I don't know that I've actually seen this one, but it looks okay from a glance, despite a poor average rating. How does it play? I'm going to download it to try out regardless.

I've actually been playing the bugfix today. It allows for more freedom about choosing who you want or not. Although the variable pathing seems to be a bit weird. Turn down certain scenes and get knocked off the harem path, then say yes to a different girl and you are back on the harem path. And it keeps knocking you on or off it, so it's a bit strange. Have to see how it develops in future updates.

Looking at some of the old images I really can't wait to be done so I can finally start to rework quiet a lot of scenes.

It could have been one of my very favorite games. Really nice LIs, nothing at all was forced. Variables and gameplay was really good. Choices mattered as you built the story.

Then the Dev just got sick of it and wanted to do something else and tacked on an end. No matter what you chose, you end up alone and kicked out of college for 2 things you could actually choose not to do. A quick and crappy 100 render scene. I've seen devs tack on endings before, but this was the absolute worst. Only 1 of the MG even got a lewd scene, though there is quite a few with side girls.

I've got his new game on my list to play, but it doesn't give me any desire to get into it anytime soon. A proper finish would probably have had it in my top 25 or at least a 5. Instead it just left a really sour taste in my mouth.

Most look OK to me (but I'm not that fussed on quality), I must make a note to upgrade some of them to later renders with the next update. (like Linda - who looks quite different now).

I was wondering about this.

Your stuff is stunning but you'll see flaws because it's your art and you'll always want to create something beautiful.

I'm at the basic level of creating right now, so when I look at the earlier stuff I've made, I either lose hope because it worked beautifully (considering my lack of understanding at the time) or looks atrocious, regardless of the hours I spent trying to make something good.

I know we're "our own worst critics" but what about the mindset of creating something, then leaving it, walking away to do something new? Keeping you fresh mentally?

That was something David Lynch said about his work.

What do you think about that?

In the whole game. The others were just starting to talk about dating. We saw a few of them nude for different reasons, but hadn't even got to the date or kiss stuff. And not a single lewd with anyone in the ending.

So the side girls are main girls and the main girls are extras... I was going to call them "dorm girls" but we've been able to lewd a bunch of the BaDIK dorm girls now...

Thanks to the ending that's how it ended up, yes.

At least on a lewd level, on a romance/building relationship level, the MG still got development the others didn't.

But I don't think that (with my terrible English) I really understand your question.
Is the question how I stay motivated creating one image after another? If yes.. then I would say the primary motivation would be having a project or a goal.
And I am at a point now where Lovephobia is not just an "Just for fun" project anymore. It really grew onto my heart so all the motivation comes from it's own.
But I am not sure if that was even the question so before I look like an idiot I wait first.
And I am very sorry if I really understood your question the wrong way.

this comment made me laugh because I actually don't like to include any nudity in my screenshots for my spreadsheet. Well expect for a rare occasion where one screenshot with said nudity looks to good to not use so not very many of them for me. Tho I will say I have recently started to take " horny screenshots" just for the fun of it but not using them.

I'm the opposite, mine are updated when there's a better quality shot available, or when a character goes topless for the first time in a shot that shows her face well enough

It's now something very special to you.

Once it's completed will you want to re-do parts you're later not happy about?

Or, are you able to accept it as a completed work and then move on to something else?

Yeah I look out for a better quality shot I like and compare the one im using. I don't update them every update I just take new screenshots every update to compare and keep the ones I like the most and only update if I think one is bettter. Tho where we are different I just don't like to include any nudity in mine. Tho partially because I just generally think they look better with clothes on unless it's a really good shot like these 2.
