I've been trying for a few days now, but I just keep up ending up with girls who look like some quasi-Angelina Jolie-rip-off (she's a combination of about 7 base girls):

I have this horrible feeling that not only did the dev morph together Claire from a lot of girls, but specific sliders were used as well to add the finishing touches. The thing is, Claire has this 'pinched' look around her nose, and that generally comes from morphing together quite different face types; it's just trying to maintain the sharp nose bridge and the almost chiselled nostril area, the small size of her eyes, strong jawline .... argggg ... I'm missing something, somewhere.

Skin-wise, the closet I can find is (based various skin marks), but it isn't Imogen. Maybe another FW girl. Yesterday I went through every Genesis 3 girl on the DAZ store, but couldn't find an exact match; I must have missed something, or the skin is custom.

The upside is all this searching has taught me creating new, attractive girls from base-girls is really easy.

Thankfully I'm both patient and desperate :)

Likewise I've been struggling with Ashley for several days now. Initially I thought she would be a easy one to start with as everyone stated she was simply the daughter from DMD. She is not, she is similar but the skin used is not the same. Also there does seem to be some lip morph in play on all the girls that gives them a plumper upper lip. (Not to mention the breast and butts). As far as the skin is concerned I'm looking into skin builder and various other options. Hopefully I or someone here will have a breakthrough. If you haven't I would suggest you take a look at Renderosity, there are some FW girls there and I know that several assets(the apartment, and Ashley's swimsuit) that came from there. Good Luck!

Was looking at the DAZ3D sales yesterday and saw , and thought, 'It's mom!'.

So, loaded her up, poked and prodded and kerfangled, but then found a nice airline outfit, a blonde wig, and ... there was this robot that magically appeared in my inventory, and one thing led to another, and ... and ... no.

Just no.

I failed.

Everyone please understand that we can't make our own 3D rendered fan art for Man of the House without knowing the "recipes" for the characters. It appears that the MotH characters are not commercially-sold DAZ 3D figures used as-is without modification. If they are, then none of us have been able to identify them. This likely means that Faerin has made custom skin textures that we are never going to recognize on a DAZ store website. Faerin probably also made use of DAZ's ability to morph the figure head and body geometry, such that his characters could be a blend of many commercially-sold figures. Furthermore, even a single figure has dozens of sliders to adjust head and body features. Hell, there are dozen of such sliders for the breasts alone. If so, then again, we are never going to recognize his particular combination of morphs on a DAZ store website.

To be fair, our dilemma of not being able to duplicate Faerin's work is to his credit. He has created distinctive characters that don't look exactly like the characters in most of the other games. The same can't be said for the creators of those other games. The reason there are more than 250 pages of fan art for Big Brother is because the recipes for its characters as well as every room in the house and all of its furnishings were simple enough to be identified and reverse-engineered by some skillful F95zone members. If Man of the House is Colonel Sanders' secret KFC recipe with 11 herbs and spices, then Big Brother is more like a peanut butter sandwich.

It would be really awesome if Faerin were to share with us his "recipes". It wouldn't take long for this thread to also have 250 pages of fan art (and the Big Brother fan art thread would probably languish like that game itself). But it's perfectly understandable why he should not: there is no doubt that his characters would begin to show up in other games. Seems like every day there's yet another Russian with yet another horrible v0.01 game intro on Patreon, and they don't deserve to gain anything at all from riding on Faerin's coat tails.

TL;DR: if I had the 3D assets to make Man of the House fan art, I would do so. But I don't, so I can't.

Excellent point and well said. Particularly enjoyed the KFC analogy. I would add to his reason for not sharing the recipes is the fact that he uses his renders for stand alone images on Patreon to reward and fund his work. I can't image he would like to endanger that. Also someone might yet crack the recipe or come so close to it that it is indistinguishable, after all two of the 11 seasonings are salt and pepper. We might just need more time or we could just eat our P&B while we wait.

Faerin should stay totally quiet on the whole recipe front: the things I would do to those characters if I knew the ingredients, and half the fun [???] on the fan-art thing is trying to figure out the ingredients (and all the countless amusing blunders [I have] made in the process). Though, I might be onto something with the Jezebel character, I just need to stay focused (and far away from killer robots) ...

Hey guys, @WBWB is spot on.
During my early versions I got a lot of slack for copying the girl from DmD (with Ashley), without even ever having seen that game. So I decided to spend some more time creating more customized characters, to prevent that from happening.

I just started out with Daz back then, so that also brought a lot of beginner's mistakes with it, which I unfortunately have
to deal with on a daily basis, as you can't just drastically change all the models ;)
So I hope that my next project (and newer models) will be a step up model-wise.

That doesn not mean however, that I don't immensly appreciate the efforts and interest!

@Faerin
Wasn't expecting a like from the master himself, it's way more work trying to emulate someone else than creating my own stuff let me tell you that hehe :p love your work and your modeling progress over time
