okay, with the name mad island i was thinking to a kind of "everything possible" dlc, like full dystopian setting where the illusion of the morality of our society is completly gone....
But yeah loli are kinda a start....
Mad Island is the kind of game where you can cut off dicks of your enemies, put them in a pot and use that as decoration.
You can also build walls out of people, recruit werewolves to guard the entrances, and make your 0-year-old children work in the mines.
There is one poster here who recommends turning your village into a constant all-out brawl to make your villagers stronger.

Or you can play as a relatively sane person. The choice is yours.

Either way, there are two layers of censorship in the Steam version: mosaics (removed by none.bat, included in this forum's version), and little people (loli, shota and a fairy, which are added by DLC). Rape, cannibalism and making tables out of people are not censored at all, which makes one feel philosophical about modern society.

I just try the game, it's focus on the 2 protagonist? fuck or get fucked?
This is a survival-themed game like "Arc: Survival Evolved", "Palworld" or "Don't Starve". Most of the time, you'll be traveling alone or with a 1-2 companions who are less than useful in battle. Because battles rely on timely dodging or blocking, and NPCs don't do that.
Go boldly where no sane man has gone before, fight men and monsters, take their stuff, and take their women too. Try to craft something useful out of what you got, so that you will become even better at exploring and fighting. And don't worry, anything you do, becomes RPG-like experience, so that you will have an easier time fighting.

I think is that, it's funny when it come about computer and web stuff people always assume everyone know everything and overcomplicated the thing
Some things are deliberately overcomplicated, to ensure government bureaucrats and capitalist lawyers can't get to us. This game's DLC is one such thing.
Either way, John's reply was to the point - there are actually 2 versions of DLC file. One of which is a proper zip archive, while the other pretends to be a zip archive, but actually isn't.

I seem to have encountered a rather nasty bug... the buttons that allow me to move/remove placed objects no longer appear. At all. It persists across saves and after quitting/re-launching the game.
Anyone else encountered this and has a potential fix?

Unsure how you managed to do that
Only encountered that before I think from the command which spawns all those displays of bodyparts I think and since I didn't wanna bother with attempting to remove those somehow as I used the command straight up in my village to test what it does and seeing I can't move/remove them (IIRC), i just loaded a save.
So sadly, I don't have a solution.
I'd be curious what you might've done to achieve this though, any idea?

I fixed it, it was a motherfucking resolution issue. Because, of course it was.
I have an ultra-wide monitor. Fucking Unity auto-sets the game resolution on relaunching it to the ultra-wide res, which fucks up the game's UI in various ways, like hiding the aforementioned buttons.
Manually setting the game to 1920x1080 fixes the issue.

wierd thing when i look at the workbench it doesnt show anything
Doesn't require any unlocks at all, so it should be available straight up.
Just to ensure, you know you can scroll down in the crafting list? (Both scrolling, as well as click and dragging (in between icons))
Also don't forget clicking the hammer icon in the bottom left when interacting with the workbench!

After the spider, there should be a chest that unlocks spider-style crafting. "Spider storage" is the most useful part of it.
Anyway, there should be a "spider workbench" on one of your workbenches, and it has a new set of craftables.

I know it's tough guys, but if you want to hang out here and not miss out on stuff, you'll have to actually learn to figure some shit out on your own. Is it that hard to think "Hmm, if I'm having trouble with this, maybe somebody else had trouble with it in the last 393 pages and already asked this question"? Use the search function, look at guides, nobody wants to answer the same question a hundred times. We're patient enough to help out once in a while or if people have already tried basic shit and failed, but a lot of people expect to be spoon fed here like little babies constantly, it gets old. Feel free to search how many times somebody has asked about the dlc content here. There's 20 pages of results, almost all of them saying the same stuff, lol.

Do you really want to be the type of person who can't even figure out simple shit yourself?
