It seems they announced the sequel on their today.

It's called "Mari Edition", so probably just one out of the three planned girls for this release, but hey, at least they're releasing something, that's good enough for me. It says "Late December 2024, but it may be just the announcement date, I'm not that experienced with DLsite.

This new game looks insane, the waiting time worth it (the dev definitely cooked).

Scheduled release date is late December, so if Dev keeps the promise, it will be released in a few days

Hello everyone! This is Warumiyo.

It's been a while since our last update. As mentioned in our previous post, we're finally here with news about our game release.

Having focused solely on game development without any social media activity, we only recently saw all your messages of concern and encouragement. From our perspective, we kept pushing ourselves thinking "it'll be done this week," "it'll be done tomorrow," "it'll finally be done today..." Looking back, we realize we've been working almost inhumanely hard.

When we came to our senses, we realized we had spent the last 60 days without a single day off, following a brutal routine: 1. Wake up and go to the studio 2. Spend all day developing in front of the computer 3. Return home only when too exhausted to think 4. Sleep for 4-6 hours, then immediately return to the studio. It was truly hellish - we honestly felt like we were dying.

Originally, "The Training Massage Parlor" was planned to feature four heroines, but around early November, when the characters were only 60%, 40%, 40%, and 40% complete respectively, we realized this was unrealistic. We decided to focus on completing just one character by our initial late November deadline. We hastily posted on X about completing it "in a week" based on our original timeline - but that turned out to be far from reality.

This project taught us that even game developers can't always predict when a game will be finished. This game required extensive pose variations, which took considerable time to draw and modify, but the animation work especially demanded far more labor than anticipated. Many features didn't work as intended either. There were elements that, while not crucial to the overall game, required excessive work to implement - something to consider for future projects. For example, having to create separate animations for different amounts of fluids on the heroine's body matching her breathing motion for each pose. The pressure and overwork led to extreme stress, so we decided to postpone checking all comments and messages until development was complete.

We sincerely apologize for causing worry (Actually, we need to apologize to our parents and friends too - we haven't replied to them for dozens of days ).

As another year draws to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you. Your unwavering support and encouragement have been our driving force throughout these challenging times. Despite our limited communication, your patience and understanding have meant the world to us.

As December arrived and work seemed endless, we decided to enhance the quality of the single character route and added more interactions, in-game speech bubbles, non-massage content, and small Easter eggs. We hoped to finish by mid-December so people could enjoy the game during Christmas, but the workload was overwhelming. We ended up taking 2-hour naps on the studio floor during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In the final stretch, we had to compromise on our original quality goals and release a playable version, planning to update after taking some rest.

Moving forward, we'll provide monthly development updates around the end of each month. We feel we've neglected our supporters while focusing solely on development. While there are phases where we can't show visible progress, we'll try to maintain better communication with those awaiting our news.

For this game, we're planning January updates including more varied reactions from Mari, animation quality upgrades, and minor debugging. Looking ahead to 2025, we're committed to making it a super-productive year with regular updates and exciting new content. After about a week's rest (assuming no serious bugs), we'll resume working hard!

Starting with this game, we're implementing our own security system. Supporters will need to send us their hardware ID after downloading the game, and we'll provide an authentication key for their computer. You can save this key in a notepad or elsewhere and enter it when launching the game.

To all our wonderful supporters: may the new year bring you and your loved ones abundant health, love, and happiness. With these foundations, everything else will surely follow. You truly are the best, and we're incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing community standing with us.

We'll return in the new year with new games and updates. Thank you for staying with us through everything!

Best regards, Warumiyo"

Hardware ID is already a pretty common form of DRM / ban tool.
It's not impossible to spoof or bypass, it will just need someone to create a crack like any other DRM protected game.

I'm confused by their wording though. According to the dlsite page, it's just using playDRM which is already found in a bunch of games sold on dlsite. They make it sound like the key will be provided by themselves. But playDRM is supposed to grant you a key when you purchase the game.

Overall it's not a bad thing for them. I will assume with the success of the prior game, this game will sell more copies already + the wait time for someone to produce a working crack means more people will get impatient and just buy it.

Can confirm, when opening game, it opens to a screen with a hardware code and a text box to enter. You then send them the hardware code and they manually send back the key to go with it... Certainly not scaleable, but could just be that this is definitely still a pre-release feeling version, been running into quite a lot of glitches, + it doesn't seem possible to me to reach level 2 legit, luckily dev tools still work like in the first. I'll be optimistic and assume that a lot of the glitches I ran into at higher levels were due to using the dev tools, but definitely still some quirks that they need to work out.

Also a little annoying to have to put in the hardware code key every time you launch the game, luckily there is a reset function, so not too terrible.

btw when they sent the code did you input the code offline because if you did it offline that means theirs only 1 key or keys dont become invalidated after being used and the keys are stored somewhere in whatever part of the program checks for inputs and comparing them with the keys. If so gib file and gib key so i my 48 year old man ass can bust 32 nuts in 3 hours
