RPGM - Completed - Marie's [Ch. 4] [ddfunlol]

The game is really good in some aspects, but horrible in other. The character is really attractive. But the graphics and renders are really poor quality and on top of that in small resolution. There is a lot of sex scenes. But the writting is simple horrible.

I'll start by saying this would be 4 stars from me if not for some extremely clunky mechanics on the 6th day that completely ruin the experience, you're forced to use arrow keys hundreds of times to progress through sex scenes, all while waiting for slow static images to progress.

With that out of the way, everything else is quite good. Even given its now dated release, the LI is still quite attractive and artwork looked good to me.

The best way I could describe this while adhering to the review rules is a 'lite' version of another popular f95 ntr game, which may or may not rhyme with The Cautious Life about a spouse at her job. That's not to disparage nor build up either game, it's simply that but in a slightly less grindy but less overall content format.

Most of the scenes aside from prior mentioned 6th day are quite good, and if you can get over the older rpgm format without mouse support you'll enjoy it - I ended up using an autohotkey script to spam spacebar to compensate for lack of renpy skip functionality.

This is a hot game, with some basic technical problems, listed below. Unfortunately I disappointed at the end of the game: I have'nt got any answers for the following questions:
- The game would be a VN in a VN. At the beginning there is a decetive or reporter (?) showing some pictures to FC. She tells the history of these pictures, but there is no end of neither her stories, nor the VN framing FC's story, that is: what would happen after telling the story?
- There is no end of the game from the wiew of point, that how the couple would get rid of the mafia? (I suppose, the MC would make a penis enlargement at the end, and the couple becomes swingers...)
- I waited for the story of FC about have her revenge on her bosses.
So I wait a renewed and enlarged version of this game, rewritten in RenPy mode, which has the opportunity a more easier manageability for the gamers.
By the way, the husband would have more joy during the game, not only in the prison, but by the Kevins and by masturbating or getting HJ-s, or getting spontaneous orgasms and ejaculations for fucking his wife by other men.

The game started out nice enough. It had a story and everything that made me want to find out what were going to happen next, but at some time it looked like that the author decided to skip the story and decided to only do porn scenes. One after another, after another, after another, after another, until you simply got tired of them and couldn't wait for it to finish so the story hopefully could continue, but honestly I have seen porn movies with more story and progression than this one.

Initially the story is that a woman lives with her gay (gay as in gay until he can get into her pants gay, so it's really bi with bi on), because her husband is in jail for stealing from the mafia so she have to learn to work as a secretary(?) in a model agency/erotic booking agency/something. Her gay room mate slips her some aphrodisiac and I am sure you can then guess the rest.

I found the gay (MM) scenes the most interesting in the game, but unfortunately there are only a few of them, and the sole FF scene (that I noticed) were uninspiring.

The manual movements with the arrow keys during the sex scenes could have been done better and of all things would have preferred QT events compared to how it were used in the game.

This "story" should be used as a warning to all future erotic game devs on how they shouldn't do porn games. Please let the porn and the sex follow the story and give the story and its characters room to grow between the sex/porn scenes, and don't overdo them in a porn frenzy. At one point i counted 10 scenes that happened right after the last one ended, and that just kills the mood when they all are about poking their stick into whatever available orifice in the protagonist.

The developer have clearly spend a lot of time on this game and I can't imagine the time it has taken to render it all, so it is unfortunate that he (I'm 110% certain its a he who did this) didn't give the story the needed room to grow so the porn could have be just a little bit interesting instead of using the whole game as a masturbation placeholder - and I'm sure everyone who played it lost interest in even doing that after a while.

When that it said 5 stars for trying to do bi content. Minus 3 and probably many more for the overall execution of the game. I liked that he at least did try to do the BI content when it lasted and would have welcomed much more, even if the majority in here probably wouldn't have liked it. But to me it were what made this game stand out from many other games here on this site.

1) The gaming window takes up only 1/6th of my pc screen; and the full screen button is greyed out so you're not allowed to see the game properly.. grr.

2) The gameplay starts you in a NES 8-bit world.... yeah; great for young audiences younger than 18yo or for classic retro gamers, but this game isn't a classic.

3) The writing is too small to read and in white.

4) Translation to English is poor and words are arse about tit = eg: Instead of saying "I can see" ... it's "can I see".

5) I was told to go to the beach to talk to someone.... Well, where? Apart from hopelessly getting lost to find the beach; no person wanted to talk. Yes there were 3 people and a cat; but trying to talk to them while they kept fidgeting around was frustrating for 1 thing, but they don't have anything programmed to them to say anything is another thing.

6) Still hopelessly wandering around to find where and what I'm supposed to be interacting with to get the game story going; I came across a star that did nothing - (Stars are for loading into another playing field or into a building), so if this game is complete; why didn't a particular star activate anything?!.

7) What you see of the 3D characters in the pics to the game page is not the quality in game = false advertising. So drool all you like because game quality is somewhat disappointing.

8) Animated scenes? (I got to see only one before getting hopelessly lost looking for a talkable character on the beach before I quit game and deleted game file and then write this review)... The animated scene was about the only thing likable in my gaming progress, but even then it wasn't all that great; because there is no sound to go with the actions; so you'd have to improvise.

9) Quit game > Delete game file > Laugh at it like it's a bad joke before it eats into you like cancer, because the tags and game description got your hopes up.

What an awful translation and gameplay. One of the worst RPGM's I have ever played. Futhermore, I have not been able to play it on a wider screen. The game screen is only 640x480p, the animations & sounds are very cheap and the story is so weak.

So, some of the NTR shit in this game is really good. Now I'm not into any of the gay stuff at all, but i feel like it would be unfair of me to mark this game down because it includes something like a sexuality or kink that I'm just not personally into. I was able to ignore it and speed through the gay scenes (there's not many, far more straight scenes than gay ones) but I'm sure not everyone can just ignore them.

The only thing that is stopping this from being a 5 star to me personally, is the dialogue. The creator is clearly not english speaking and the translations are very poor to the point it's pretty humorous, whether that's an intent of the creator or not.

I find the rendors to be pretty good and the women to be very attractive, so he's doing well in that department for sure. Overall a solid game if you are into NTR.

I have to admit, I was very skeptical at the beginning due to the extremely poor translation (doesn't even get the pronouns correct, not just conjugation, but the gender can be completely messed up) however you generally know what is going on, as well as the low resolution images. But it is actually a surprisingly good effort (more VN than game as there aren't a whole lot of choices, there are a few), but there are a couple hours plus of content (hard to judge completely accurately, I did hold down skip through a lot of it, but also a few quick smoke breaks) which surprised me, since I kept figuring "it has to be done by now", only for yet more scenes and story to appear. And actually the story went places I had no idea it was going to go based on my early impressions and has more depth than one would guess at first.

Definitely worth playing with a few caveats:
If Bi/Gay themes bother you (specifically dude on dude) you won't like this. There are definitely dudes giving other dudes head, anal love, and the like. It's not the focus, the protagonist is a chick that mainly bangs dudes and that's most of the scenes, but some of the dudes in her life like other dudes.
The CG is definitely low-res. It's scaled up a bit, but you can definitely tell it's like 640 or something, especially if played full screen.
There is a bit of wonkiness and bugs you can run into if you get too creative and wander into places out of order. It will throw everything off and you'll have to reload. You pretty much want to avoid exploring too much and just go from point A to point B.
Speaking of point A to B, there is no quest log or journal, so sometimes if you don't pay attention to the dialogue you might miss what you need to do. And everything including entrance/exits to maps is that flashing star, which can be confused with "oh that's a quest thing" even if it's just the entrance to another map that actually has no relation to your current task.
Pros include:
Significant playtime. As mentioned above, I'm a quick reader often skipping text, and while I did take some smoke breaks, my playtime is like 3 hours.
Homegirl isn't just a stupid chick getting blackmailed into banging old guys like most (especially RPGMaker) corruption games. While there are some things going on, she definitely is more of a "sexual awakening" type of girl who does things because she wants to.
The black guys aren't just "You stupid white slut, no one can resist my BBC and you will become my slave begging me for my cock" as they are in most of these games.
The swinger/cuckold fetish is portrayed in a different way, and yes if you get a bit further into the story there is technically *gasp* NTR (incoming whiny-insecure-F95-neckbeard-shitstorm) but it's the NPCs around the protagonist that run into it because of her choices, it isn't "OMG the paperboy is a guy and he delivered the paper, OMG another Eric." that is usually seen.

Pros: Lot of nice graphical content. Although silly plot, the game turns you on and makes you wait for an update. English grammar could be better, but you don't feel the need to skip the text. After some time you start to understand the language pattern, and it stops bothering. Nice positive cuckold scenes, they do not look rude or disgusting.

Cons: Some gay content here and there that I'm not fond of. Few bugs when MC gets stuck in the bed, but there are workarounds. Some people may not like Cuckold/ntr content, but the author made it very easy to swallow.

super graphic with really erotik scenes. A truly not "middle of the road" story .... some male size is more like the one of a horse .... but that is a matter of taste .... hours of never boring playing .... congrats ..... i really cannot wait for chapter 4 part ii

Super fantastic excellent game.
I don't mind the broken English at all, I see it a challenge to figure out what the dev means with his dialogues. The renders are excellent, the animations are top notch ! The way the dev adds sounds to his scenes and animations is very unique. It even gets me off by the sounds themselves and 1 picture... RPGM does not bother me either, there is almost no grinding, just go from 1 scene to the next straight forward. Btw : I use joystick to do the walking around RPGM style, makes it very easy to handle. The cheating concept is also unique, she uses a gay guy, ha !
So I'd say download quickly and play till you are sore ...

This isn't actually a rating for the thread but more for the game being discussed coz it's a doozie. erotic masterpiece outweighing the somewhat shoddy translation with nut crunching sexual deviancy. no blue balls here plus the bizarre situations that the characters find themselves in and better yet the dialogues to remedy the situation are hysterically put across in what has to be a genuine contender for the throne to the adult RPG kingdom.
