Hi Dev! I appreciate your thorough response to my feedback.
To expand a little bit, I think the tonal shift from having to confirm 3x to leave the village (emphasizing that you should get everything done), to a time-gated deluge of quests was very jarring for me.
I would suggest that during the timed sections only the 2 quests be available - and whether or not counselor Hana dies should be contingent on successful dialogue or minigame completion. Then you can add in the additional non-time sensitive quests.
Either way, I think you have a real winner on your hands, and I appreciate you being so active on a game piracy forum.
Thank you for expanding on the issue!
I get what you mean—it is jarring to go from heavily emphasizing completion and double-checking before leaving Tsumei, straight into the city section with a lot of quests and no clear indication that some of them are time-based. Especially since up to that point there haven’t been any timed quests at all...
Your suggestion is a solid one. The main reason we can't reduce the number of available quests in the city is that both how many you do and how you complete them are deeply tied to the Council's overall opinion of the MC. Changing that would take a lot of time from developing the next update
That said, do you think the experince would be better if we:
1. Added a small tutorial-like message when timed quests are introduced (ans stating that it doesn't lead to a failed state).
2. Make the Knife in the Dark quest,
the one that defines if Councilor Hana dies, more front and center.
And thank you again, really. This kind of feedback helps us polish the game so it's a better experience overall. I’m very much the kind of dev who likes staying in contact with the community (even on a piracy forum). Hopefully it makes people want to support the project a bit more or at least recommend it
