You know I found a way to limit the self-voicing to mostly the dialogue and ignore other unnecessary text. I wouldn't mind hiding the message while still using the self-voicing. I'm downloading it now. Here's my script that I found to limited the self-voicing.

Just change "My Game" to the name of any game you're playing, like an example "Lust_and_Power" in every copy of the "zz-silent.rpy" file you make.

The one I pass on works with all Renpy games, no need to make any modifications. Just place it in the game file.

I think there was a misunderstanding, and I apologize if I wasn't clear. I wasn't suggesting another modification of your script that hides the self-voicing text messages you mentioned. Instead, I was offering a way to limit what the self-voicing feature reads aloud. For example, if you don't want it to read everything on the screen, like the game menu, stats (money, magic, skills, etc.), but only the dialogue in the story or character narration, this would make that possible. This is something I've been looking for because I found it frustrating that the self-voicing reads everything on the screen. I thought my file might be useful to others who also want more control over what's read aloud. Well anne O'nymous here on F95 was the one who originally made this file. Here's their thread where I originally got the file from. I just followed their instructions. By the way, I appreciate your approach to hiding the text as well. Thanks!

Yup, I have errors, crashes, missing img, lines in scripts, and now i cannot even talk to Emma without errors that kicking me out to main menu. It was always like that from 0.33 when i first played it I think but now it's just ridiculous. First meeting with blod girl (Jessica i think) and i cannot continue the game even coz it's crushing.

It sounds like you've been using an older save file from version 0.33 or earlier, before the game's rebuild started in version 0.40. Any save file from v0.37 or earlier isn't fully compatible with the rebuilt game, which could explain the issues you're experiencing, such as errors, crashes, missing images, and script glitches. I recommend starting a new game to avoid these problems. For reference, I've been using the same save file since v0.40 without many issues or crashes.

Nope that's not the issue. After my last ssd died I lost all saves from all games so I just started from the beginning, completely new game.

Yeah, for me just before a scene ends or should have started it gives error for either "switch could not choose a displayable" or missing an img. I'm not sure if cheat mode has an effect but seems like it's within the game itself.

btw, although I criticized the rework and progress speed before, new scenes seems to be better than old ones? or maybe my memory is playing tricks? New scenes seem to be more "dynamic", I remember older ones being more static.

You are missing the "custom power" folder in your "game" directory where the "dgn.rpa" file is.

*nope that's not it, I just checked it without the "custom power" folder and it still works.

Try downloading the mod again and unzip it with 7zip?

This reminds me of the time when one of the mod update was working for some users and not for others.

The only thing I can suggest is you delete the game and the system data folder to start a fresh.

1) close the game if it's running.

2) delete the v0.69 game folder from where you have it unzipped.

3) go to C:\user\{what ever your user name is on your computer}\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\

*if you can't see "appdata" folder you need to unhide system folder, You have to google how to do that as I don't know if your system is using the English version of windows. So I don't want to give confusing information.

4) delete "Lust_and_Power"

5) empty recycling bin if you didn't delete the folders using the "shift" as the folder will get sent to the recycling bin.

6) unzip the game again and run it once.

7) close the game and copy the cheat mod to the "game" folder

8) run the game and see if you get the cheat mod working.

You have to go out scavenging for resources (food, parts, battery, cleaners) and take them back to the house. Keep scavenging to unlock parts of the map. Even if a section show 100% scavenged keep scavenging close to where you want to unlock the next part of the map, as it don't unlock at a set % point.

Sit down and eat with the girls to raise their love/sub points at 08:00, 14:00 or is it 15:00? and 19:00.

Once you have enough points, they will ask you to find battery (Kelly) or cleaner (Emma). Find the items and give it to them when they are in the bedrooms. You will now have to option to corrupt them, this is how you unlock lewder and lewder scenes with them. But you need to keep adding love/sub points to continue doing more lewd stuff with them.

That's the basics of the game play, I hope you can get the cheat mod working.

It should look like this. I have both 7-Zip and WinRAR installed. To extract the files, simply open the cheat-mod.zip archive using either 7-Zip or WinRAR. Then, double-click the folder named Lust_and_Power-0.6X-cheat-modv5.2. Inside, you'll find the custom power folder and the dgn.rpa file. Just select both, then drag and drop them into the game folder. That's exactly what I did.

Apparently, you need to delete the Lust_and_Power folder from C:\Users\{your username}\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ and start fresh to get it to work like john1230 said. However, I think all you really need to do is delete the persistent file from that folder, as well as the one in the game\saves folder where you extracted the game. That should do the trick. But if I were you, I'd go ahead and do both steps just to be safe. I didn't realize I was having the same issue, but doing this fixed it for me. Lol.
