no matter what I try I can't seem to find the "message this user" button. I have seen the screenshot of where it should be but its just missing for me, pleas help and let me know where this thread should be if I misplaced it. thank you.

You have to write three (I believe) forum posts before you can set a signature and stuff. And it might be the same for conversations.
