Why does NPC keep standing without working even when assigned work in the territory? I mean, they do work; but most do nothing besides standing near it.
1. Check their status, do they got food? do they have water?
I recall the
Water is the most important part as it effects their ability to do their job, they will have a Water drop on their head when they are thirsty
While Food heals them & keep their HP up to the Max
2. Does their Job match their work?
Harvest requires Harvest Box for example, just making sure on this
I guess I should also mention
Food - Requires "Food Box", will gather Food for it and fill it up,
NPCs will eat from it, you can also fill it & eat from it
Some jobs also requires multiple other item to function like Farming, you do need the Harvest box for them to put the Farm crops into it.
NOTE : When they're working, they will have a
WORK ICON on top of their head UNLESS you turn this setting off like I do.
