As I was just saying in a DM, my saves were broken as well, so I had to skip through the previous updates and it literally took 30 seconds, which doesn't say a lot. I'm going to try to push through to the end of this one this morning before the school run and work, so I can make my judgement and move on to the next thing.

And no, - in the original version, they just sat there, had a rather awkward talk, and eventually said their goodbyes. No kisses, no hand-holding. They acted more like strangers meeting for the 1st time than people who have a history.

Jokes aside, it’s my personal curse, I guess, - always falling for SGs! Some of them barely even got screen time. (Raven (LS), Livia (SH), The Leanan Sídhe (LltP), Kaylah - Hillside, Serena - Unbroken, Jade (BaR), Chandra (COBD)... the list just goes on!)

Min-hee got off my shit list in the latest update. I was pissed at her behavior, "I will give you one chance to explain why you're upset I kissed you". But, when she opened up and just wants her only real friend back. She may not have apologized, but it was really clear she was.

I ranted a lot after the previous update, I always saw Mina as self-centered and arrogant, and she got even worse after that bench kiss scene. Her acting in this update was actually quite unexpected. I don't think she would mess with MEA just for her own sake, she did it for MC. Regardless of whether we accept her feelings or not, she’s clearly in love with him. That said, I still see her only as a friend...

Honestly wasn't the biggest Ella fan, yea she's hot, but thought she was kinda bland, but I did quite like how she told the MC to fuck right off after she saw him with Maddison in the park (instead of hanging out with her or something?). So now I'm looking forward to more Ella. Cuz I loathe that in half these games, these stupidly hot chicks act like total fucking doormats. It's so absurd

Okay, so a little later than I wanted, but I finished it and I'm dropping it. Pretty graphics aren't enough to sustain a game, and this one has done too much to annoy me. Love how the forced sex scene has no chemistry to it whatsoever, there's no build-up at all, and then, in parallel to that, there's no real ending to it either, as she says "I want you to come on my face" while she's riding cowgirl, and then it fades out to the MC going to his car...

The MC who we've been guiding to be responsible and look after his family (apart from the 'flirt fighting' with Kira), suddenly can't keep it in his pants and turns in to an average F95 user - "ooh girl, I must fuck'.

I'll give it at least another update to see where he goes. Perhaps, he'll take some of the feedback and make it optional. If she says come get your prize and MC has choice to say no thanks, then I'd be ok with that, and you can still get drama from the scene, but we get to keep MC on the personality path we choose.

yeah not gonna lie I kind of like how the girls are in it with the hedonism and all since it's a vampire game , I do get why alot in the thread don't like it tho. For me it just makes a vampire game fun for me cause it kind of fits the image I have of a game with vampire culture in it , especially for an AVN.

But I honestly can't remember if I dislike or don't like Chole as id need to replay that part of the game. Only girls I felt like I started to dislike I think was one of the twins or both of them in the last update

LS - Lost Solace (actually, Law School never even crosses my mind, if someone mentioned LS in this thread, I'd automatically assume they meant Lost Solace, I guess I value it much more hence it's also in my SIG unlike Law School);

The girls look hot to me, but they’re all drenched in hedonism. Some scenes already feel forced, especially with Chloe. I despise her, she is actually proud of being "shared" among families (WTF?), and she sees it as her strongest perk. Her attitude doesn't change even if you make different choices. After the initial release, Dev said he’d make her optional, yet she still kisses us and MC acts like it was something "wow" and out of this world, as if she blessed him with that kiss.

I actually played Blood Ties on Monday. Wanted to give feedback in MT but got distracted by smth.

I’m in the same boat, more or less. I almost dropped the game when MC started drooling over Chloe, I can’t stand her personality, and seeing MC act like a simp felt completely out of place. In any other case, I would have walked away, unfortunately, you can count the number of decent vampire themed games on one hand here.

Another reason I stuck with it is the world-building. It feels - BL put some real effort into the Lore and the "Families" tree, and that was interesting enough to keep me hooked despite forced stuff. He integrated some major history events into the lore, like the annihilation of the Toltecs and Mayans, it was fun to read. I’m also a sucker for the aesthetic - pierced and tattooed goth vampires are right up my alley, even if 75% of the cast having piercings feels a bit repetitive after a while (Dev mentioned being a huge fan of them in the MT though).

Regarding forced LIs, I suspect characters bound by blood to MC - like Maya, the twins, and Elena - will eventually be forced routes. While I’m 100% fine with Maya (she’s easily Best Girl for me), I’d honestly rather avoid the twins. I get a somewhat toxic vibe from them in general, I don't like that they can read thoughts (MC can block their ability for now, but will that work forever?), and the way they treat Maya - it feels less like banter and more like they genuinely enjoy degrading her, even in front of others. That’s absolutely unacceptable.

Hopefully, Dev follows through on making chars like Chloe optional so we can focus on routes / fetishes we actually like. Giving us some agenda would be nice too, so far all major events are forced - MC's confirmation, drinking on RED...

It’s too early to say for sure, but as of right now my favourites are: Maya, Jenny and "mother".
Maya - we know basically jack shit about her aside from the fact that we’re bound to each other and share some kind of connection. Still, out of all characters we’ve met so far, Maya and Jenny are the only ones who feel genuinely sincere in their interactions and dialogue, no two faced shit or any hidden agendas (yet).
Looks-wise, she’s an ethereal goth vampire with heterochromia. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more.

Jenny - I’m usually not a big fan of childhood friend trope, but in this case they haven’t seen each other for years, so it doesn’t fully count. She’s sweet and loyal. I’m curious whether turning her into a vampire will eventually be a choice. From what I understand, Jenny never went through the "transformation" cause MC’s family always considered her "help", a loyal servants, but unworthy of becoming a vampire. Now that MC has obtained power, it’s probably within his ability to offer her that choice. Personally, I’d rather leave her human for the time being, especially since she seemed unsure about it. What makes this more ironic is that despite all the talking about humans having a choice on this matter, nobody asked MC - he just went through the Confirmation.

"Mother" - the way I see her - an arrogant bitch who doesn’t want to lose her power, and MC is the only legitimate way for her to maintain it. She’s stunning though, and honestly, I just want to break and "dominate" her. Since there’s a submission stat, I’m hoping that’ll become an option eventually.

Abi - another childhood friend. She’s visually appealing, but I really don’t like her character so far. On the plane, she’s all brave and bragging about being independent and doing whatever she wants, jada jada. At the same time, she admits she’s been keeping an eye on MC under Mother’s orders. After the Confirmation, during free roam, all that bravado completely vanished. She acted like a puppet on a chain - MC asks what’s wrong, and she just says, - "listen to your Mother". I can understand that to some extent, since everyone’s afraid of her... yet, a few moments later, Abi barges into MC’s room with Nelly and Alice and berates him for being too passive, calling him a baby for listening to others instead of doing what he wants.
What the hell? Either that’s incoherent writing, or she’s just a massive hypocrite. I’m leaning toward the latter. Anyway, Not saying she’s a lost cause, but for now - off she goes.

Can’t say much about other girls. The twins are bitches, the rest of the cast are not really to my liking, maybe Elena, I like her design, but we’ve barely gotten any renders of her so far.

One more thing - pacing. It’s way too fast. We barely get any time with current girls and new ones pop up. Too many chars, too little time to actually get to know them. And judging by that cliffhanger, it looks like we’re expecting at least a few more girls in the next update.

Overall, I’d give it 3.5 out of 5. Bite: The Revenant is still the best vampire game around here.
