It's RNG drop. Just keep going in and out of the floor to reset the fixed spawn and keep killing for it,

Are you referring to the basement floor of the Tower you access from the bottom Canyon? Cause that ladder only leads to a specific path that goes to one of the Statues you need for 23rd Floor, not the entirety of the Tower to explore. It only goes up to 4F.
Rest assured, the Phoenixes drop the Feather. It's indeed a matter of rng drop rate. Even I grinded the Phoenixes simply for EXP and I only get it at least 3 out of 10 fights to drop one.
I spent probably at least an hour and didn't get any Phoenix Feather drops. Thinking that maybe the CCMod's High-stakes treasure being maxed out at 50, I take out those patch files. 3rd battle after, there's the feather. So, if someone else in the future can't seem to get this to drop no matter what they do, try removing the CCMod (or lowering the High-stakes treasure) for a few battles to see if it drops.
Edit: Follow up question, is there a specific requirement to get Armor Tester 2 quest to show up? After completing the first quest a long time ago, the second one just won't appear. Maybe I broke the quest chain because I used Alchemist instead of Valkyrie? (CCMod Full Metal Alchemist was on and I had her use it.)

Hey so I just stumbled upon this game and checked out CCmod, is there any recommendations on what to activate/deactivate and what values to change/not touch? I don't know what is too unbalanced

Okay, yeah, spiking High-Stakes Treasure does affect the drop rates as well, not just treasure chest drops alone so you did it for doing too much lol. I also do use High-Stakes but not to the point it's super rare, at the very least, I only added a bit of difficulty from disarming while still having a little chance of earning great loot by chance.
In the mean time; it's very likely you botched the Armor Tester quest because of Full Metal Alchemist since it's meant for Valkyries. Some others experienced the issue before but not the same way, though it's likely bugged now if you completed it with an Alchemist instead since from my experience of being able to complete all three sequence questlines, the game seems to quest check whoever the first girl you used for the first quest.

There is a lot to explain in a short quick manner so best you take the time to check it out and see what can potentially interest you to customize the game to your tastes for your experience.
The one thing I would recommend is the character creation cheat.
The others are more of a matter of taste imo.
To be honest, if you're allergic to grinding for levels and just want to have a good time. This is what I ended up doing:
- Character creation cheat = yes
- Exp Reward mult = 100
- Magic Damage Scaling = 5
- High-stakes treasure = 10
- Inn Peek redux = Yes
- Full Metal Alchemist = Yes
- Add Item Cheat = Yes
- Weight rebalance = Yes

- Warehouse puzzle bypass = Yes
- Alternative cursed gear = Yes
- Spell effect changes = Yes
- Inn overhaul = Yes
- Fixed Leveling = Yes

Question, is there a fix for this bug? on the item gallery some items are still blocked, even thought i already have obtained them or is there a cheat to unlock all items? because i am pretty sure i already obtained some items at least once but they are still locked

Did you really get them though? try putting into MC inventory cause sometimes it won't register with others inventory but it rarely happens.
The 1st pic are the star cards and you need to collect all 10 to be able to access a certain magic shop, 2nd pic is quest items and for the 3rd i think its the fake gem being sold in Dust town.

yeah pretty sure i got them cuz i did the holy grail quest and the star cards quest for example, but after checking yeah its probably cuz the item did not touch the MC inventory, so will have to do a NG+ to get some items again xD
What a pain, but I guess the developer just wants everything to go through the MC inventory for simplicity's sake on checking off the list of items that appear in the game.
Just go download the patch and update it. The base game on the main thread won't need to be updated ever time.

Looks like CCMod's hold shift Magic Bridge prevention use has an unintended side effect...
Seems it bypasses the dive check status while using it and stepping into dive water, or even allowing you to just Magic Boat without... the use of Magic Boat on non-diveable water lmao

How do you uncurse equipment when using the modded version? I'd like to be able to remove the curse of stuff without losing the object.
I have the spell learned, but I have no idea how to use it. If I go to the spell, it tells me it's in the object directly :

That feature is a part of dnbtweaks and it was fixed like a month ago. Update your shit.

OK got it so you can't uncurse items unless worn, and if worn you can't uncurse them until x days passed, then you can keep them. If you uncurse them through a shop, it still breaks them.
