Ren'Py - Completed - Milfy City [v1.0e] [ICSTOR]

For a game that has been in limbo for a few years now - Only brought back to life to avoid Patreon cutting them off. There is a stark lack of innovation, creativity, and foresight.

Large swathes of content that drew in the crowds, initially, has been cut from the game. Making Milfy City a hallowed out shell of its former self. A buggy mess of a game with hardly any content actually added - Not for the time spent making the 1.0 update.

It should have been better. But the renders, the writing and the coding is just poor.

If you like incest games, many others have come a long way since Milfy City.

A sad end to what was once one of the best games available. It's both disappointing that this ended up being the result of years that an update was being promised and the fact that this is what this once very good game turned into. As things are it might have been better if it just ended with an 'Abandoned' tag instead perhaps.

Used to be a fan of this game but replaying it in 2023, it's a clown show. Absolute horrible, old saves dont work so we have to go through this maze of bugs with a terrible sandbox system, it's not a easy one to navigate through. Milfy City has 0 meaningful choices so it may as well just have been a VN.

The animations and renders is basically the same, mediocre right now.

The only positive in this is Caroline, but even then it's not that great of a romance path. She is hot but used by others before so... MC is also a ugly and skinny creep with terrible personality and haircut.

The developer is also a *** and a scammer, when you cant think he can get any worse he just keep with more ****. Its bad enough with missed deadlines and excuses but with the final update release: it doesnt have a harem ending or pregnancy route or any content with Caroline like expected. Thats just a crime...

Played this years ago. Signed up to the site today just to play this again and basically not much is new or at least it didn't feel so. It's renders are ok, the main character looks like a complete fucking creep the women are very attractive. the story is typical VN nonsense hot woman attracted to the male equivalent of Susan Boyle for.... well reasons. I did not find anything to grab on to and like.

Maybe my taste has changed but I am shocked how much I disliked this. I was playing in the hope it got better at some point in the story it never did. Outside the woman it just doesn't really feel like it does much to hold your interest.

Ok, I'm doing this review mostly because there is a lot of angry people spreading missinformation and flat up lies. While they have their reasons to be angry with a dev who didn't release anything sustancial for 4 years, while saying he was working, if you actually came here to know what's new don't trust anyone who seems angry.

The new update is huge, the dev team promote it saying it has more than 550 new animations and it's true, I count them and the number is correct. Along with easily 4.000 renders that makes it the biggest update that this game as ever seen and one of the biggest for any game in this site. While it's not 4 years of work it is easily 1 years of work even by the standards of the most hard working devs here. This ammount of work covers around 40 different scenes covering every girl in this game with the exception of Carolina, including a lot of seconday girls and some who didn't even got a scene before, most notably Judy and Lily.

The rest of the complains goes around NTR, as usual, wich is insignificant in size and non canonical since it's not part of the story but rather a few reward renders in a special gallery.

It has a lot of bugs though I didn't encounter anything game breaking. And it lack two important pieces of content that are alledgely be included as bonus, the harem and pregacy endings. Not the best idea to trust on the dev's word thought.

Besides that the quality on writing and art is the same as usual and the update have all the content than the fans has been waiting for years (with the exception of more Caroline). Not enough to clean the bad reputation of Icstor but a sign that the dev still can deliver amazing content in quality and quantity.

It's far better than what everyone thought it was going to be 1 or 2 months ago and way better than what we all thought it could be a year and a half ago when we gave this game for death.

Edit: Some people may not known what canonical means, but if it doesn't happen on the story means it's not. The same way if a dev makes a special render of the main character in the space you may think he is canonically an astronaut, but guess what, he is not.
In that regard to add extra rewards wich NTR content is quite common in many games including this one, it's an old feature and there was never complain about it.

Damn shame how a good game got censored this hard but also dropped its ball with the "extras" scenes. I was surprised to see it having an update since it was abandoned 3-4 years ago so I really was happy to play it again.

Before this “final version”, it was a solid 3 / 5 for me, though the sandbox was a bit annoying but with the hints system from a mod it was enjoyable since the models and renders were good + Animations were good too.
Story is a nothing-burger but it delivered what we, or at least for me, wanted. And this was your typical MC corrupting the girls around him and ending in a harem.

However, with this final update the game has reached its final stage and it's VERY very disappointing. No harem end, no Solo end for any girl either…it just stops. What surprised me is how buggy it is, but thats probably because the whole incest thing got removed (you heard me right) and the code wasnt polished enough. This, since it was one of the main selling points in this whole game, but also with this final version most of the naughty scenes are “extras”, which sadly are NTR by a black guy…

So personally I'm very disappointed with how it ended. What makes me angry is that despite all that there is a DLC planned… I see why people have a negative view of the Developer.

2 years ago this game was one of the all time greats, it's a shadow of it's former self now. Filled with bugs, which considering this has apparently gone through Alpha testing is absurd. The "update" contains minimal additional content, as well as back tracking existing story elements, if you want to experience what this game could have been then do yourself a favour and try to find a copy of version 0.6C or maybe even 0.71B.

This game was actually pretty good before the EXTREMELY long hiatus, but since the "update" it actually feels like a downgrade. You get forced into paths/kinks that are NOT enjoyable, most of the good features and story were gutted and changed in a very bad way and it feels really unpolished and grindy. If I were to put it into words, it feels like before, this game had a "soul" but it was ripped out and dumbed down. The characters don't really feel like they have any personality now.
Forcing players down specific paths/kinks is always a bad way to go. There should ALWAYS be path choices, for example, a dom AND sub path of the PLAYERS CHOICE. The MC also feels like he has been made dumber than he originally was, which was already a VERY low bar, as well as being a power bottom/sub now. All in all, waiting so long for such a truly massive disappointment like this is quite frustrating.

The game is pretty good, amazing art and scenes, interesting cast of characters, you get involved in the story. The main character is lacking in personality, and the game movement arround the map is decent at best. Aside the art this game is pretty mid.

Milfy City could be in the top 10-15 right now but lazyness makes this game ain't worth it, in its time of creation the render is nice but the story is somewhat passable, tho in my opinion this game is outdated in story, static image and animation. While characters on the other hand, only two character is only good in my eyes, Caroline and Linda. Other characters or LI's is forgettable and not worth much in my opinion. Game is pretty grindy too, less talk more clicks.

In today's age of AVN, the standard is getting pretty high, back then the render image of this game is good but now with lots of competition, the quality is only normal, still not bad. I'm disappointed that this game could be like the big top AVN today or the Classic of AVN's but the community says otherwise, lot of potential is wasted and the competition is getting tough with all those other talented developers and writers, they make this game look like "washed" or "overrated".

Updates and developer side -
ICSTOR could cement his legacy as one of the best dev in the world of AVN but all of us, the fans, the haters and the whole community says lot of badshit here, that says a lot. Hopeful that this game will be finish some time but the time elapsed and ICSTOR is already at the bottom pit of the heart of all hopefuls that want to finish this game.

Do I recommend this game? Nope, but if you're horny enough then why not, tho after finishing.. you'll be asking why you wasted your time here.

Very good project, I just finished the last update and I don't know why it was abandoned, it really left me wanting more. But it still manages to be exquisite in what it sets out to do. But the lack of updates makes me sad.

I'm not much of a story guy (that's my roommate's expertise.) Though I do appreciate some decent gameplay.
So this rating (like my others) will be mostly on fapability:

Scenes : Excellent and varied
Fappable: Yeup. I was sad to see it go. Still worth a download for what it is.
The Problem : We all know the dev has abandoned the game, and ran off with everyone's money.

Visuals
The Visuals are really good for a game of that age, even better than probably most of the games you´ll see today. The Daz models are not that special but they´re rendered really well.

Gameplay
I first played this game years ago and revisited it some days ago with a walkthrough, even though I normally don´t play abandoned games.
The gameplay feels aged with it´s sandbox morning/afternoon/evening/night cycle. It´s not an issue with the walkthrough, but if you see it from a base game perspective, it could be very annoying to find the right time of day to trigger a scene.

Sex Scenes/Animations
Again, the animations for their time are very good, but they are nothing to brag about in 2022/2023. The Sex Scenes are not fully animated, but only short sequences are, that run in a loop.

Story
The Story is kinda boring and too fast-paced imo. One thing that bothers me is when you´re finished with one girl, she pretty much disappears from your life.

Content
There´s a good amount of content but you´ll see that there is still a lot of content missing, because the Dev didn´t bother to finish the game.
Sometimes you´ll see messages that certain content hasn´t been added yet, or you will see it during night visits, when you still can´t fuck the girls, even though you fucked them dozens of times in the story.

Developer
The Developer seems to have a history of abandoning his games.
But not only that, he will promise updates but never delivers on them for years. How that is not a reason for sites like Patreon to ban him is still a mystery. Maybe because after years of lying to his supporters and never delivering on his promises he still has thousands of supporters that are still putting money in his pockets and Patreons.

Conclusion:
If I look at the base game I´ll give it 3* max because there are things in it that feel dated. That being said it´s still a decent game but it being abandoned and the fraudulent behavior of the Developer drags it down to 2*.

Great Story, great Animations, some funny scenes - round about an excellent game to play. Linda and Caroline are the hottest wives ever. I hope there comes an update in the future. And more hot animated scenes with other characters like Lily ,Macy and Isla. At the End there could be a foursome with Linda, Caroline and Sara ;-)

I remember a review written by another person about one of ICSTOR's games and looking back on it now, I completely agree with that person.

ICSTOR makes some really good games, one of my favs being Milf's Control. This game has some great story and the artwork is nice. But the creator does what he always does. Once the MC's mother has been fucked, the production of the game slows down to an almost halt. Any communication is gone and an ending is rushed out.

This game is good and worth a play, it's just a real shame that it was abandoned the way it was and that we never got a real ending to the story.

If you go back and look at some of ICSTOR's old games, you'll see some really good early work and you'll see the tropes that I've mentioned above. Once the MC's mother has been fucked, you'll see the game seemingly close to it's end and have it feel somewhat rushed.

I recommend you try this, but don't put too much into the whole thing, as for many of us who waited months going onto years and so forth, this will ultimately break your heart and remain another great What If.

Characters were awesome especially sarah was so sweet and the classic ren'py style captured me.

Hats off to ICSTOR for creating one of the hottest moms on this site. Not a braindead slut, but a mature and self-confident successful woman, with a just a bit too much love for her only son

As for the rest of LIs the stories are too cliche with occational kinks thrown here and there. In 2022, competitors have so much more to offer, so no reason to bother with this one imo.

Story- VN Incest sandbox, the teacher storyline is nice but the rest of it is forgettable or kinda bland outside of the poorly wallpapered over incest kink

Since I’ve played it it has both become abandoned and slipped down the ratings significantly. Unforunate for the people who liked it, but I had no intentions of giving it another go.

This VN/Game when it first came out was all about the quality renders. Now there are a 100+ VN's that blow this VN away in renders and animations.
The story is nothing to write home about.
The gameplay is now dated.

If I were rating this VN purely on the merits of the VN that is finished, I would rate it as average. However this VN has been Abandoned and for me - every game that is Abandoned should get a 1 star rating.
What would you rate a meal at a restaurant if it came out only half cooked? What would you rate a movie or a novel if it just stopped somewhere in the middle?

Surprised that i never reviewed this when i first played it several years ago. Decided to replay this and it holds up surprisingly well.

While the visuals are on the dated side they all still look better than 75% of DAZ games out there and the posing and framing of the renders themselves is all again better than most DAZ games. The animations for as old as they are are also still better than what you see in probably 90% of DAZ games and they are all custom animations as well, not the canned ones you see over and over again in a lot of cut and paste DAZ VNs

The game is competently written and the characters are all decently engaging with the sister Caroline probably being the most well done and fleshed out. There isn't really a main narrative so it's more like a bunch of stories that weave in and out of one another. Some of them are done better than others and there are some humorous and engaging moments. Overall the story does enough to lend the porn in the game some weight that makes the scenes more arousing

The porn is great, the scenes are well written, well animated and well framed visually and there is a good amount of them. There isn't a terrible amount of variety as far as kinks are concerned, there's a good deal of male dom a bit of fem dom and then all your standard stuff.

I see lots of complaints about the game being grindy and it's kind of nonsense tbh, especially if you use the mod. The game is a sandbox and as a result you need to go places to unlock events and sometimes you need to wait a day or two, these things take maybe a minute or two. It's not really grindy at all compared to some sandboxes or say an RPGM game.

Finally the elephant in the room with this game, the dev. Frankly he deserves the scorn he's received if not maybe the level of vitriol and it all could have been avoided if he had been more transparent, but i'm reviewing the game not the dev and even if what is here is never finished, this game is still better than most of the DAZ games on this site.

recommended for pretty much everyone, with the caveat that it will likely never be finished. Especially recommended for fans of the incest genre as it is a classic
