True I guess but you haven't seen the "Real" or "Original" Maya yet so how do you know how this Maya compares?
If you have the time play the original trilogy. It's available on phone, PC or just use an emulator like Drastic to play the original games.

I have a programmer friend who works alongside me on the more complicated coding stuff, and I've recently started working with a really helpful and talented artist who did the Rosey Thorne model + more, but yes I do around 95%+

Isn't Iris still free at this stage because the game takes place before the end of game 3? Of course, she still couldn't logically appear in-person because it would break continuity and I am fairly sure this game follows that in non-easter eggs(Easter eggs being optional posters and such).
