DEVS UPDATES

***UPDATE 01/31/2024

2025-01-31-whats-coming-up-in-the-release--promo-card.png

I'm here to show you a little bit of how the finished DEMO is. In this PATREON post, I linked some videos showing a little bit of each scene, the gameplay of DEMO 0.01.1 and how the game's SFX are. For more details, see my post on the PATREON page (It's free, don't worry).

There is also another post, which is not very different from the update I made in the FIRST POST OF THE THREAD. It is just some comments from me about the production process (and in the future we will have a post about the complete process on PATREON... wait until after the game is released).

There will be a part two of this first mentioned post. It will be posted tomorrow. This was the DEV's UPDATE from January 31st. CYA.

Well, I'll just copy what I put in the patreon post here, given the situation.
DEMO 0.01.1 Release Advance and HUGE PROBLEM: My PC broke.

Well, I don't even know what to say. I was excited for the project, but for some reason, my PC just isn't showing any screen.

It all started with a problem connecting the headset. When I tried to disconnect and reconnect it, the PC froze. I restarted it, but there was simply no screen. The mouse and keyboard turned on, the lights on the case blinked, but no screen.

I took it to a technician, but depending on the damage, it's very likely that I won't be able to replace the parts for now. That's why I'm here saying this.

The launch of the game's DEMO is not compromised in any way, after all the DEMO file has already been exported and saved in the cloud.

But the continuity of the project, as it is, may be compromised. That's why I need your help. I would like to ask you to choose EVEN THE CHEAPEST PLAN, to help me fix the problem that occurred on my PC. Precisely because of this problem, I AM MOVING UP THE LAUNCH OF THE DEMO TODAY. You can download it here in this post.

I plan to post it on Itch.io as well. For now, I'm making it available here for you to download, play and evaluate the production.

If you like the game, I ASK YOU TO CHOOSE A SUBSCRIPTION PLAN, I promise that I will reward each and every subscriber who does so for now. The future of this project will depend on each and every one of you from now on. That's It.

I did you guys a favor. I checked the download files and they seem to be fine. So it's safe to download them.

I think my PC's problem is related to overheating. It was getting very hot during the day, and that may have compromised something. I hope you enjoy the DEMO. Coming soon to Itch.io.

I am here to provide the download link for Itch.io. Just like the Google Drive links, all versions are available for multiple devices.

I'm still thinking about what to do in the future. I'm considering continuing development on Godot Engine, since the only production tool that still works is my smartphone.

I will soon be posting a resolution regarding my PC, since I will have to wait another 3-4 days to know how I should proceed. Stay tuned to the Twitter and PATREON pages. See you soon.

Hey, congrats on the demo!
I really liked how the story progresses with Karen. She's a pretty atypical character for h-games, so I'm excited to see what updates are coming

A few tips to improve your game:
1) Make all the sound effects and music the same volume.
2) Add an option to hide the text box.
3) Would it be better to use 1920x1080 resolution?

3) Would it be better to use 1920x1080 resolution?
1) The problem with some of the sound effects I used is that I edited them in Audacity to combine more than two effects, and I kind of went too heavy on the amplifiers. I plan to fix that in the future. (hehe)
2) I even thought about using a plugin that edits the default keyboard commands of RPG Maker MV, but I wanted to keep the demo as simple as possible. This will be noted and will be in my plans for correction.
3) I don't know if it's a plugin or a bug, but the map textures are glitching
in Full HD. That's why I chose Standard HD.

Well, since I don't know what the future holds for the RPG Maker Engine project (it will all depend on what the technician says about my PC), I'm thinking about migrating the project to Godot Engine, which I can work on on my smartphone. For the art, I just need to get a USB adapter so I can connect my tablet and draw on my phone, and the posing software on my phone is better than the one on my PC.

Thank you very much for the comment.

Super happy for your release, I've been lurking here for a while and saw you regularly talk about your development and your learning journey with RPGM. I hope you continue being this consistent, in the future I'll support.

It's been a tough journey, but I'm just getting started. Not even a "broken PC" will stop me now. And I remember you, you were one of the first to comment here on this thread. I'm very grateful for your attention.
