some sexual content. Choices seem to matter very little, and the game forgets past choices from time to time, making the whole "how do you run your business" idea mostly irrelevant. Characters are mostly plain and one-dimensional and plot twists are both forced and predictable.

Renders are of decent quality, but character models are very irregular, which does make some sense but ends up adding sex scenes with characters I had no interest with (and I can't avoid, since choices don't matter). Sounds are very basic, just some music sometimes. And animations are basicly missing.

All in all, a good idea with a bad execution.

I went in expecting a fap fest but was surprised by the choices. A lot of VNs provide superficial choices which do not affect more than a couple of dialogues but this one has a lot of meaningful choices. It's not groundbreaking or anything, but I was surprised by it.
The other aspects are good too but nothing standout.

this game at least 4/5 tho for me its 5/5, i dont get the low raitings, you cant find any biz type vn with this good renders and models. i can say writing is also good there is not enough deep story BUT who cares?? some guy making biz and fucking girls, most importantly this girls are wearing sexy office clothes. go play ataegina if you mindlessly and boringly wanna read the millions of meaningless text without any scene or tease. in this game on the other hand girls are speaking seductive its only shows one thing to me its writing skill! story and writing skill are 2 diffrent things and i wont expect jrr tolkien type of story with the any porn vn ever. you can see some try and how bad they are.

Bastard v6.0 review

Our protagonist is not a whiny Tenant, a College Gary Stu, or P* Landlord. He is a Bastard and being one is what makes the difference here.

The girls are diverse, and some are pretty on the level of the best girls in the genre, I'm talking about Julia and Margo.

They are not the best renders in the world, but not all devs have an Nvidia X090ti++ or multiple workstations, at least in the sex scenes where we have a large number of CGs, the developer is not lazy in this regard.

The protagonist's eyebrows are not a defect of Daz or the video card, play to find out. Don't let his appearance fool you, this Visual Novel is more elaborate than it seems in the sense of choices and routes.

About the grammar, I am an ESL and I don't mind, but the Developer can fix it in the next updates.

Most of the time the plot with some girls works fine, other times the reasons are silly or fast to my taste, but again the Developer can fix it.

Story is cookie cutter, businessman goes around trying to fuck every woman he meets while doing business things. At least MC is an actual adult and not a teenager in college, so that's a plus. Models are a bit ugly to be honest. There are some animations, but they are very janky at best. Basic audio is present (light tunes and some sound effects). Writing is pretty poor overall, it's Renglish even with randomly Russian smileys thrown in). It's not terrible, but it's also not worth a download imo. 4/10

I'll start out by saying wtf even is this, like my lord, visual novel's need story surely lol?

Story 0.5/5 Not even google maps can find the location of this story.
Now, for a game to be even at least decent, it needs to have a good story, not really even amazing. just decent. This game somehow fails to do the most basic aspect of a game. Now, I'm not asking you to write a whole massive interconnecting story, but please have at least something.
One thing that I found kind of stupid, is how there's a bit of a rape scene (Nothing wrong with that,) and then the woman just turns and falls over the mc's cock like, it makes literally no sense, it's stupid. The woman who goes in their is housekeeping we don't actually see why she came in to the room.
The "story" throughout is a literally a joke, there's no other way to describe it.

English 2/5: Typical Engrish
Another thing that may help when making a game is having it actually make sense, not just logically,(which the game has already failed on)but linguistically. This game makes literally no sense at all, the engrish is insane. Please, if there's anything for the dev to take away from this review it's that they need to proofread!

CG 3/5: Slightly above average
I've given the CG this rating mainly because I personally haven't seen the character's before, but besides that they're your average daz models.
Nothing to really write home about here.

Animations 1.5/5
Now, as we all know: For a game to be good, it needs the two foundations, it needs the floor and the pillar, the mouth and the snatch... This games fails to deliver pillar 1: Story. You'd kinda hope that from that they would then have good animations/sex scenes, right? PFFTTTT fuck off mate get out of dream world.
The animations here are the fucking worst. At first they seem to be where you need to like manually click them to make them kind of look like an animation, which just looks immensely shit, but then we do see an animation that is the typical 1-2 frames back and forth (if I remember they weren't even in a loop) . This also kinda pissed me off, out of all the scenes to be animated, the blowjob was animated, not the anal, not the normal sex, the fucking blowjob. Get your priotities in order. +0.5 for at least having an animation.

In words, I'd probably say that you're going to have a better time fapping to a Microsoft PowerPoint slideshow.

To conclude:
In its current release (6.0), Bastard is a fucking husk of a game. It somehow fails to have just one of the two foundations that make a game decent: Animations and Story.
You're 100% going to cum to a PowerPoint slideshow before you can cum to the fucking "animations" in this game.
The English is really really bad, like really bad . I will admit, there was a game not too long ago I looked at that had the worst English I'd ever seen, I'd say this game is currently in maybe 2nd - 3rd place.

Tips from an Ignorant consumer to a developer:
Hi there matey, two things,:
1) Please proofread: I really struggled to make sense of a lot that was written. If you perhaps were more thorough in your proofreading then I wouldn't have had to mention the Engrish issue.
2) Animations or story: I have done some stuff with digital art, I'm not very good I'll admit, so it's quite hard to actually animate, but I think you should maybe make the decision between (at this stage) animations and a story and then work from there.

As of V6 ... don't bother.

The game is very short, which could be a reason for itself.
Furthermore, the renders are grainy, the text is in engrish and the plot is porn-level (I saw my mom giving you a blowjob, so I wanna try that, too.).
I also think the females are mostly ugly, but that's always a matter of taste, so ymmv.

On the plus side, a few choices have reasonable impact, at the very least short term consequences, and scene-building and asset-selection appear to be solid.

Still, it'll be a while before the game has a reasonable amount of content, and it's probably unlikely what's there now is going to be revisited. MAYBE the text, but that's it. So ... yeah, as of now, don't bother.

The graphics are decent, but the writing is absolutely awful [v6.0 reviewed].

On a technical level it has sentence fragments and bad grammar, but that pales in comparison to the totally suspension-of-disbelief-shattering insanity of the characters' dialog and behavior.

Wow!!!! Just wow!! What a game!! I have played a fair share of games but trust me, this game is wonderful, outta the world. Just try it. Though I like it because the mc got to fuck margo and get a bj from hillary.

I think this game is underrated at the moment, that fact and because this game is very good makes me rate it at 5 stars.
Finally some game where the MILF is actualy looking like a MILF should.
You can romance/conquer both wife and daughter of your opponent, and that is a nice feature as opposed to the overly used 'incest' trope in (most) other games these days. There are also enough female characters to maybe build a harem in the future, though I don't know what Dev's plans are...
Renders are very good, and Dev has a steady update schedule.
There are some spelling and grammar errors, but nothing a bit of proofreading can't help make it better in coming updates.
Keep in mind this is a one man Dev team, so he deserves some credit for his work !
I recommend this game.

Underwhelming. I cant say that its the worst thing i ever saw in my life, not by a long shot.
But graphics are nothing to write home about, and when it comes to story... or plot part of the porn... meh. Story is kinda all over the place and fails to be compelling enough to even bother with it.
Power fantasy with no feel of power is my take on it.

1. Why grey eyebrows? ... that looks horrible. Yes at is referenced in the game - but it seems not to be more than just a sidenote. And then its not great to play an ugly MC just because.

2. Bugged for the get go.

The first choice doesn't work without a bug.

No matter what you pick (refuse or calling the assistant) the MC will mention that his assistant promised a surprise in the car.

And you remember the last night (not confused how the wife reacts) - when you dont answer Julia's call there should be the plausible question what happend the last night later when you call her. Not as an option in that case, but just an auto call to her.

And when you talk to Julia before you try to call Kelly you still tell her that Kelly wont talk to you.
The dialog makes no sense when you dont talk to her in the right order ...
Dont give the option for the order of the calls when there are no changes in the script.

Later in the talk with Natasha it bugs out even more and you get the dialog options of Julia ... (when you tell Natasha that she looks like a whore).

And why does the other guy about our marriage trouble when we dont know about it ourself? We only know that the wife is angry and want to divorce. But when you refuse the first call you dont know why ...

Later in the house when you listen in to the daughter and mother and then talk to the maid -after that the first dialog is repeating and you end in another loop. So again, you are forced to pick specific choices to progress.

And why doesn't answer Julia the calls even if we hide her in the bathroom and she doesnt get caught? ...

Not very promising tbh - the game seems to be broken or the dev does not care about consistency in his story.

3. Then the writing - some of the usual errors (about Tasha "...let him suck my dick"). But not that bad - you can understand what is going on... but it is quite bare bones. But the story is stupid - the dudes daughter refuses to suck her bf but is fucking the MC right away just bc her mom gave the MC a bj? ...

4. Renders are ok-ish. Lighting is flat and the girls look strange sometimes. Mouth and teeth e.g.

5. Get rid of the pointless hot spot clicking. When there is no choice and you are forced to finger her or undress her - then dont bother the player with that crap.


mediocre at best at this point, mainly because of all the broken scripts or choices that dont matter at all as it seems.

The game has a potencial of growing. The main feature of this I think is not common behavior of main character. Yes, from some perspective he reveives a woman very easly, but each time (for now) it is absolutly different ways. Several girls are your employ and you just need to show your interest in them, another girls are members of family of our partener where you alredy need to use blackmailing, peeking and etc.For now only one minus - very short time story

MC - the badass, not so old, but no young as always
F characters - varied, beautifully drawn and with own style.
The author does not have the courage to fully represent the genre, but there are original ideas.

Hot ladies and netorase or whatever fucking other dude's women is called.
The main character isn't the usual kid with a tent pole dick which is fresh too.
The only bad thing so far is how the game is just starting but it's already promising.

It's a real shame that VNs with proper dominant DILFs are so scarse. Bastard is one of those few mohicans.

Very short but promising:
The girls are pretty, so it's not a problem if the MC has strange eyebrows.
Its' pretty cool that the sex scene will change according to your decisions (ex: the maid will come to you if you're still in bed or you'll have to come to her otherwise).
I really hope we will see more of this game.

A very nice game with lots of potential to turn into a real 5 star worthy game. Best part about it? - It's a true male domination game.

There are too few games like these, and despite how rare they are most of them aren't really any good or abandoned. Dear dev, please continue working on this, I would love to see your game grow.

Now if you're wondering if you should play this right now (v0.1) - well actually, yes. You should give it a try, but keep in mind that content is very minimal. I was done in about 10 minutes, so it's pretty damn short.

So here's what you can expect from the game -

Renders 9/10 - I was thinking of giving this an 8 but to be really honest, I genuinely found them great. They're really clear and it's clear the dev's put in a lot of work into it. You can check the previews to get an idea of how they look. *Keep in mind* the MC has grey(?) eyebrows and this was on purpose. I actually like the way the MC looks, but everyone has their own preferences. The women however do look fantastic.

Story 5/10 - 5 is for neutral, because I didn't really see any story yet. You only get a couple lewd scenes but no real development story wise. Hence just a neutral score here.

Tags - 10/10 - For real, it's great to see a good male domination game coming out. The MC is quite literally a bastard who takes what he wants, so if you don't enjoy this content you probably should skip this. I, for one, am here specifically for this content, keep it up dev.

Creativity - 6/10 - It's not really a unique idea, I mean the first scene has an option where the maid walks in on you *sleeping* and sees you nude and she's then immediately wet. But I'm still giving it a 6 because the overall concept of an MC who takes what he wants is still rare to see.

English - It's both a 9/10 and a 3/10 - One of the routes has great English, another one is extremely hard to understand. It's like one writer wrote in English and another one wrote and made a rough translation.

Music - 8/10 - It has some nice music and sound effects lol.

Choices - There are choices in the game that lead to different events, try and pick the best ones cause they make a huge difference in what you see.

Overall - I recommend playing the route where you pick up the first phone call. Some routes lead to some great scenes and some lead to some very poor ones. I would love to see this game continued getting worked on, good luck dev!

2) Do try and fix the English on the route where the maid 'catches' you sleeping.
3) Let the players know that different choices lead to much different scenes - I didn't expect the choices to have such a big impact so early.
4) It appears you have a romantic route and a more dominant route, let us know which choices to make to stay the route we wanna be on.
