It's finnicky, the whole picture needs to be done so if you've missed a small spot or two progression won't trigger. JUst move your mouse around to grab any spot you missed and the button to proceed should appear

We never will. The developers and the artist had a falling out. IIRC the experience put such a bad taste in the devs' mouth that they've put the project down for good. If we're very lucky they decide to take another crack at it one day, but we're definitely not getting anything soon

Again? Another great game with LOT of potential just put in the junkard of good games that never see the light of glory just because Devs abandon it... Shame...
