the game was removed for review because of it's adult nature a while ago, i'm assuming it might be down permanently now though
And just to add to this there are many payment processors putting pressure and threatening to ban these companies from using the payment method for having adult content - while still allowing only fans...

"The Blindfold Taste Test was more than a game; it a subtle exploration of the complex web of feelings that exists between them."

I too enjoy getting hit in the head with bricks.

The premise is interesting. The plot, pacing, and tone are all pretty good. The prose... needs some work.

I discovered the genre of VNs not that long ago and wasn't really into it at first, but now it's growing on me.
This game is beautiful, but the feeling I get is super uneasy. Maybe it's because of the music or the fever dream style story, or the loneliness I get. Feels like one of these stories where one of the characters has long been dead or will die soon and all that like in Bridge to Terabithia. I really don't want it to go there. I will enjoy it anyways, but it will be painful if it actually is what you're planning in the future.

Fairly certain (but not 100%) I recall the author saying in Discord that there won't be that kind of ending but I completely agree with you on getting that kind of feeling. I honestly would really enjoy it if that was the case because, while that kind of writing is played out a bit, it is also a good way to get an emotional response from the player and I'm all for games that pull on my heartstrings.

There is definitely an unsettling aura that I think would not be there if played with all sounds turned off. Whether it has to do with the sounds that are there or something about the ambient sounds that should-be-but-aren't, something definitely feels uneasy for me as well.

There's a feeling of nostalgia with a bit sadness and a tinge of longing. Something supernatural is definitely going on. Whether the siblings live in a magical forest or a supernatural force has entered their lives. Maybe the bond between them is special and some impulse has caused it's special properties to emerge.

You forgot about the soupçon of loneliness. :p
Yeah. Though I'd argue that it's more isolation than loneliness. Like they are living in a "bubble" or like the elves in Lord of the rings in a "magical" forest separated from the rest of the world even if the town isn't far from their house. Because neither the mc nor his sister are alone and they have a close relationship. There is even a word for a similar situation " folie à deux " and maybe that's what's going on. It's all in their heads.

Last post was 4 days ago, last devlog looks to be about 2 months ago. Last devlog before that was 2 months prior, then once each month before that. So either devlog soon, update soon, or dude is burning out or losing track of the scope of each chapter.

yeah the original release date was supposed to be end of august/early september. Update is way late and the devlogs don't say much either. I cancelled my sub after 2 months because it felt like wasted money when the release schedule is so slow. Definitely feels like something is off there so I agree with your sentiment.
