I think most people are understanding. I mean, look at the reviews--most of them are already positive.It's not a matter of taste. I think that these decisions to release everything in bulk, even if it's half-finished, wear down people's patience.
Happy people leave more positive reviews, and that's better for the sale of your product, that's all.
One advantage about the way they're doing this is that you get frequent updates, which shows players that the game is actively being developed. It's a nice change from most other games where it can be months if not years before you see any progress and you're often left wondering if the dev gave up. Here at least we know he hasn't
