Probably an odd thing to ask, but are there plans to add a difficulty setting to the game? I unironically feel like the card system is well balanced and fun, (I know it's derivative element of the game, but what you guys have created so far could be a game on it's own), but currently every fight pretty much can be beaten by just playing any card while maximizing mana. It may seem odd, but when I got to the deck customization part, I genuinely got excited. I think it would be super cool to make a hard mode or challenges with little rewards if you min max your deck and make actual builds for each event, or even an optional tournament event for rewards would be cool. Or story events where you build a team deck and can mix and match cards from various character for a fight!
Side question. Am I locking myself from content for ignoring Isane's propositions? I can't really get a read if this game is a "your choices can lock you out of seeing things, pick your waifus and suck it up snowflake", "your choices don't really matter, we will give you all the good stuff either way", or a "we will give you everything but if you picked this route we will give you it with a different text and story progression" sort of game. I chose to ignore Isane as she seems blatantly bad and I don't think she's waifu enough to drop my nice guy arc for... but if Lux asked me to put my hand in a blender... I might hit a moral crossroads. I have limited LoL experience so I am assuming most people shy away from Isane's temptations, but I could be wrong if she's secretly a main character from lore that I don't know about.
I'm glad you asked! Rather than difficulty settings, our plan is to introduce optional challenging battles as side content. We’ve talked about adding an arena-like location in a future update, and I personally want to add some superboss-style encounters across the regions.
These challenges won't be required to finish the main story, but they'll give players something fun (I hope) to do combat-wise. Rewards we're considering include new cards, essence, and other funny things.
Sadly, we do have to be efficient with our development hours, so this might take a while. Hopefully support keeps growing so we can implement them faster
P.S. Almost forgot to mention, we're also considering enemies that will "counter" certain deck archetypes. For example, Bleed might be a strong strategy throughout the game—until you face an enemy that deals more damage under Bleed.
As for your story question. Most main heroine content follows the "you get the CG, but the text/expression/mood changes based on your choices" design. For example, the Irelia handjob scene shifts depending on how much of a jerk the MC has been, her attitude being a "I'm only doing this because I promised" vs a more "this is a thank-you". This does have an impact on their overall impression of the MC and changes their dialogue throughout the game and whether they will consider being in a relationship with him (or not).
However, other choices—like the Isane's deal—do have more tangible consequences. They can lock you out of certain scenes and change how future events in the chapter unfold, similar to how Councilor's Hana fate will have an impact moving forward.
That said... we do plan to add a Gallery at the end of each chapter that shows all CGs, including those from routes you didn't pick. So you won't permanently miss visual content or be forced into replaying the game trying to find the missing CG.
