Have you not watched news lately about payment processors like Mastercard, Visa, Paypal and Strife blacklisting adult content?

Basically they have a line in their ToS stating that they can refuse or block their services for anything they deem a potential threat to their brand's reputation.
Based on that line they told Steam, Itch and probably other hosts of adult content that they will block those companies from receiving or/and doing any payment via their payment networks.

As a result those companies blocked access to any adult content as a precaution to not be cut off from those payment processors.
Itch for example unlisted/unindexed ALL adult games on their website and has to now individually check the content of any game before unblocking it.

I think the same as with Steam and Itch is also happening with Patreon.
So it is not the creator / dev that has no intention of continuing their work but them being unable to host the game anywhere or/and to receive payment for their work.

I know about the news, but it's a shame that such a good game has been discontinued for so long, I feel sorry for the developers who have worked hard to create this masterpiece game
