You should be able to after completing the quests with the heroines, including the night interactions. Do you have the newest version (0.1.3d)?
Yeah i do, i don't have any new events to do, can't go back to the city (says i should rest) and nothing changes.

EDIT: Ok after talking a few times and repeating events some new ones unlocked

I'm glad it worked! Will take a look to make sure what you need to do after city return is clearer.

This is very minor, love the game so far but I think it'd be pretty neat if the weapon you chose at the start affected your combat style

I'm glad you've been loving it so far!
The weapon you choose changes a card in your deck:

Katana - Iaido Slash: Deal 6 damage. If this is the first card played this turn, gain +3 shield and apply Weaken (1 turn).
Axe - Crushing Blow: Deal 9 damage. If the enemy is Weakened or Slowed, deal +3 additional damage.
Daggers - Flurry Jab: Deal 3 damage three times. Applies 1 stack of Bleed (1 turn).
Hoe - Backbreaking Effort: Deal 5 damage. Gain 5 shield. If you have less HP than the enemy, heal 3 HP.
Unarmed - Fist of Resolve: Deal 4 damage. Gain 1 Energy next turn if this is the only Attack played this turn.

We should probably show the card on screen so the player has that information before committing to the choice. I'll bring it up during the next meeting! Thank you!

You can also get cards from the City Shop (including the other weapon cards) after unlocking deck building.

Does anyone, or the developers, have a save file for the latest version? I formatted my PC because of Windows 11 and forgot to save my game data.

Damn, all my current saves are from test builds, so they are not compatible with previous or future versions :cry:
I'll talk to the team about starting from a specific checkpoint but that probably won't be implemented until chapter 2

No problem, man, I'm just going to take the longer route and play again until I get to where I was. I love this game so much, so it won't be boring at all.

Regarding nicknames, the one you can give Akali as the void's favourite toy or smt like that, does that imply that Akali will get a scene with voidborn creatures and we're mocking her for that? Or is it something that already exists when you fail combat (i've only played once through the content and wasn't defeated with any companions by my side)?

If there is no consecuence to losing in combat against the voidborn with companions, may i suggest a sort of kidnap like what happened to rakan? Only we get some timer in days and we have to delve to a certain depth to rescue our companion, which may or may not be used by the voidborn, depending on how long we take to rescue them (maybe even being dragged to the void if we take too long thus a game over screen?).

I feel it would fit with the present story of void inducing corruption and serve to amp the stakes of combat. Tho this is just a suggestion and if it doesnt fit with your current idea for the story then dont feel forced to implement any of it

Been a while since I checked in here, and thankfully hockey season has been distracting me as of late. I'm sure the crew has been at work on the next update and I am patiently anticipating it's release. I also want to give a massive thanks that the devs go the extra mile to make hand-drawn CGs instead of going the A.I. route(as far as I know)

Sorry! Hard at work on the upcoming update!

Nice suggestion! Right now, the nickname doesn’t reference an existing scene. The losing paths for most combats aren’t that developed yet... but we definitely want to tackle it soon. Our plan is to make losing (especially with a companion present) feel more relevant—including things like skits, corruption exposure, and other consequences. There’s a lot we want to do with combat overall, but before we dive again into that side of things, we’re focusing on laying down the base for other systems first (outfits, gifting, etc.)

We do have plans for an optional scene that explores corruption taking a more physical aspect and making it play with Akali for a bit, but I don't want to share more until the whole team is on board.
