Playtime: 4-5 hours
Overall: Some fun ideas, some bad ones. Could definitely have used a bit of polish to at least avoid some inconsistencies. Note that the current MTL was made with v1.0 so there are bugs which were already present in the base game (in addition to any other bugs the MTL may have caused, though I only encountered ones which are listed as fixed in the official patch notes).
Good:
- Saki is cute. While nipple piercings aren't my speed, her reactions and gyaru style are good.
- I like Saki's cheekiness. It's mesugaki though, so that's expected.
- The VA does a good job. Saki displays a variety of emotions throughout the course of the game, and the VA represents them well. There will even be differences based on whether Saki or the opponent is initiating the sex act. You may want to turn down the bgm though since the default levels aren't well balanced.
- Somewhat humorous. This isn't a comedy per-se, but it's amusing when Saki complains about a game being pay-to-win or when an accomplice goes "Hold up, what you're suggesting is straight-up crime."
- Insert songs are effectively used. The theme on the main menu is a bop (always a plus), and the dev uses some non-stock songs at certain points. It's a welcome effort. The VA hums Greensleeves during the shower scene, which is also an amusing touch.
- Saki's reasons for wanting money are well grounded. Games often go for a nonsensical debt repayment plot, but Saki just wants cash for games and accessories.
Bad:
- Always losing to cock. There's never a dude with God's Finger or Gilded Tongue, it's always just a big cock. Some variety would've been nice, or even just Saki having well-founded confidence (she's already quite experienced at the start of the game).
- Big, small, they're all the same. It's kinda hard to get behind Saki's declarations of cock size when the same art is used for all of them.
- Sex stats don't seem to do much. Lewdness is needed to get to the final act, but the others don't have a defined use. They might affect how much damage you deal in battle, but you'll be skipping battles and hacking in lewdness before long anyway.
- Battle is sloooow, which is additionally annoying since the final act is locked behind lewdness and lewdness is increased by actually-fighting the battles. It would be okay if you could turn off battle animations so each turn didn't take 9 seconds, but this ain't Pokemon. Stuns are also annoying. Saki gets one, which never seemed to work despite having a 2/3 chance, while the enemies' stun can easily lead to you sitting around for half a minute since there's no turn limit to its duration and instead it's just a flat 50% to end whenever Saki takes damage.
- You don't always earn money from battles. You'll always get into fights, but only earn money during certain sections of the story. The game would have more of an rpg-feeling if you could skip more events by simply having a pocket full of cash from all the random battles, or if you could do some small prostitution while seeking out the big spenders.
- There's no modularity to the skill tree. There's not really any point to the skill tree since you can only learn the skills in a predetermined order. It's also not that inspired. Saki is already supposed to be good at sex, so why does she need to learn sex to use it in battle? I would've preferred some more advanced techniques, or the ability to specialize.
- Narrative inconsistencies. While the game is tagged as loli on DLsite, you look at it and think "Isn't she a teen?" Sure, Saki doesn't have hentai-sized tits, but she's a far cry from flat. And has nipple piercings. And non-childish style. Teens are fair game when it comes to mesugaki. There's a scene where the guy wants to use condoms but Saki says she's on the pill. Later on she claims to not have even started menstruating?? Seriously dev, pick a lane and stay in it. A later scene has a mid-scene transition to a condom-belt... despite there having been no condoms in the scene thus far and again, Saki hates condoms.
- There are two endings: bad and "normal". I say "normal" since I would've strongly preferred a Saki-as-dom ending instead of the Saki-as-dumb one we get, but you can't really expect anything else from wakarase-themed works.
Medium:
- As mesugaki-enjoyers know, titles with わからせ in them tend end up rape/rapey. If you're here for femdom you'll be disappointed; it's all domination loss. You might have hope in the beginning since Slap and Ballbusting are skills you start with, but you really will just be disappointed.
- There's only one male VA. It's a generic "fat pervert" style, but I would've really liked some variety since there's supposed to be a variety of enemies (playboy, security guard, etc) and it's a stark contrast to the effort where the female VA is concerned.
- There's an event where Saki is challenged to make a guy cum in 1 minute. Unfortunately, it's not based on her mouth stats or adjusting your technique in response to in-game prompts. Instead, you need to read the included walkthrough since there's no way you'll guess the exact permutation you need (lick, deep, lick, half, deep). Winning/losing makes only slight changes to the conversations, but I really would've liked to see a more robust, points-based system which was used more than once.
- The dress-up aspect is very minor. A few headbands and hair, with no choice in which order you unlock them and no reflection in the scenes. Ah wait, panties change too, but they're randomly assigned and also absent from the scenes.
- The prices are silly. It's not difficult to go online and look up the prices of various sex services, so it's weird that one guy pays 70k for sex (extremely high), another 1k for a blowjob (extremely low), and the "very rich" man complains that 30k is more than a high-class brothel (it would be about normal for a top girl at a regular brothel). Sure, other things could be factored in too for an utmost approximation of realism (geographic location, time spent, time of day, additional services, number of ejaculations, Saki's age, freelancer vs pro) and we know no one really cares about that in porn games, but those little things can really help a game stand out.
