You know, this game is genuinely competing with LOK tribes as to who can complete chapter 2 the first. And remember: LOK tribes hasn't even formulated the end of the beginning of chapter 1, let alone the middle act of chapter 1.

It's funny to think how much better this game would be if it was made in something with a better skip/"go back to main menu" function. Like remake it in Ren'py and it would have been so much better. The sluggish nature of it plus the inability to rewind (especially after a skip) makes it impossible to enjoy at your pace instead of the game's (and that's really important for porn games where the intent is to get your players' off).

Imagine having to pay (WAY TOO MUCH) for this game when it has bad skipping and no save/load. The most important thing about NSFW games is letting players go at their pace. That's like, the whole POINT of these games.

Is "Save/Load/Skip/Rollback" not default functions of renpy? Are you saying the dev deliberately remove those functions?
Or it's build on some random ass engine that no one else uses?

Tho There's exception some game doesn't allow Player to manually save due to gameplay mechanic (cough, "worst dating sim").

Just noticed it's the dev of "Notes from the Cape", well they don't really have a good name for being pro-customer.

It seems to use the same engine as CoC2/TiTS based on the files. "Locales", "Resources", and "Swiftshader" are the 3 folders within both ML and CoC2/TiTS.

Unlike CoC2/TiTS though, yes the dev seems to have removed the ability to save for some reason. If I had to guess why, it's probably because they couldn't figure out how to keep "found" routes; like if you reloaded a save before finishing a route that you just saw, it wouldn't save the route. THAT, or the dev really cares about people not cheesing and playing the game his way, which is like the absolute worst shit-tier mentality to have as a developer for porn games where the goal is to get people off and keep them wanting more so they continue to pay you more.

Like I can't imagine paying for this game when it's so overpriced and barely functions. It's easily one of the worst-functioning and most-frustrating text-based games I've played.

CoC2/TiTS doesn't seem difficult to Mod/Code. The Fact they hvn't sort the Basic Function out this late into development, shows they don't really care about player experience.

Either the Dev is from a different gaming culture we don't understand, or they hav simp supporters don't ask questions.
(If you ever only get fed shit, you won't know it taste bad ;))
All their games are overpricing and mid to bad in quality.

TBH They are entitled to price whatever they want (the market will decide if it's OK), and it seems their pricing strategy is working (3 series entries under their name)
Look at Lust from Uncommon Breed, or those Mobile Gacha :KEK:

The game seems to have been written with the Electron framwork which is based on JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Pretty much the same with TiTS JS and COC2. But you have to code everything yourself, including save functionalities.

I bet they did not use Renpy because with that assets can easily be datamined. Here the PNG images and even the Javasscripts are encrypted! The only thing readable is the simple JS code of the framework itself.

Is see hints about base64:
Code:
//# sourceMappingURL=data:application/json;base64,
I agreee with the sloppy and slow behavior of the app though. It just feels awful booting it up and wasting time getting to the main menu.

Not sure if there's still Mod in the other thread, so re-post here:
Someone kindly shared the whole thing from the studiou: Memory Leak, Willy Bear Beach, Willy Bear Beach 2, and Notes From the Cape.
You can find "WBTV Memory Leak WIN 2.3" there.
Let’s try this again:
Willy Bear Beach Collection
(Sorry for the padding)
Also they are really overpricing their "games",
Not sure why they'd provide the "cheaper option" archive, but on itch it's like a joke :KEK:
no problem
Basically on the Artdecade website you can pay the monthly subscription or a one time fee for access to the archive of all the games for 15 for a constant subscription or 20 for a one time subscription which isn’t mentioned anywhere besides the site sign up page and to my knowledge they are unavailable on the Patreon, which why have a Patreon with limited access to stuff when you have a whole subscription based website

On itchi.io the games are priced as:
The first game is 15
second is 20
Every 10 Capes are bundled in volumes for 30 / 90 total
(Total bull because each can from a 5 minute sex scene to a 20 minute lore dump)
I put the weird card game Kabu in it and it’s like Patreon/site exclusive
