A familiar style of game, but with a breath of fresh air... cute elf boys. I love that we have a full-fledged, no bullshit H-game of mostly femboys as the characters, but despite so, I think the game's execution is still lacking to say the least.
Pros ++
Artstyle: This is honestly amazing. A pastel, vibrant artstyle is pretty uncommon in H-games. It fits with the whole femboy aethestic that T-Hoodie is going for, and I think it's genius. All of the enemy design is excellent, the levels looks great, the arts of game over screen among others is pretty nice. The only time I'd say this causes trouble is that the environment can blend in with the UI sometimes, so it's kinda hard to see information like your pleasure gauge. Other than that, I think the art is amazing.
H-content and animations: This is also easily one of the best part of this game. Basically all of it is hot as hell, very well animated and it is one of the best femboy H-game scenes for you. There's also not a lot of clone scenes, or scenes that are too similar to each other, so it's not boring or repetitive. I also find it to be somewhat "innovative" too. Most of the time, I see the character we're controlling accidentally bumps into an enemy, and the next nanosecond they pull out BDSM equipment out of thin air and your character changed outfit with a little cat girl ear on for some reason. Max the Elf, instead, plays out a little scene transitioning to the H-scene itself, which is basically a portrayal on how he got into that situation in between the walking into the enemy and the sex scene. So it doesn't feel bullshit when Max gets hit by an enemy, somehow turns into a female and get double penetrated with that enemy and another one that spawns in front of him, cause all of it is played out. I think it's a smart move, and I think if games add this little bit in, it could make the experience a lot cooler (and hotter).
Soundtrack: I think the music is great, the OST are fun to listen to, and it's not boring like most other H-games. I would unironically turn the menu's music on and bop whenever I want to.
The story: It's not completed, but for what is already there, I think it has potential to be good. Of course it has a rather simple premise, but the character you go around and meet over the course of the game is fun, and it has much lighter tone than most other games of the same genre, so I don't think high stakes is needed here. I think it'll be, at the very least, enjoyable to most of you.
--Cons
Gameplay: I think this game suffers a lot in terms of gameplay and mechanics.
-The combat in this game is pretty much unreliable, except for slide (down + attack). The normal attack is very slow, I count somewhere between 2-3 seconds per attack, and despite its range, its speed limits the use of this move a lot, rendering attacking almost useless except for some enemy that requires attack. Slide, though, is excellent as it goes very far and instant-kills any enemy in its range, basically stronger than most side-scroller H-games' slides. Now don't get cocky, there's a large cooldown each slides that is attached to a bar, which I think is very smart way of balancing the player's power. There's also 3 bombs to clear the screen you can use per level, but I think if you can bomb the enemy while being captured in a H-scene would have been amazing.
-Movement: Now because of the unreliable normal attack and limited pool of moves that actually helps you, T-Hoodie is probably encouraging a more evasive game perhaps. But the thing is, movement in this game is almost sluggish. You walk slowly, you can duck and you can slide, but it's more offensive and locked behind a cooldown, your jump is somewhat good and that's all. Enemies that requires (or is encouraged to) duck means you'll have to wait for them to pass you whenever you don't have/don't want to use slide. It doesn't feel very fun to move around. Just increasing your movement speed and proportionally increases the stage's length will make the game a lot more fun (in my opinion).
- Enemy: on a mechanical level, I think individually, each enemy is very well designed. Although, most of them isn't very clear on how to be dealt with. Many encounters are mostly memory based, you gotta have to be hit once to know when to dodge, when to attack, what exactly to do the next time you meet them. This uncertainty is further magnified by your variety of unclear options. With how weak my attack is, it feels like the game is not trying to enforce you on one way to defeat the enemy, even though there are situations where it's only attack or dodge. If attack was stronger and still fails to save Max from one situation, or if there are clearer ways to express that, then I think the game is much better. Also, the enemy can be very cluttered sometimes, due to the vast amount of different ways to avoid each one of them, most of the time it can be hard or impossible when there are multiple opponents on the same screen.
-Difficulty: this game isn't hard on the execution side, so for most of the duration, the game doesn't get substantially harder if you don't get hit. However, if you're hit, you'll have to mash between A and D to escape. Guess what? That mash is harder as you progress through each level, so the game gets harder at that instead of requiring you to get better.
Miscellaneous: I don't like the animations outside of sex scenes in this game. I know that T-Hoodie is focusing on sex animations more, and it shows. But the combat and movement among others is really disappointing and I hope that T-Hoodie at least adds a bit more frames to things outside of sex scenes. I also don't like how you can't skip or give up on non-enemy's H-scenes like the boss's H-scene when Max is hit, or when Max and Vick have sex to recover 1 corruption. It just makes the game unnecessarily more sluggish than it already has been.
-- Conclusion ++
I think this game has potential to be very good. If T-Hoodie ever get around improving the gameplay rather than adding more scenes to the game, I can see this becoming a much better version of itself than what it is today. For now though, I will give this game a 8/10. The femboy stuff was super hot, but it won't excuse the below average gameplay that it has.
