So its riddled with bugs that stop you from progressing at all and you have to pay to get past them/experience the game? Weak

Man, if it was one flat Early Access payment I'd get it, but paying 15 MONTHLY for Early Access to the game's slow crawl to release is entirely different.

I could pay either 15 a month for a game that releases only small additions each month, or pay half of that for direct streaming access to every Disney property under the sun.

I'd understand if the game released a larger degree of content each month, like nearly or fully completed side routes or encounters, but paying 180 bucks a year for a game that likely wont see it's ship date for twice that length is rough enough as-is. More power to patrons I guess, but the idea of a monthly sub to what is effectively early access visual novel porn just ain't that appealing.

and is the game full? meaning, imagine you download the game but there is paywalled content, and once you use your internet connection and login to your account do you need to download this content or is it hidden somwehere?
The content locked behind it and the game is not full at all. In fact, I hear that it is barely getting content.

Stable updates every month doesn't sound like "barely getting content"
I don't need to point out how incorrect that statement is when they just release the one scene that were reports of. when all u have to show are concept art, then u see why i said that. Also this isn't the only reason why I said that in the first place. U required an online connection to this game and to get to the new content, u have to pay 15 dollar per month for continue access for the content. That why I said that "barely getting content" when the price to get to the content is higher than necessity.

I can't even imagine what is that "one scene" you're talking about or "concept art". I haven't been impressed by the greed talk in the thread for a long time. After all, this is a pirate site. But this "low effort content" thing is something new.

The game turned exactly two years old in December, so we can take stock and evaluate the content at a distance. There are 70+ scenes in the game, that work out to 3 honest scenes every month. All of the scenes are unique: unique situations, unique art, unique narrative premise. There are 4 completed chapters in the game - and each one is bigger than the previous one. We added 10 named characters and none of them were added for the sake of "quantity", everyone got their own big or small story arc with a logical ending or several.

In 2021 we tried to focus on quality rather than quantity and worked on Act 4 all year. It does have fewer scenes, but more of everything else. It has more characters, more dialogues, more mechanics, more locations. The scenes themselves got bigger. We made the story more linear in Act 4, so the player will encounter more scenes in one playthrough than in previous acts.

I can barely say the game is barely getting content.

But the main Issue, Which I repeat again was the online drm that is tie to the game and which locks said content behind a 15 per month. U can't access the content if u don't pay for it. There are people who would pay for this game even though that this is a pirate site. I talking about people want to support the devs but then they see what they are doing which is why this tread is at 1 and half stars despite what u just said. I don't see the point of adding a online drm. Sure I can see a drm being to game like this but a drm that require u to be online? why

To make clear: we should remove online DRM just because you want to play for free?

Should I mention that you don't have a finished game and you don't sell a game, because no matter how much patrons will spend, they'll lose access to online stuff as soon as they stop paying $15 every month for "3 honest scenes"(more like 7 scenes in the last 4 month).

By the way, I am not saying that I want to play for free. I saying that adding a online drm that require u to be a patron at all time to access the content is a bit too much for my liking. And there are games that If I had the money, I would 100% paid for it.

well if anyone find a way to get through all those locked scenes without having to pay (not that I mind supporting games it's just that they're clearly scammers)
tbh i don't mind that as much - it's a good way for the devs to make money using patreon, and it also pretty much guarantees a new update every month, because that's the hook - newest content is available, if you donate, but the older stuff from last month is now available.

it's the other stuff with this particular title and a few others that kinda sucks -
I don't even care about a pay wall, but this always online subscription DRM is some of the most obnoxious thing I have seen in all of gaming.
this, and also that the gallery is locked until you basically play the game dozens of different ways, each month's release, to catch all the scenes since iirc saving is a paid for thing.

we're able to play it for free, now. DRM isn't exactly messing that up, in case you hadn't noticed.
it's just not the latest scenes (which i'm fine with), and i'll admit, it's a good way to ensure patreon subscripts to get the latest stuff, otherwise someone would potentially get this month's version and share it - instead, it's the one version, and patreon is DRM
but it basically means you have to pay 15 bucks a month for features most renpy games come with already...

as for 'greed talk', most porn games out there you'd spend 15 bucks and get 'the game'.
not access to like maybe 3 scenes, being able to save, skip text, and whatnot, for 'a' month.
don't get me wrong, i don't mind the patreon idea of making games, it allows far more content creators both creative freedom as well as income to be able to provide us with this stuff a little more full time, but let's be honest, it's not a thing most people want to do every month just for a game update.

imagine having to rebuy a game like i dunno candy crush every time 5 more levels are introduced, and 5 levels are introduced every month... maybe half an hour's worth of new content, basically the price of other similar games, every month. that is LITERALLY how this parteon model works. old versions becoming free doesn't really change that, if anything it's essentially bait to get you into it enough to sign up for this month's newest stuff, and later month's newest stuff.

You can access it in a month like the other players
But also there is a another issue of why the online drm is a bad thing is what if ur internet connection goes out, guess what, u can't play the new content. And plus no one want pay monthly to see what new that they added for 15 dollars. Also there are other games like this that don't force to you to play monthly for them.
