Any updates?
The alpha will come. The devs did redesigned the maps. They don't have a set release date yet, they are working hard to get it done soon. The first version of the game will be free. In my opionion, I say it's going be much better than what deka made in his version.

I thought they said the first version was being released this month? I am sure it will be better in terms of running smoothly but I hope they keep all the things that made this and Sunny Coast College great.

I'm aware that they mentioned this month a couple of posts ago. On their recent post on patreon 5 days ago, as all aware that they couldn't release the alpha in August as they're redesigned the maps and the systems. We're kinda in the loop right now. Tell you what, I keep an eye out on for their next post on their patreon as I do check on a daily basis and let you know of any information they post. Yes, when the alpha comes out, I'll definitely post it. Don't lose hope my friend!

Damn. I understand shit happens, especially in game development. I am as filled with hope as Best Girl in Domina, I was just hoping to play it during back to school time which comes BEFORE pumpkin time. I will be here following this thread so as soon as you upload it I will be playing it.

Here's a brand new post from The Rose Grove:

"Hello dear patrons!

Today we would like to showcase some of the "Expedition" system that we have added in the game. We'll start by showing our vehicles menu and we'll move to our Region Map in a few days.

As a bounty hunter, your job and main source of income will be venturing out in the wilderness, reaching the location pointed by your selected bounty, and clearing it of the outlaws inhabiting it. The wilderness around the city is vast and dangerous - depending on your bounty, you might have to travel for days to reach your target. In the game, this travel is simulated according to varying factors with a form of 'fast travel'. Assuming you have enough supplies, food and equipment with you, you will be able to fast travel to your target location and the game will calculate how many days it took you to walk the distance. Naturally, longer distances require more supplies.

As a bounty hunter, you will quickly find out that walking is not the most efficient way to reach bounty targets, especially those that are far off the city. Vehicles come in handy here.

While it's quite a large investment, and you won't be able to afford it in the beginning at all, vehicles serve as one of the best ways to traverse the wilderness of the Maple Mountains. Thankfully, the technocratic city of Maple Hills is home to several vehicle manufacturers that would be very happy to sell their merchandise to you. From cheap options, like the famous Maple Buggies that were built specifically for the region's biome, to a reliable FlexTrak that could carry the game's maximum of 4 party members to your destination, to even just a mountain bike for 1 person, vehicles can carry you to your destination faster, require less supplies to do so, and also increase your cargo capacity (meaning you can loot more contraband from your bounty location!).

Each vehicle is classified by several stats. Speed and Handling calculate how fast you can reach your target and the chance of getting ambushed on the road (these hills are filled with cutthroats!). Fuel Rate is about how efficient the vehicle is at burning gas - some vehicles simply require refilling more often than others. Similarly, the Maintenance stat dominates how often the vehicle requires... well, maintenance. We plan to add a "mechanic"-kind of skill later on, so the player could potentially learn to maintain their vehicle(s) themselves, but at the moment you'll have to pay to keep your motor in top shape. Lastly, the Cargo Capacity stat shows how big of a Carry Weight boost the vehicle gives you while on an expedition. Obviously, a big truck will allow you to hoard more loot than a bicycle.

Driving isn't allowed within the city, so vehicles are really only used for your expeditions, or for travelling to other regions (future updates). There is no limit to how many vehicles you can own.

That's all for our wheel scrapheaps! We'll be back soon to showcase the larger Region Map and travel system, along with some more info about bounty locations. Thank you so much for your support and patience as we keep developing this passion project of ours!

What in the Ruby's Inferno did I just read? This is not Maple Hills College at all. This is so far removed from it's original and prequel(?).

Something brand new and unexpected. Things did change since the Rose Grove took over the project. It just gets me more excited for it!

*Sighs* This foreshadows dark times for Maple Hills College (Even Darker than if Worst Girl were running this slice of the world). I wanted to see the same feel, context, that would remain true to the spirit of Sunny Coast College. At this rate we won't be seeing Gwen's trademark phrase either.

I don't know, since the new project seems to have entirely nothing to do with MHC, why not do a completely new game instead? Bounty hunters? Really? Wrong decision imho

The femdom will still be in here along with the fetishes inspired from dekarous. The main character be dom or sub or both.

New Post

Hello dear patrons!

As promised, we're back to delve a bit deeper into the Expedition System. Today, we'll talk about the Region Map.

As mentioned in the last post, venturing out into the wilderness to chase after bounty targets will be your main job as a Bounty Hunter of Maple Hills. The wilderness surrounding the city is vast, and the infrastructure that once decorated it is now crumbling and used as bases for crime. The way we decided to deal with this mechanic is by creating Region Maps. Each Region Map covers a different area of the surrounding wilderness, usually featuring its own biome or theme. So, for example, one region could be a picturesque valley of pine trees, while another could feature a mountainous territory that is covered in snow most of the year. Each Region Map includes a variety of bounty targets (aka dungeons) that you can fast travel to, through the travel system we talked about in the last post. The game will initially launch with one Region Map (the beginner area), and we plan to add more and more with future updates.

Bounty targets typically work as text adventures, where you get to pick choices and tactics for engagement, combined with combat encounters (inspired by Darkest Dungeon). Each bounty location is custom-made and features lore about the world, loot and secrets to find. This means that the amount of bounties you can complete is finite - at some point you're going to clear the entire area of targets. However, this should take a while, as we want to make each expedition feel like a big deal that requires a lot of time and preparation (and rest after it is completed). Regardless, we plan to add more locations to each Region Map even after it's released. We are trying to hit the sweetspot between expedition/combat gameplay and city/romance questing, and I'm guessing the balance between the two will shift a lot during future development, depending on your feedback!

We are currently polishing up the combat gameplay, so we're very excited to delve into that for the next post. Stay tuned!

A DOM MC in a "Deka" game?!

Ewwwww! This is the WORST thing I have read in a VERY long time. This is the game equivalent of Worst Girl from Domina (Mary).

There are several key points in this that disgust me the most.

1. Several different biomes - So even the name Maple Hills (College?) is a lie.

2. Inspired by Darkest Dungeon - So it's not even going to be inspired by any other games. There are better options such as one that ALREADY takes place in a college, and another one where you fight 13 evil dominas...

3. Romance - WTF is that?

All in all, this is the h game equivalent of the Zelda CDI games:

The game is like a hybrid of slice of live and femdom where you raise your stats, learn new skills, buying weapons, engage with enemies, Meet and make friends with certain characters that could lead to new scenes. The Rose Grove is aware that we all want femdom to be in the game.
