I decided to check this one out because I was curious how similar it would be to Naughty Pirates - after all, the name is synonymous (Lusty - Naughty, Buccaneers - Pirates).
So, here are my observations:
-Both use AI art (though this one has a bit of a different art style - character sprites have more exaggerated proportions and backgrounds look more stylised with less inconsistencies).
-Code has its similarities and differences - both games have a similar goal which results in similar code, though this game organizes files and code differently. As an example of a difference, this game features no trust stat, but more player stats such as charisma and strength (which seem to have no effect in 0.1)
-This game's UI has differences - the inventory is a lot neater in presentation, for example. 0.1 does not feature achievements or quests. I like the girls stats as wanted posters, though it doesn't leave room for additional information.
-Writing is similar but different - same simple approach to writing the characters that feels vaguely like the originals but with a porn parody twist.
-Game structure is very similar. The basic premise is the same - you're a new pirate who somehow got three One Piece girls on his crew from the start, and now you just increase their stats until they are comfortable with your requests. Main differences are that Nami's prices are way cheaper, show underwear is the step after show bra instead of haphazardly replacing it, there is no real progression of the quests in 0.1 (you always have to give the same excuses), and love/lust points are harder to gain, there are more ways to lose them, and there are bigger gaps between lewd request requirements.
-Patreon has a similar setup: url is the game name, username is the dev name, similar tier and reward system. Though not a big deal since several AI games have used this format, thought it was worth mentioning.
-0.1 has Nami, Robin, and Yamato, the third of which is not in Naughty Pirates as of 0.14, though has a chance of being the next girl since Wano was added as a location. It has less content overall, but technically more content than NP did in its first release. This game has potential, so I will be watching its development, but I think for now I will not be modding this game as I have for Naughty Pirates. I wish the dev luck and since they are even posting here I would like to ask if they are familiar with the other One Piece games and if they have a favourite project (besides their own).
