Despite its contentiousness I thought it was great. Most interesting story from this Dev. The games biggest strength is the tension and anticipation it builds as you deteriorate the situation for the characters and then paying it off. The smut is good, but its carried by a few really good scenes, while the rest are quite simple and lacking. The art works, I think, but there isnt enough variation in faces.
There is some slowness in figuring out what to do at times, and in the last act it does feel like you're just doing a then b then c with no real thought. If you arent rushing or skipping everything you wont have trouble getting through the puzzles though.

For the standards of a h-game its very solid and worth a purchase if you want something compelling and more than just porn with gameplay. Really its 4 stars but I really like this developer and add an extra star for the fact the game is finished, clearly made with passion and is a marked improvement in most areas from their previous work.

Interesting plot and good smut scenes to keep thing spicy. I sinceresly was interested in plot more that in smut, just as one other review said.

But controls are a bit janky and it will take some time to get used to them. Also game is pretty linear, you have 1 fun ending and 2 boring ones.

A game with a surprisingly large amount of lore, yet intriguing and entertaining.

I went into this game initially because of the visual quality displayed, and the scenes are really good!

But I ended more interested in the lore rather than the sex stuff.

My only complaint is that initially, the game is a little unintuitive, but after knowing what to do, it's a matter of enjoying the experience, I guess.

A solid and unique H game, 5 from me with no doubt.
That being said game has lots of small issues and lack of polish here and there.

- First of all this is pretty much a long movie with puzzle segments. There is a lot of talking between scenes, for my taste girls talk way too much than they should have (around 40% too much), sometimes it feels a bit forced with drama or lore dumps. Still game does a great job creating an interesting sci-fi world and you can tell there was put effort to merge together all ideas dev had.

- Puzzle segments sometimes were hard to figure out, some small hints here and there would help. However i wasnt stuck for too long anywhere and i liked the gameplay. If anything i think there was not enough of puzzle segments, and a bit too much of long talk scenes.

- Most scenes are a bit too slow, or could be cut a tiny amount in few places, characters also move a bit silly and unnatural, also most of girls share somewhat same model so they look very similar to themselfs. That being said i like artstyle and animations are good enough, variety is also decent although many H scenes repeat themselfs.

- I love that dank sci-fi soundtrack especially in early stages.

- Has futa, not a big fan myself of that but its just 2 scenes with one girl that are rather short.

- Game has 3 endings, i had middle one 75% and it looked like gameplay changes a lot depending what you pick which is nice. Overall i liked story, its not a masterpiece and in some places its rushed or forced, but for an H game its very good.

I was torn between a 4 and 5 star rating. I ended up going with 5 since this game is still so much better than vast majority of other h-games.

First, let me start by saying lots of negative reviews are due to this game's developer exploring a different genre, so previous fans are disappointed that he didn't cater to the genre they like which he had established himself in before. While I understand that, I still think this is unfair.

You should review a game based off how good it is, not if you like the specific genre. Like I followed a developer and they suddenly made a gay furry game, I wouldn't leave a negative review, I would just see that they made something that isn't for me and not play it.

With that said, let's get into the review.

[H-CONTENT]
Almost scenes are animated non-con, mostly with tentacles or alien humanoids. There are lot's of scenes and they are all good quality.

[GAMEPLAY]
This is a point and click 2d puzzle adventure game. The genre is called point and click, but in this game you move your cursor around with the arrow keys, making it more tedious to interact with objects than necessary.

You have a scanner which will highlight all objects that you can interact with, so you won't have to worry about spam clicking every single image on the screen like on other point and click puzzle adventure games.

The solutions to many puzzles don't really make sense. Very often, you will have to explore and just spam your scanner and interact with everything until you interact with the correct object. There are a few times where the solutions are immediately obvious, but it is rare. Never once was there an "aha" moment when I solved a puzzle. As a puzzle game, this game is not great. Luckily it is in the h-game market, so its gameplay is still much more fun compared to most other h-games out there.

In other words, the puzzle gameplay is not as terrible as some reviews make it out to be, but it is still not good. Not good at all.

Personally, I was able to quickly and painlessly progress through most parts without needing a guide. Though if you want a guide, then there is a 100% walkthrough linked on the developer's website.

[STORY]
The writing is fine. Not to sound too condescending, but most writing in h-games are complete and utter dog shit. This game's writing was passable enough for me to not skip every single cutscene, only some.

[CONCLUSION]
Not a great puzzle game, a passable story. If this was a normal game, it would completely fail. But as a h-game, this is still so much better than most other games, hence my 5 star rating.

If you utterly hate point and click puzzle games or you cannot stand the game has a male protagonist, then skip this game. But if you at least find the slower point and click puzzle gameplay tolerable, then this game is definitely worth your time.

Maybe you're like me and, as much as you loved Xenotake, you avoided playing Lunar Crisis for a while. For me, the initial bad reviews and my dislike for that ghost game made me averse to trying it.

I'm so glad I finally gave it a shot. It isn't without problems, but it's fun, engrossing, and best of all it's really sexy--when it's sexy.

Vosmug is a guy who doesn't like repeating himself. He doesn't rest on his laurels. He creates something new and interesting. While a lot of Lunar Crisis resembles Xenotake, this isn't a metroidesque run-and-rape affair. It's closer to a LucasArts point-and-click game. Except with big tiddy bimbos and horny alien men.

What first turned me off about this game and quickly grew on me is the protagonist shift. In the first game, you play the aforementioned bimbo wandering around and getting railed by fat alien cock whenever you were sloppy enough to get grabbed. Not exactly out of Aristotle's poetics, but a classic formula nonetheless. In Lunar Crisis, you're playing a male cyborg who uses his skills to manipulate events around him.

Initially, the male cyborg approach seems dull. How am I gonna get smashed by horny aliens if I'm an ugly cyborg dude? Where Vosmug gets you is, now you get to manipulate events so all this hot girls can get banged by the aliens. You bring a girl to them. You open a door that lets them get at the girls. You can watch on the cameras anytime. If you check at different times of the day, they change positions. It's really hot!

The gameplay is pretty fun too. The puzzles are not quite as complex as those old LucasArts games. Pretty straightforward and lecherous enough at times. Since some of the puzzles involve incapacitating girls to deliver them to aliens.

One of the problems in the gameplay is how extremely talky these girls are. If you like a game where attention is placed on character development, background story, some intrigue, Vosmug did good on it. The characters have distinct personalities. I feel the character development really pays off for the sex scenes, because they're not just slutty broads, they're girls you know something about. But when you're really getting in the groove after a sexy scene and then you have 30 minutes of girls talking about how annoying moon people are, you start yelling 'Shut up!' at the screen.

Overall, Lunar Crisis is a treat. I love it. I had to take a star off, but it's one I see myself replaying in the future. Just like I have to dust off Xenotake every few years.

good characters, some chatter, quarrel that i oversee on cameras is well done. none of them are dislikable, and i was cheering for them at some point.
no way to be a good guy to these characters. i did feel bad for them in second part of the game.
in the least bad ending they are gang raped by aliens at the gateway and later brought into sex slavery but in this route they 4 escape in the end. (got this ending on first play)
liked the 3d artstyle of levels, backgrounds and details.
first part of the game where i have to sneak around the ship and watch conversations on cameras was very good. second part not so much, it's mostly action.
animation and art are nice, h-events are also more tame at first part and later it's mostly rape and gangbang.
nice original soundtrack.

The story is a basic sci-fi story of an all female crew stuck with a bunch of sex crazed anthro aliens and you got to enlist their help to escape confinement

The sex scenes are good if a bit lacking in their numbers, there is a few missed opportunities there and there.

Nice artstyle and great moan work.

Luncar Crisis is an unapologetically edgy and old school side scroller.Not for everyone.

The pacing is great, with a story that makes the lewd content even better.
Most games I play to fill out the gallery, but I come back to this one to replay from the beginning over and over.

Only 4 not 5 because of a few reasons: 1-wish there was more futa
2-wish it wasn't such a slough to play/finish
3-god some of the walking and repeating sound effects gave me a headache
4-not that much content
despite all this I still have it a 4 cause in my opinion this was lowkey worth the pain, hidden gem tho I was quite patient can't expect others to be the same

I don't know what Vosmug did to gain such a loyal following, but this is really disappointing. First let me at least give praise where it's due. The cutscenes are fairly good. Pacing, lighting, camera angles all competent. A lot of them feel completely disconnected from the rest of the game though. Music is his usual lo-fi bleeps and blorps but it fits.

Controls are ass. Every action requires at least 2 inputs. The scan and the drone feel redundant and could have been combined. Constantly forced onto a linear route even for the item fetch quests. There's a lot of nonsense to excuse why doors are only unlockable when plot convenient for both the MC and crew. The slow movement and need to try and fail opening a door before you're allowed to get the right tool for it makes it especially frustrating.

Plot and gameplay don't mesh, and I'm puzzled by what kind of game Vosmug wanted to make. It's not a survival horror side scroller like his 2 previous titles. So what did we replace the combat and horror with? Stealth? There's no sense of tension you're going to get caught or if it's even possible to fail because every time you could fuck up the game puts up a big wall stopping you. Branching story? There's less player choice than a VN. A whopping 3 nearly identical endings with the same sequences of events that only differ in finding 1 text prompt and whether you skip 2 sex scenes. The "Good" 100% ending triggers are also strange because they have very little bearing on the players future actions, and how he treats the rest of the cast doesn't change in the slightest. So it's really just one of those awful pixel hunt adventure games disguised as something more substantial.

I'd be fine with all that if the main story held my attention, but it's frustratingly bad. Male MC was a weird choice particularly because you have very few sex scenes. You mainly just facilitate the aliens raping women and watch in the corner like a cuckold. Often the plot depends on you only being allowed to open doors in a specific sequence arbitrarily, and there isn't even an excuse that you need a key. There's a ticking clock plot, but it doesn't work when we have no idea what the MCs goals are, and nothing the player does changes how quickly it passes. For half the game you just have to assume your goal is to escape, and you're doing a pretty terrible job of it. There's a couple dialogue scenes between the crew and CAOS agents that gives you an idea of their personalities and some misgivings about the mission they're on, but none of it goes anywhere or reveals anything about the story. Day 4 it really falls apart as you are forced to sabotage yourself by letting both the aliens and the CAOS agents out of their rooms/cells. Earlier you get access to explosives but are only allowed to use them once, and later when you need to force another door open you need to make more explosives through a pointlessly convoluted method. Why? Because the plot required you to fail at this stage and waste more time even though you already had full control of the ship and everyone else was either incapacitated or trapped.

Vosmug has been making games for over a decade, but the writing is so cliched. From all the flavor text and the premise, you would think the game would be all about stealthily taking control of the ship and seducing/corrupting the crew, but we get NOTHING. Very first scene of the game, everyone is pointlessly catty. The naming of everything is confusing. How is a relay station orbiting Mars a Lunar station? We were just shown backgrounds of it orbiting Mars with neither moon anywhere in sight. Probably needed some exposition explaining the pecking order between Earth and Luna better. Why would guards pursue someone in a giant ass cargo vessel and why is it mainly used for prisoner transport? How many people did they send in pursuit of this one criminal who they keep saying is no threat? The xenobiology is full of contradictions. They keep saying most aliens are genetically similar to humans, but they reproduce asexually through spores. Most aren't even humanoid. So many words just to say they use human women as seedbeds as an excuse for sex with aliens. A lot more could have been done with the spores and corrupting the crew. Even for the one character that gets badly affected, there's one event and then no follow up. Everyone regularly brushes off being assaulted and gets right back up without any consequence a few hours later.

Last thing, the art. It's an easy target, and while I would expect it improved after all this time I can accept the lack of detail. What I can't forgive is how bland the designs are. The 2 humanoid aliens are as generic as it comes, and we get a couple cookie cutter bundles of tentacles. I don't even want to get into why the entire cast is caked up with torpedo tits and permanently stiff nipples. When literally everyone in a crowd has perfectly matching pushed up double Ds, it looks hilarious.

This game is very well made. A solid 8/10 for sure. The art style might not be for everyone given that it's a bit dated, but for a point and click game, it's one of the better ones. Though the gallery is a bit too detailed. Would've been just fine with the standard gallery setting.

Loved this game. It was fun solving puzzles and helping aliens fuck girls. I saw many comments on how this game was an example on why Male protagonist in games shouldn't be a thing in porn games and I think that is harsh. This game had a great story, fun gameplay and multiple endings. I also love male protagonist games, so don't listen to those nay Sayers. I will say this, though. Lots of missed opportunities in this game as a male protagonist who is evolving into an alien with tentacles and the ability to eventually fuse other alien DNA with his own to do things. For all the cool and neat tricks your character can do in the game from start to finish, the MC rarely gets any action himself. He mainly helps other aliens fuck the girls even when he becomes one of the most dangerous and gifted aliens the lore in the game has to offer. There are a few scenes mind you where he gets to fuck girls, but they are mainly towards the end of the game unless you don't mind getting the worst ending, in which case you can fuck 2 girls mid game rather than late game. It really is a missed opportunity and begs the question of why the developer had the MC be a male in the first place if he spends most of the game letting aliens fuck girls. At least as a female protagonist, the MC probably would have gotten a lot more action.

It's a fun game for a single playthrough. Probably not worth it for all endings, however. You need a guide to get the best ending as what it wants you to do for the final catalyst to get it isn't obvious even if you manage to get half of it right. All in all I am giving this game 4.5 stars. What it sets out to do I believe it accomplishes it pretty well, so the rating should tell of that.

A competent game all throughout. There is a lot of dedication from a single developer, and it shows: the story is very engaging, and makes you wonder if the protagonist really is as evil as his action make him seem (could be justisfiable by wanting to survive, and then alien DNA influence, for example).
The scenes are pretty hot, and there is an increase in quantity and quality as you play. Mostly it's rape, which in such a serious story made me a little sad. At least the numerous female characters aren't just there to take it, they plan against you (and each other), which makes for interesting adversaries.
The gameplay starts as very cyclical, but soon that day to day stability is disrupted: story wise it's great, puzzle wise I liked it a lot less,. For example the unique ability of driving a drone for subterfuge, de-evolves into something more restrictive, and then... it's lost and forgotten. Pity
Bear in mind that despite my personal critique, it's still deserves the highest score for the sheer effort that a solo dev has to output ta achieve such a project!

A walking simulator from left to right and right to left and back. Boring scenes as well. Chars are okay. Not much nsfw in the game at all. The main Char a cyborg, boring personality, helping aliens to get some human puss and the scenes are few and far between if at all.

Theres an actual game to this game, which is honestly super refreshing. Story was good, h-scenes were good to decent, but the biggest thing to me was characters had actual character and h-scenes were tailored to that. Run time is good, not too long/short. Really impressive game

Honestly, came here for some porn, stayed for plot. Really good sci-fi and i really like playing as antagonist, good game. Animation is a little dissapointing because they are nice, but most of them has no ending, like cumming and things like that, but overall stayed for plot, heh.

So finished the 75% ending (can't get it through to 100% because of this crash issue, oh well).

It was a year since I've played this game for the first time, and I really got stick in for hours, when I knew there'll be a "definitive edition", I refrained myself to replay this game until the update comes out, and well, so I did.

[GAMEPLAY]

Its a very basic gameplay there, do some puzzles to advance in the story, I honestly think sometimes the pacing are too slow for the replayability, it can be reaaaaly dragging out sometimes.

Can't complain that much since didn't got too much trouble to figure out what to do. The game is really straightforward and leaves a little room to fuck around aimlessly, but it does have some parts people can get lost (like the copper wire).

[STORY]
its been a while since I've played xenotake so can't tell how much is connected to this game except for the ending sequence. The plot itself is really okay by the porn games standards, I really do like how the situation gradualy escalate to the point of no return, its a way better comparing of those hypnosis/corruption dumb games where the main character easily manipulates the girls to get laid, this has a cleary buildup and this version made it a lot rewarding experience than the previous one. There's some plot incoerencies here and there but I think is passable for me.

v1.3 peaked a lot with that,I know it might be very subjective but i really do enjoy vos artstyle, and the handmade animations are very well crafted and you can see a lot of effort put it through, now a silly complain about this

Veredict: this is a genuine quality game out here, still has some technical problems like game crashing, bugs, etc. But you can't deny that vosmug unlike many other devs, genuinely care about his project and improved it a lot, without just abandoning while leeching their supporter's money, so yeah, this game has a lot of value behind it, and I appreciate a lot.
