As stated, downed is different than dead.
Your own NPC, and the other MC that you are not playing currently, cannot die in battle, like patrols, raids, or coming as companion with you...
If they lose all their HP, they will wake up after a while, and start healing as long as they are not hungry.
(That's why you need Food Boxes especially in your bases that are gonna see some fights)

BUT.
If a raid targets someone and you fail to stop it, then that person is kidnaped anda timer of 20 minutes will soon starts.
If you fail to rescue your NPC within 10 minutes, they will be r**ed.
If you fail do it before the end... They are gone.

That's the only way to permanently lose someone.
That, and story events for a few NPC of course.

There are a few, but keep in mind that the game isn't finished, and a lot of modders wait until a game is done to start making mods, so there will likely be more later. But, for now, there's this:

Do we really need insane strong mobs in porn game ? never know people will fab over mobs they can't defeat.

I'd definitely like some higher difficulty mobs to keep the game feeling like a game as you progress, since its just a raid I'm sure you can ignore it if you dont like it

The're structures (several) which you can use to completely nullify/stop raids. Or have them be at so low level and and numbers it becomes a non-threat.

Hello! With the recent events on Steam, I'm not really sure whether I should buy the game before it might be taken down from the store... I'm also not confident about the translation of the last message from the dev a few days ago.
If it's possible (or will be possible) to buy it somewhere other than Steam, I’d be very happy to know ^^

I've heard on another thread somewhere that you can still download removed games, obviously assuming you bought them.
Hasn't happened to anything I own, so I can't personally guarantee it though.

That said, whether you'd get any future updates to a game in development is probably pretty ambiguous.
The dev seemed to be alluding to the fact that they would continue to provide updates separately for the steam version.

To directly answer your question though, you could presumably get the game from the dev's

Thank you for your reply. Since we can see several finished games available for purchase on the creator's ci-en page, but Mad Island was only listed on Steam for now, I was wondering whether the game will also be sold like the others (on ci-en) or only on Steam.
I just prefer owning my games without the risk of seeing them disappear someday ^^

No problem.

I'd be incredibly surprised if they didn't put it up for sale on dlsite after it's complete. They have a ci-en, so they would undoubtedly piss off a lot of people by not doing so. Besides, they already sell other games on dlsite. It's probably just not on there because it's not complete yet. If you want to be 100% sure though, obviously you'd have to ask the dev.

I suppose you could question why they have early access on steam and not dlsite. Maybe dlsite doesn't allow early access. Maybe they like getting money from releasing to supporters on ci-en. I could speculate but, once again, ultimately the best approach would be to ask the dev if you want a concrete answer.

You can't get it through Steam. It's only available from the dev's website. Google it. It's very easy to find.

Anyone else notice the Mini One-Piece Dress from the Spring Workbench is semi transparent but only for native girls (DLC) with the medium breast size?

I know the semi-transparent things have some limitations, like they break if you change the HSV values, but you CAN still change the RGB values to customize them. And they look great. I wish they'd do more of them!

I love some of Yona's outfits for just that reason.

I think it will still be DLC you will have to go and get separately, but there will just be one version of it. ATM there is two.

Also the starter guide is the funniest shit, i strongly recommend reading it.

There are multiples guides, all linked in the first post.
And yeah, they helped me a lot when I started, heck, probably found 99% of my questions's answers in them.
Especially the story missions guide, the choices, and their consequences...

Well, I know about the guides on here, but that quote sounded like something the dev had written, so I thought you were referring to an official guide (which has been lacking).

In the end, this is a sandboxy game.
There are main story goal, but you can ignore them for a while, if not forever.
So... Everyonehave their own way to play the game, their own goals, the things they like to do...

For exemple, I found myself trying to rush as fast as I could with my (extremly) limited speedrunner skills, to see how fast I could reach some goals, and then open myself to some real freedom.

Like getting the chaos bench in less than 3 hours, and be done with all fighting besides raids.

Or also inspiring myself of what other people said and did to find some of the best area to build some bases, even with the very cluncky building system you can have a lot of fun with it.

But getting a "good" start is linked to those two objectives I guess.
Getting good tools, leveling up, and at least in the begining, having either a fully safe base, or one that is easy to defend.
