I update the game every 15 days and you want 10 animations per version? I’m honestly surprised by how some people think making a game is that easy. What’s worse is that they talk without ever having made a game themselves.

If game development could be sped up just by throwing money at it, anyone with a lot of money would make a game in a single day. Your comment is absurd. I assume you only care about money, and that’s why you measure everything by that standard. I only care about making a good game at my own pace, and that doesn’t just involve programming and animations. Creating a game involves many more tasks that I work on almost every day of the year. I spend time constantly improving processes, replying to people, setting up polls, looking for sponsors, developing dialogue and stories, fixing bugs or issues, creating translations, among many other tasks you probably don’t even imagine. My game is played by millions of players around the world, on multiple platforms, and that’s why I earn what I earn. If you think it’s not proportional to all my work, I challenge you to do it yourself and surpass me.
Please, my friend, your game isn't from Honey Select or DaZ; your game is AI-generated graphics. Don't come here saying this is difficult. I'd believe you if you made your game yourself, but this is just AI. Stop fooling yourself.

At no point did I compare myself or my work to games like Honey Select or DaZ. Games at that level are usually made by teams of several people, organized in a completely different way, and with many more years of development behind them. I work alone, and Lusty Buccaneers is a relatively new game. Even so, I release new content every fifteen days, which very few developers do, even those using AI.
And once again, you assume that making a game—or even creating images or animations with AI—is easy, when you’ve never done it yourself. Most importantly, making a game is much more than just that.

If you truly believe it’s that easy and that I’m earning too much, then feel free to stop what you’re doing and make your own game. I don’t think it’s necessary to continue this discussion. Best regards.

And because there are many AI games on this site that offer updates with many more animations, and you only offer one crappy animation per update despite earning more than most developers here, I'm not saying that the money you earn should be used to make your games, but you should offer better content for the people who are paying. Making games with AI is the easiest way to make games these days since the computer generates them for you; there's no design that you've worked on yourself. You just can't admit that you're milking the game and your followers.

I'm didn't want to take sides in this dispute but i believe you are being a bit unreasonable yea i also wish the content could be increased a bit more i agree but i don't complain here because of the consistency and small update window. there is no other game (ai or not) here that push update every 15 days or so. yea making ai games are relatable easy but still there are a lot of other things to do other than rendering. And Finally as the dev also said you are more than welcome to make a better game if u think this is not gud enough for you!

Ahoy Buccaneers!

In v0.40, the moment many of you have been waiting for finally arrives: the grand finale against Diamante… but before that, you will get a surprise. ⚔

Training with Rayleigh pays off and you will unlock a very powerful new technique
that marks a turning point in combat.

And to wrap things up, a brand new fully animated Perona event is being added. After her rework, the Ghost Princess needed a new event worthy of her level!

At the request of many of you, I adjusted the HP and SP bars in combat. They now go up and down faster, so fights feel more agile with less waiting.

v0.40 for Patreons, and the public v0.39 release, are scheduled to launch on Friday, January 16, if everything goes according to plan.

I also want to share an important announcement: v0.40 will be the last version until mid February.
I am going to use this time to reorganize, optimize processes, and learn new tools that will let me improve development in the long run. The biweekly pace leaves little room for this kind of deeper improvement, and I would rather use these days to strengthen everything that comes next. This also means that v0.40 will only reach the general public in February. I truly hope you enjoy this update and everything it brings.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for pushing this ship forward. We are now more than 50,000 buccaneers following this adventure! None of this journey would be possible without your support, messages, and constant enthusiasm ‍☠

Kampai!

In v0.39, the grand final of the tournament is approaching, and we’re kicking off the new year with a brand-new fully animated event featuring our beautiful Gladiator

Also, the winner of the last poll returns with a fresh new look: Perona rework and an update to her “shows” aboard the ship.

The Corrida Coliseum is coming to an end, and this time we’ll have to face one last rival before the grand final against the hero of the coliseum, Diamante of the Don Flamingo family!

Before this fight, we’ll be able to have a talk with Rebecca, letting us enjoy the first lewd event with our beautiful Gladiator

Meanwhile, on our pirate ship, you’ll be able to see and enjoy Perona’s rework, the theme that won the last poll and that many of you were really looking forward to!

Along with her appearance, her expressions were reworked and all her dialogues in the ship shows were updated.
This is just the beginning, since her rework opens the door to bringing you much more and better new content with our ghost princess. I hope you enjoy it. I’ll be reading your opinions and suggestions in the comments!

In v0.40, the moment many of you have been waiting for finally arrives: the big final battle against Diamond is now available! ⚔ A new boss fight, with new music, abilities, and visuals, will be waiting for you. On the other hand, as a result of our hard training, the protagonist will finally awaken a new ability that can be used in combat and will mark a point of no return in battles. Last but not least, a new fully animated lewd event with our beautiful Perona will be available!

Thank you all so much for helping the game continue to grow! Leave your likes and comments!

Until next time!

Kampai!

As someone that did use AI like Automatic1111 and did and does work with several Engine, and did create games in the past (and tbh, Renpy is so easy to use you couldnt even say its coding anymore) - it is easy af. Especially, its easy to recreate your game. In weeks, maybe 3-4 Months. This game is out since what? 2024?

Edit: Like, i mean, you barely know the fundamentals of Game-Development. You literally are not able to make a Questsystem. Which is GamDev101. And i dont even understand why, are you bad at game design? Cant you ask ChatGPT or Gemini like "Hey, make a Questsystem for a Renpy game, which i can easily implement" - i dont think the stuff missing in this "Game" is a design decision. And if it is.... duh.
