I tried to make the idea work, it did not work out and it does not look pretty...No matter where ever you try to put the water block down
View attachment 4837767

What you could do is try and make the water block fit into the Stone Pool, like this Onsen Water block...but that's about it
View attachment 4837786
What bothers me is that the stone pool has inventory slots, could have allow us to refill the stone pool water with whatever water block we got...
maybe strange quesiton, but i am new, what pose is she doing and how do you make her do that? or is that special character?

Optional build?
>For me it was "Speed" first, as the game really builds around you not having enough speed to dodge their hits
Which this is probably what most people struggle in combat as they can't evade the attack fast enough
But once you reach to a point where you can easily not be hit, by then I would suggest not to raise it even further as having super high speed might cause you some issue in your gameplay if you enjoy building stuff, a slight elevation would send you flying.
>"Strength" part really depends on how you view on it, as you might accidentally kill whoever you want to capture but forgot to switch weapons
>but "Health" I would say 250~500 HP? or even 1000 HP.
If you got Insane High Health, and you want to view some defeat sex scenes, it might take a while...just a caution.
But as flannan and ciphertul mentioned, High level Raids (90~100+) would spawn Elites, and their attack speed is insane, taking 1 or 2 hits with less than 200HP is an instant down/death, so you might just want enough so that you don't die and got enough time to "heal up"
View attachment 4900833

If you want me to give you an optional build number
Sorry I can't, I will tell you after 250~300 in Speed, DO NOT Raise it more.
As for skill level, you can see only Self-Healing, Smash and Grapple is unlimited raise, so invest in whatever you felt it's important to your current gameplay, I would say Harvest -> Self-Healing -> Leader -> Carry, mainly for having Companions and allow you to carry corpses or unconscious NPCs as a Temporary Storage/Backpack to carry more stuff
View attachment 4900842 View attachment 4900847 View attachment 4900868
Note: The Health/Strength/Speed is only for one character, so it's either raising Yona or Male MC on it, they don't share points.

As for Bows and Arrows
I'll honestly Avoid crafting Wood Arrow at all, waste of feathers
Basic branch Arrow is whatever as they're everywhere, but save the feather for the Iron Arrow and see what Arrow you want to craft afterward as they all require Iron Arrow to make
View attachment 4900883
If the Workbench has a Bow, then that workbench's Arrow special ability is tied to that bow and will be activated when you use the Heavy Attack Key (F)
Spider Arrow & Spider Bow for example :
Normal shot(Arrow form) & Special shot(Web form)
View attachment 4900888

Friendly NPCs who uses a Bow which is Nami, Female Native and Female DLC
By default their Arrows are all Wood Arrows
View attachment 4900892

You can give them any Arrow you want, those Arrow's description's ability will apply to them
like you can see with Chaos arrow shooting 2 Arrows out. (Mid-flight, you can see two arrows flying side by side.)
View attachment 4900896
You can farm/dup these Arrows off of Dead Animals/Some NPCs
Here's my old post on it
https://f95zone.to/threads/mad-island-v0-41-beta-e-made.209671/post-17018631

As for how their arrow damage is calculated...IDK on that honestly.
You can see both x1 Wood arrow and x1 Chaos arrow deals the same damage of 347 (147)
(with Meal Effectiveness Buffing her, 100 veggie pizza, that's +200 attack, so without the buff, she deals 147 damage instead.)

Thank you, King. That was very detailed and I DEEPLY appreciate it, it cleared a lot of questions.

So far I want to get my camp pretty snazy before I attempt any of the story beats... I noticed that some of the points of interest in the map are not related to story.

I just got an Iron Sword and Shield and again, after I feel comfortable with my camp, I want to start venturing out more and exploring. My question is, any suggestion as to where to start first? Perhaps offer a bit of hindsight as to what could be useful ahead? Not looking for an actual walkthrought, just some advise as to where should I start.

Just lurking around and got bored xD

I would assume you have at least beat the native boss right? otherwise you'll be limited on doing things around
Before any other storylines continue,

>As I have mentioned of getting companions via leadership and increase the Carry count of bodies, the reason being the "Storage" or your "inventory" at the start is really LIMITED, you only get to expand it near the mid-end game once you got access to a purple/corrupt/chaos forest area, but for the starting area?
1748926734604.png 1748926763982.png
You can carry Corpses and storage items in them as a form of a backpack, Large natives are suitable for that task funny enough, having a Companion can also carry your stuff and help you out in a fight
1748926855566.png

>Once you're all set, now onto the "Map exploring phase", cleaning up the "Dark/Unknown parts" of your maps as much as you can, spot and see whatever "events" there is around the map
1748927721705.png
After you got their event location figure out, I would recommend you SAVE that Savefile as a backup save, incase you fucked up or want to go back and "rewatch it" without using console commands or restarting a new game just for it.

After that, depends on you either grinding/farming for resources or start doing those story events
Better yet, start to "understanding how Base Raiding mechanic works" xD
but I would leave this to Mid-End game once you got access to that "purple/corrupt/chaos forest area", it would be easier on your hands on looting dead bodies(the number over 100+ dead raiders)

So end summary:
>Find ways to increase your inventory space temporary, either with Corpse carrying or Companion carrying
>Explore the map, figuring out each event locations so you will know where to go next
Afterward
>Gather resources to build a cozy base
>Do the storylines
or
>Understanding in-game mechanics on Base Raiding

I'll add a note here
>If you have issue with Food and Water, figure that out first before other things above, since Red flag teleport will be your friend before you got enough speed to roam around the map
Craft more Red flags and place wherever you find interest in, either be a village or a cave that leads somewhere.

Feel free to ask the Base Raiding part, it'll be an annoyance when you get spotted by Scout Raiders and they come to wreck your base and FORCED you to go and save them over and over again.

Cheer animation - Elder Sister Native

Sit animation - Female Native
1748930127678.png
For them to have Pose/Animation, you have to Keep them in place for it.

As for how to obtain Elder Sister Native as they don't spawn in the map, You can search through the older post...
Or if you want me to make a guide on it? I don't mind.

How to search old post? here, very useful.

Is it possible to play this game without getting into the guro stuff?
I believe most 'gore' related stuff woulf be the available cannibalism, or limbs being cut-off with heavy attacks (or manually from corpses) - atleast off the top of my head.
Oh, there is a workbench which kind of requires legs though - don't fully remember which workbench had which stuff, but I believe that one's mostly for the cannibalism part? So I'd say it's quite "overlookable" and avoidable - but that's more a personal opinion of course.

Others will likely be able to provide a much more precise info on that, but might help as an initial info regardless.

No I have not killed the native boss. I haven't done much venturing outside the area you spawn in. Been trying to get my camp set up first but I am struggling getting my Villagers water with only 1 well.

I suppose I need to look for that boss first? I am really trying to avoid the story until I have a comfortable supply of equipment and stuff, but what do you recommend? Do I bite the bullet and just explore?

Another thing, I am a harem master... it's in my blood. Without many spoilers, is it possible to romance all the girls (excluding Yona, which as far as I am aware she is WIP) at the same time? like maybe rescue them and having them all in the camp for myself?

Well...you might want to define your meaning of Guro on it, because combat would be a thing, heavy attack would chop limbs off
However there is a setting called "Guro"
Be honest with you, IDK what it does, just tested it, limbs still gets chop off
1748937537889.png
In the story,
I can only recall "four" times where some Guro would happen
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

In the gameplay,
there's seven to eight elements to have Guro related stuff
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

So if your guro = minecraft Peaceful mode? might not gonna happen.
Specially when this game has more or less a R18G tag worthy

First part
Oof, well you would be locked in the South region for the most part, since the Base Flag(Blue flag) WILL NOT be available for you, causing Yona or Male MC to stay at the original Beach, relocating them will be impossible unless using /change which will still cause them to walk back to the beach.
You can very much still go over to the North part of the map without fighting the first boss but...eh...they don't offer easy passage than the first Boss way, but that's really on you pickingyour poison.

Second part
I would say "Yes", unless you don't mind leaving Yona or Male MC at the beach
Whenever you want to switch character, you would be forced to go back to the beach just to switch between them, just a hassle + the First boss doesn't really tie much to the story...sadly.

Third part
Yes you indeed can, both female NPCs and eh...most female Story characters, but since you don't want Spoiler, I will just say this to end my post.
"REMEMBER TO SAVE" BEFORE Entering those Blue Circles or Pink-Red Circles
"2 options is often hiding 1 option", find that 1 hidden option with correct item.
