Story. It's a bit confusing to follow but you can make do following along in this thread.
Freemode is mainly for if you just really enjoy the non-H gameplay, and there are decades of better dungeon crawlers than this if that's what you're into.

Yeah the game is essentially classic Wizardry. If you want a game just like it but without the H content, an old wizardry game on steam (labyrinth something, has a picture of a silver-haired lady on the art) is basically this but more heavy on the punishing dungeon crawling.
This game is nice if you just want to have your party loaded with cute girls, though.

Does anyone know how to cross the bridge in the desert? I thought levitate was supposed to work but it did absolutely nothing for me other than drop me down into a pit.

I am looking into that right now. Levitate works for the other broken bridge thats on a cave before that place (which leads to some underground village, but thats locked with a special key, I havent found it yet.)

Yeah same issue now I've cleared the Kobold area. Even content that WAS translated no longer is. Very strange.
it’s so incredibly galling for me because of how hard I was gaming. I took pretty much the same party I had at the time of the initial *incident*, with very little changes, and actually killed the black dragon as a confidence boost before smacking blue down. I was jacked. He had the level difference, but with my flamberge I was actually damaging him. My rogue was hitting him for 130 and 60 each turn. I knew it was coming when I got stripped of my gear. I knew it was coming since the arena, and I had to watch the oncoming train run me over, helpless.
It’s spotty. Most dialogue translated, but things like signs and some warnings from characters are something like images, and possibly stored separately from the text.
If it’s some garunteed loss shit where I end up as Blue’s whipping boy, I might legit crash out. I barely even care about the NTR, I just hate his ass. Otherwise? I know what I’m getting into now. I know any romance scene is just a bait-and-switch. So I ain’t gonna bother. I might still make a chatbot based on Blue right after the party battle in his hideout, get some… Catharsis…

I wouldn't be shocked. He convinces MC to join his party without any real showing of having girls he wants to bone in his party, treats him like shit, and leaves him for dead to save his own skin when they encounter the Black Dragon. Bro comes back and keeps messing with him, and for what? All the available girls in the sea, he keeps going after the MC's girl. He's OBSESSED.
At least in Leane it was "hey, I'm pillaging and conquering your female commanders", and Leane 2, it was "haha I want all the cute girls in my harem!"
Blue just specifically wants your girls. He should just confess that he wants MC to himself already.
