They go away if you reload, they seem to despawn after a while if you drop them in the sea. You can make a flesh eater out of the meat bench to remove bodies too.

You need old man native first. Talk to him and craft abortion potions with red herb and spoiled meat. Then find a native girl, impregnate her. bone fire has recipe for increased pregnancy chance, hardest item to find is soy bean powder. Impregnate the native women and give them abortion potions(right click on the potion when you are talking to them). You will acquire life orb. Next go to a small lake, start fishing, you need like 12 gold fish to make old man and old lady young again. After fishing go to old man and craft rejevunation potion, but dont use those yet. Find the furry trader and trade her life orbs and rejevunation potions for superior version.
You need something like 12 potions for both old natives. After you feed them the potion smoke will start to come out from their bodies and they will transform. Old dude crafts the cheapest and strongest weapon in game(1 iron bar 1 sap 400 durability high damage axe), old lady crafts unique cloths.

Probably asset compression. Saves space and (presumably) speeds up load.

I have a suspicion there is used lzma algorithm. It cannot load only required parts of asset file, needs to decode full file. Hence I think lz4 is superior.
