Let me know how it goes. I'm curious about the results and how you got there.

So, here's what I got. Upon getting to Sapphire City, I found that some of my characters were in the rehire area because the guild was too full but not a problem. Story skills and items such as the Jump spell, underwater equipment, and various keys are removed. Oddly enough, the cult star symbol is not. When I was in free mode, I didn't use Theo at all and when I started NG+ he didn't have his counter ability. I also included a screenshot showing that the ccmod's keep skills option is on.

Now then, upon getting to Blue in the park, I was actually able to damage him this time around. I thought that was patched out in this version but I guess not. After all the cutscenes and getting back in control, Riselle is not available anywhere. So it looks like you can't just re-add her to the party afterwards.

Thank you for taking the time to document and share your findings on the matter. That's fairly interesting.

That's not really true. The translation patch touches a lot of files, including many of the .tjs files that contain much of the game logic. Most likely the whatever newer patches have will be overwritten by the translation patch. Low chance that it doesn't and applies some of the bugfixes, and a very low chance that it actually breaks things. There's not really a point to apply newer patches unless you manually merge them yourself, which isn't trivial if you don't have the proper workflow set up.

Fair. I unpacked the translation patches, and normally, it just deals with scenario translations at a glance. But if you're saying some of the fixed bugs and logics are also in the scenario, then yes it is also dealt with in the translation patch.

You are correct that the later number patches for modding and translation will naturally take over and apply in the order of the latter file instead of the patch.

Hence, my recommendation still is to just stay in the version where the game is translated and been modded up to, if that is your concern.

Even if you beat Blue, game still acts like you lose, this is scripted so no way to avoid NTR with Riselle.

Installed the v1.42 translation into game v1.44 and the version number went back to v1.41.
