after completing temple and tomb visiting quest i am lost on what to do is it just a do whatever you want scenario?

Free mode can have a party consisting of anyone without a protagonist and you can do basically anything. There are no story events nor inn events, though it does have Liesel Wildbull scenes which from what I'm seeing in the files are only available in Free Mode. It's mostly for if you are a big fan of the gameplay or just want to explore the world without limits imposed by the story.

so free mode has less h scenes than story mode??

okay, now that I coomed and can think clearly I can tell that this game needs a lot of fixes, I had frequent trial version popups and some crashes here and there, hopefully I can keep the same save after the patches.

I think this issue is fixed in 1.02 patch

You could reroll your stats and make an advanced class in the beginning like lord or assassin. It'll make your gameplay easier. There was a post about required stats for classes in this topic. This page can also help.

Make protag a lord by using cheat engine to increase the starting values on the beginning character maker page. Then make your exp 99999999 or something and then sleep like 50 nights straight at the inn. You’ll gain op magic and abilities and be unstoppable. Oh and also regularly refill your MP and HP with cheat engine (don’t set it to 999999 like you did with the exp, it glitches out) so you can spam the op abilities.

I've created a quick patch for the UI images with files from Xebit's demo translation. I'll see about getting more of it functional later if he doesn't get to it first or when i get bored with the game. Just drag and drop it into the game folder

If you don't have 1.02 (it's a few posts up) either install that or rename the file to just patch and it should load.

Mtool works for me so far but i'm also using deepseek (which is paid) and it takes awhile to load on top of occasionally chugging

I'm unable to go south of Seagull village to get the wooden bridge required to advance further. Has anyone been able to do so? Even with Mtool turned off, I still get the same dialogue: "This road leads to Brave village, Blue will find you" then I'm forced back

You have to advance the story enough. Eventually Blue will come back and you can go there.

The only issue i had was having to wait 3-5 minutes for it to load and the usual scuffed MTL stuff after. A lot of the stuff has to be translated in the files if you're talking about the text in the Ui, sometimes it will miss events or signs in the map files, etc...

I know Mtool chugs and very rarely randomly crashed but it's mostly stable otherwise

I wouldn't expect any issues to be solved, I think most of the problems are caused by the game being weird internally and Mtool trying to make sense of it.
