Didn't you put your excavation site on tope of green terrain on your screen? (I thought it had to be mud only for mandrakes)

Well I guess I should have explain it more clearly & my mistake on it...then again it's 3~5am brain working here

I would assume you're not colorblind, because you need to tell different shade of greens here.
There are THREE terrain textures here.
1 being Grass terrain, 1 being Mushroom forest Grass/Mossy terrain and 1 being the Mud terrain

You put the excavation site on top of the "Grass Terrain" texture, you'll not be getting any Mandrake on it
You put the excavation site on top of the "Mushroom forest Grass/Mossy terrain" and the "Mud terrain", you'll get the Mandrake drops, both works.

As long as it's in the Mushroom Forest region + the Boss area, getting Mandrake from the excavation site will only be a time problem.


Now, how about Mud terrain outside of the Mushroom forest?
Like in the dump where after Male MC & Yona got raped will be dump at?
IDK, so far only Clay were scooped up, if someone want to test on it, feel free.

I just caught 2 natives who have opposite personalities and they started hating each other at like -120 and the male's morale is at -80 while the female's is at +50 but nothing happens they are in a house of leaves is that the problem? maybe they need a bed?

I always wondered that too... Played it for 36 hours without any sex scenes at all before I made a mod to boost chances... They still don't work... The game has many artificial limitations...

This is better than "Don't Starve"! At least here you don't have to worry about dying every five seconds. Not to mention, it doesn't reset when you die, making it impossible to pick up where you left off.

"Don't Starve" was annoying as hell for me. Loved the concept, but ugh, too damn frustrating.

The NPCs with the best "Faint Damage"...
The best answer has been said, Corrupted Lizard and here's why...
Note: The following images, the numbers has been effected by "Meal Effectiveness", adding +200 faint damage to their original faint damage

They do "Range" Faint Damage that scales with their Strength Stats

Lv.0 does 28 faint damage compare to Lv.116 does 51 faint damage (you got to -200 here due to the meal effectiveness buff)

Pros :
1. Their faint damage scales with their strength level
2. They themselves are the Weapon, no need to give them other weapons

Cons :
1. They're Mid-End game animal to find
2. "Ranged" NPCs Suffers from missing their hits often, requires someone to stop the Enemy's movement
3. Any tamed animals starts from Lv.0, raising them up is REALLY tough
How tough? the Lv.116 Corrupted Lizard you see Ate 1521 Ancient Fruits & 482 Golden Eggs

If you want to turn the damage issue around equip a cursed glass mirror, which than turns enemy damage to stun damage.
a 1.000.000 Level Enemy can cause 250k stun damage this way (perfect block won't even cause damage to the shield)

Well it looks better with more work sites...but that's just me, one work sites can take three NPCs working on it, you can limit their movement range to that one work site and work their ass off if you seek efficiency

Ironically, he's actually useful when he's dead than Alive, Meal Effectiveness is really an overlooked mechanic from most players, his cooking rack alone provides a lot of buffs to your defending NPCs around the Targeted NPC by the Raiders, you can only have 100 food buff activated at once, making his cooking rack a pretty useful building for your friendly NPCs defending around the raider's targets.
