So, i tried to download Breeder's Haven, a 1.33 GB file from Mega. While Mega did its thing, Firefox' memory use started rising, peaking at 2GB and then splitting on 2 firefox processes (it has 6...). The higher one was using 1.6GB and the lower one was using 1.4 GB. 3GB ram being used to download a 1.33 GB file.

Why does it do that, how do i make it stop and am i the only one who thinks that it is a very, very dumb choice to handle it like this?

If you don't want to download a download app, Chrome shouldn't have the same memory restriction.
