I heavily disagree with the reviewers that think open-world games are unnecessary and time consuming. Clearly, what the genre of this game is completely up to the developer and hating on a game simply because its open-world makes no sense; if you don't like these types of games then why play them in the first place? It's like someone that doesn't like visual novels actively searching for visual novels and giving them one star ratings because they don't like the genre.
For the people (SROscar) that say that players do not "play these games for the details" and it is therefore unnecessary to create these games is completely ignorant and shows your inability to comprehend how games are actually created. Speak for yourself and not for the entire community of players, because I, and many others do play these games for the details, unlike what you claim. Also, if it's taking you an incredibly long time to advance in the story so much so that you become bored, that is 100% your fault. This game is not hard. It is not slow. It is your fault as the player that you are not good at a porn game.
Rant over. Now for the actual review:
Master of Seduction is quite an ambitious game, especially for a solo developer. And while many games with visions this large do not always succeed, that does not make it impossible, and I hope that this game sees that success in its future. There is a great foundation for this game and I continue to be excited for each new release. The graphics are good and the game itself is well optimized. I was able to play the game on a shitty laptop that could honestly double as a toaster.
I like the events that are currently in place and the animations are good but not the best, which is fine with me and likely most players. The writing, however, could use some work. Aside from many grammar mistakes that are present throughout the story, it just doesn't really add up how you go from a complete stranger to receiving a blowjob from this maid you just met a day prior, with the only excuse from her being she "has her own needs" and "can be naughty too". There's a lack of logic between each major development in the character relationships that isn't necessarily game-breaking, but it does hurt immersion a bit. It's like the MC rolled a nat20 in charisma every single interaction of his life because in any other situation, if someone were to ask a woman they just met to display their boobs, it would not end in a blowjob, it would probably end in a restraining order.
Outside of the writing, there is also the issue of the favors you do. Personally, I like them, however there are some things I don't particularly enjoy. One is the garbage quest with Hannah. One of the locations that the garbage bags can spawn is inside of Jessica's room, however, if you don't have Jessica unlocked yet, it's impossible to pick up the garbage bag normally, because the room is locked, meaning you either have to restart the day or find a way to glitch and get the bag through the wall. Another is the blueberry quest for Jessica. Why is it so damn hard to find those blueberries? If the MC literally knows that there are blueberries in the garden and has decided that he wants to pick some to give to Jessica, shouldn't there be an indicator showing the player where the blueberries are? It's not a scavenger hunt like the missing item quest. We are literally told that there are blueberries in the garden, which implies that the MC knows where they should be. So why are they so difficult to find? An easy fix would just to add little arrows that point toward each blueberry to make the quest easier.
Other than those issues I highlighted, I really do like this game and would like to see more. Good work dev, I will be following for future updates.
