You do realise "soccer" is not an americanism. It originated in the UK in the 1880's. It was widely used instead of football in the UK for a long time.

really bad about the game:
- not being able to rename Mike
- Some sounds are REALLY loud and bust the boxes, even the sliders are nearly set to zero
- also why the need for 7 different sound channels? REALLY ???
seems like really bad coded - advice to rework before people going to trash rate the game because of that.
Put a renaming option into the game for better immersion.
But most of all: ADJUST the sound volumes!!! Seems there are just some random soundfiles put together without being leveled and balanced compared to each other
PS:
get rid of that damn "Storyteller" - people want to immerse into the game and feel to be the MC. All Storyteller crap together with not being able to rename MC makes this game boring and blunt. At least i may speak for myself that i want to feel like i am the MC instead of ongoing being told what happened, what currently happens and most of all what i (as MC) have to think or feel - i want to feel and experience it myself.

What kind of bugs or issues did you run into with coding? Some sounds are intentionally louder; it’s not a bug or anything like that. The reason for having seven channels is that some scenes use that many sounds.

So why calling your game like this if it's not it main focus? It's misleading, such as not having the milf tag after two updates.

no scene uses 7 sounds at same time
Also i didn't say anything about bugs, just that even i got all sliders nearly full to the left, some sounds really bust boxes while others aren't noticable anymore.
There is no other game i know that uses 7 sound channel - really not - there's no need to open a full channel for every fucking soundfile you got into the game. You can't tell me that there is any scene which has 7 sounds active at once.
But whatever - your game - your decision - i just pointed out massive flaws in my opinion instead of reviewing your game in that early state. Take from it whatever you like and adjust stuff or not. I am not telling you how to script your game, just giving my honest opinion. If i would review your game right now, it would be 1 star, maybe 2

That was trash. I just could not follow what was even happening in the first few minutes. I had to give up.
Nothing about it was enjoyable.

More specifically, the British themselves called it soccer up until the 1960s (give or take), when the lower class poors threw a tantrum over it because they decided "soccer" was too "posh" and upper-class, while "football" was the working man's version of the name. At which point they went from using both more or less interchangeably to flipping their shit whenever someone used the term "soccer".
When you yourself have been using the term for 70+ years, you kind of forfeit the right to complain when other people don't want to play along when you arbitrarily decide to change it. Especially if those people have been using the alternative term for their own sport for nearly a hundred years.
If people really want to be pedantic about it, there's technically no such thing as "football" at all. There's only Association Football (hence "soccer), Rugby Football, and Gridiron Football. Without the defining adjective, the term "football" is too broad to refer to any one specific sport (hell, even "Kickball" would technically qualify as "football").
