I don't mean to sound rude but I never claimed that specific executable is a malicious software at all, nor did I ever mention that program in the post.
I even wrote that there aren't any unusual executables right above that picture.
It's simply part of the screenshot which shows Mad Island and the UnityCrashHandler. The light blue color is a default highlight for immersive processes in the SysInternals toolset.

Oh, sorry, my bad — I’ve just never used this program before.

Don't worry about it.
I actually recommend the SysInternals toolset to an extreme degree if someone uses Windows.
It's one of the best set of programs to manually check for viruses, spyware and anything of the sort. Mostly "ProcessExplorer" and "Autoruns". It's also official and was made by Microsoft so they aren't even third-party programs.

update v0.4.4.3 [beta]
We identified a critical bug and have released an urgent hotfix.

■ Fixes & Adjustments

Fixed an issue where apparel visuals were not applied on load for NPCs with no equipment.

Fixed a bug where swapping gear in the Apparel system could fail to save data correctly.

Fixed an issue where allied NPCs’ enemy detection was being blocked by the Reaper’s aura effect.

Adjusted the floating position when equipping “Wisp.”

Fixed an issue where allied NPCs’ animation speed sometimes didn’t return to normal after a raid.

Fixed a bug where playtime in save data would stop counting beyond a certain duration.

Adjusted so the Ent Queen can equip items that are available to all characters.

Fixed a bug where NPC stats calculated from the map level were not computed correctly at spawn.
Update v0.4.4.3 [Beta] Fixes and adjustments. I haven't tried this version yet. Has anyone tried it? Does it work well?

A question, in version v0.4.4.2, is it now possible to have two of the same main NPCs in the same game, one as a slave and the other as a companion?
I have slave dupes of all the NPCs that can have a slave version, but you do need to cheat to get them.

Man, this game could really use a time skip or rather sleeping mechanic and a whole UI rework godamn
I'm a bit confused about the "sleeping mechanic" part of this comment, since the MC can sleep and even recovers HP while he does so?

I already made the text with none bat and it doesn't work
guys i try to use the file method for uncesored my game but i was not able someone can do it for me? thankss
Keep in mind, the none.bat file needs to be empty and should be placed in the same folder as the game's exe file.

I downloaded the new (0.4.4.2) version from the GoFile link and it does not contain any files named "none" with either a .bat or .exe extention.
If the file doesn't exist, you can just go to the main game folder, create an empty text file and name it none.bat. Just make sure to leave the contents empty, and you should be good to go.

This is the download that had the none.bat that isnt 0b. It can be found where the saves are
Well, that's not the right folder anyway. I'd just ignore that and create an empty file in the games folder as described above.

Well that's extremely spooky.
I downloaded the new (0.4.4.2) version from the GoFile link and it does not contain any files named "none" with either a .bat or .exe extention.

The checksums for the zip from the GoFile is:
SHA1: 8de7f993deace97f59438cbd156b987a3f0908d2
SHA256: 55ae7cfd85e903693ce8c3f0f1c31d277fd108dce5402fc22216f70b1266e067

I've also checked all processes while the game is running and I didn't detect any unusual executables running during or after playtime.

I don't mean to jump to conclusions this soon, but this definitely sounds like malware.
Where did you download your version from? Can you share the checksums for your zip file?
In any case, stay safe out there.

Edit: I completely forgot about the uncensor method that uses a "none.bat" convention, my bad. I made a brief check on the 0.34 version which does contain this file for uncensor purposes. According to the uncensor post on reddit, it should be identical to your "UnityPlayer.dll" file, except for its name and extension. However, the file should be in .bat and not in .exe as you described, so my suspicion about your version being actively malicious still stands.

no not the extension, extension is easy, you can rename it. the name is still none.bat. but it's not 0 byte it's around 1.4MB and if you open in file viewer that support binary/hex you will know the file is an exe (not the extension is exe) the file itself still named "none.bat"

i don't remember which version that gave me that sus none.bat, but yeah i checked the lastest one again the none.bat is empty this time, my advice is to other people, check your none.bat, if it's not 0 byte, delete it create new one, as long as the real file is an exe no matter if it renamed to .JPG and have actual picture header as cover, if the game engine like unity are commanded to check the file, it can run as exe and worse since antivirus will think it's just the game's calling dll so any payload inside that thing will run bypassing everything.

it's not the developer obviously it's someone who know the developer's uncensor method and exploit that by creating a trap called "none.bat" (not astolfo kind of trap)

edit: oh someone above found the source link that have none.bat that is not 0 byte, yeah i remember downloading it from mega, maybe that one is the one infected?

Thats not sleeping thats laying down. Sleeping is going to sleep in the night and waking up in the morning
That's splitting hair, but okay. But here's my question then: why do you need sleep at all? Just for realism?

Because, I mean, this game is far from realistic--see how no one can really die.

In most games, sleep is just a means to get you to recover HP, which you get here just by "lying down."

So I'm not sure what more you expect from sleeping?

Genuinely curious.

PS. And yeah, ciphertul's right, the feature is already there. I'd forgotten about that. Been a while since I've played. And I never used it much anyway.

Ooh, my bad then. When you wrote "not an empty file but an exe" I thought that the file is "none.bat.exe" as it tries to masquerade as a .bat but in reality it's a .exe with a different code.

If we follow the reddit thread about the uncesor procedure, you will need a "none.bat" that should be the copy of "UnityPlayer.dll" but with its extension and name changed to the none.bat.
Since your none.bat is 1.4MB and UnityPlayer.dll is 20MB+, it's not impossible that someone edited the code maliciously.
After a quick check, the stable v0.34 from the PixelDrain link (for example) does have the none.bat with 1.4MB of code, so it may have been the version you referred to.

Nice catch in any case. I also recommend others to check their save folders for possibly bad files.
