This game is not good. Straight up, 2/5. Now, with most games you'd expect them to work, right? Pop in the disk, open the program, whatever it is... But Resta is apparently so good at engineering that you can't even start up her game from just clicking the application! Nah, you gotta install some .dlls beforehand. Like dude, I haven't even opened the game and it requires me to do some more bullshit, really?
Of course, I've had to install RPG Maker VX Ace before, but at least that's easy to find and it works for pretty much every other H-Game that runs on RPG Maker, so it's like a one and done thing. But for Resta, she's an exclusive girl. She wants some random ass .dlls that you gotta manually find and then you're only going to use them for this one game specifically with no other use. ...'Kay.
Once you do actually manage to open the game though, you are treated to some big budgets. Mmm... I do have to say I do actually like Resta and Curie's designs, even if they are a little goofy. Mostly because big budgets. Real big. They also have animated and voice acted cutscenes, which are neat, until you realize that this game starts chugging. Lagging. My goodness, it never stops. Never. You will have input delays constantly, and yes, even though you had to go through the initial hazing ritual of finding the specific .dlls to install the game, she will still act up and CRASH. I swear it's like a guaranteed double crash on the last stage of the game.
I've noticed that the game doesn't even use up a lot of CPU or RAM on my computer, and it still wants to chug. I've had Koikatsu, had YouTube running in the background (on Google Chrome, nonetheless), had scriptplayer playing as well to connect to a toy, and yeah... My PC is fine with running all that at the same time. But this ONE GAME makes it audibly whir the fans. Don't know how to feel about that.
Be prepared for noticeable loading screen times for... Every. Single. Menu. You also CANNOT REMAP THE CONTROLS in the options menu. You have to press F1 and manually change it in the game engine.
As for the game itself, it's not very fun to play through. It's basically a worse version of Mega Man. Same gist, you know? Get through a stage, jump and shoot, beat a boss at the end. Once you beat the boss, you unlock their attack and some bosses have a specific weakness to one of these boss weapons. You won't need that, though. If you just stick to the electric beam for the flying guy (since that's his weakness), and bouncing bomb for everything else, you're set. This bomb, by the way, is OP as fuck. It deals like 4x the damage of your regular shot for just one button press, and the fact that it comes out at an upward angle while bouncing means you can use it to snipe out enemies that are in cheap placements. Charging your weapon is also less DPS than just spamming the attack button, unless you buy the upgrade, but like, why? Why make charging it worse than just spamming at that point? There's also a lot more weird nitpicks I have about just playing the game itself... Like in most other platformers, you can still jump if you're at the edge of a platform, right? Like, this was done even back in 1985 with Super Mario... Can't do that here! You better pray you bought the double jump, bucko.
It's probably better that way, though. Since the platforming in this game isn't even particularly hard. There's also only 4 enemy types in the whole game as well, and you just... Jump and shoot! That's the way to beat all of them. Jump and shoot! Throw a bomb if they're not in your line of sight. Or even if they are, since you know... The bomb is OP as fuck.
The H itself is also pretty well done. I mean, the static images. I got a little excited, a little tingle in my winkle down there when I noticed that there was animation in cutscenes. And yes, the H-scenes are also animated! But not animated well. It's very easy to see tentacles and fingers kinda just clip out of the vaginal or mouth boundaries and eughhh... Did they not review their animations after making it? There's also jiggle physics (yay!) but they don't make a lick of sense. Resta or Curie would just be sitting there, tied up, yeah? And then BAM they'd do a jiggle out of nowhere. Okay, I get it. It's anime, even breathing sometimes makes it jiggle, and that's cool and all, but... They ain't even breathing! It's just random. They'd get pushed down, and you'd think because of how physics work, the titty would jiggle upwards? Nah. The titty follows whatever direction it wants to go in. The animation in the H-scenes are a downgrade from the static images. How do you even do that? That's impressive, in a way.
May I direct you to screenshot 18? Yeah, the one where Curie is giving the dude a nursing handy? In that scene, even in the screenshot you'll notice that he ain't even sucking on the titty correctly! It's fine when you turn OFF the animation, though. Like, he actually does it properly, what the fuck? My personal headcanon is that the guy(s) animating the original artwork for the game did not give a fuck or talk with the artist because there's little tidbits where it's just outright WRONG. I mentioned the clipping, right? Once you notice it once, you'll keep seeing it in every other scene. Feel like one of those conspiracy theorist guys that see Illuminati triangles everywhere now.
I highly suggest just getting the full CG scenes and not playing the game itself to collect the scenes. Sure, each stage+boss will run you about 10 minutes, and there's 5 total, so it shouldn't take that long to get all of them... In theory. But the game chugs. It's very laggy. The in-game timer will say it took you 7 minutes to beat a stage, but that's 8 in real time. Kinda nasty.
On the topic of time being wasted, collecting the scenes are an absolute pain. You have to lose. I thought we're past this point for H-games! It's a 2023 release... This shit got old in like 2012. And it's not like winning will let you get the scene. Nope! You think it'd be that easy? Hell nah! You already did the hazing ritual for installing the game to actually work properly, right? Now get to work and lose to each boss 4 times to unlock the scenes. Oh, and then also beat the bosses 2 different ways with this one move that you gotta be point blank to hit (one normally and the other way after using their weakness) to get an additional 2 scenes!
Yeah man it was not fun going through 6 loading screens per boss after I beat them for the first time to collect the CGs like I did. Please, save yourself the trouble. Just get the CGs from a full save.
My final score is a 2/5. The art is very appealing, has huge budgets! But it's all a trick, you see. Just like a cute Hello Kitty girl, she looks super cute... But once you're in there, your life will get ruined. You can't fix this one.
